  1. If they did then the base recharge time would probably be reduced as well so that it's perma out of the box. That would make it more in line with voltaic sentinel. The advantage would be that it would be easier to summon in every battle, but sustained damage would go down. I prefer it the current way simply because I'm used to it and it's more intuitive, even though lowering the recharge time and making recastings overwrite it would technically be a buff in pvp and in most pve situations.

    Having a power that does more damage in addition to coming up faster when you have recharge buffs on you while all other powers simply come up faster is bad design. The change brought lightning storm in line with all other powers in the game in that regard.

  8. If you're really desperate for cheap knockback protection, you can four slot kinetic crash in your explosive arrow.
  9. Achilles heel isn't as good as you think it is. The debuff it gives is seperate from the power effect. What I mean is that if you put it in sleet it doesn't give a 20% chance of making sleet a 50% debuff instead of 30%. There's a 20% chance that a seperate debuff that lasts for 10 seconds will go off.
    The reason this is important is because I'm 90% sure that achilles heel procs can't stack from the same caster.

    By slotting their stealth aura for defense and getting manuevers, storm summoners and dark miasmists get a little over 13% defense. This is defense that is being applied to the entire team (within range) to all defense types including psychic. This is especially noteworthy because they are both sets that do the majority of their damage mitigation through enemy disruption. Adding such a significant amount of defense on top of this makes them capable of covering the survivability needs for just about any team.
  12. Don't get thunderstrike, as its damage is rather poor. Then decide whether or not you really need another hold in shocking bolt. Charged armor is a must, and power sink is very good for a build like this that can potentially burn through lots of endurance.

    I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread that you can do your matches at any point within the week as long as you can get everyone.

    End drain is plenty viable in pvp. My storm/sonic will occasionally fully drain people. Just like in pve though, you'll suffer if you completely base yourself around it.

  18. Making a build that's capable of end drain is viable, but making a build that relies completely on end drain is not. If you're looking for a defensive secondary that you can mitigate damage with to make up for kinetic's offensive-ness, I suggest energy or psychic.
  19. What you have there should work pretty well. I do suggest taking a slot out of hasten though since a third level 50 common IO doesn't add very much. You could move it to O2 boost and change that to two common heal IOs.
  20. Back a long long long time ago when my storm/sonic was a storm/energy I dueled an ice/EM tank (I think it was Spark's) for eight minutes before finally losing. Longest fight ever.

  23. Storm/Psy should work well. They're both strong sets and neither of them have powers that would get in the way of the other.
