Nah thorny, bloodbowl is in a sense like warhammer with the figures but imagine orcs/elfs and goblins etc playing a violent game of american football where the team that wins is the one who scored the most goals or devastated the entire opponents team

S.L.A wasn't really us either. We mainly stuck to Shadowrun or the White Wolf games.

Funny, my guess for your type of character would have been a Ebon or a Frother. You can take that whichever way you want

Have to say my favorite S.L.A character was my wannabee rockstar wraith raider. Would play in a band (yes omg it didn't involve TV) in his spare time and do a bit of work for the Nightwatch. I think thats what they were called, the underground group against Mr Slayer....been a looong time since i played it so most likely wrong but talk about getting in some sticky situation with the other sla ops in the group at times. Lucky enough he was a fast-talker and some of the peeps in the group were mindless stormers

I certainly wasn't a perfect day to return for a last stop by sirens but neither was it bad for me.

Maybe it was cause it's been so long since I've been back 'in the game' so to speak and I mostly kept to solo play and I was neither in it for the bounty or rep just a good challenge from some of the vets which I certainly got.

It certainly was good for me in the sense that I got to fight some peeps I've gone against or teamed with so many times before.

I think it was a case of a bad beginning and it snowballing from there like obot said. I didn't pay the bad chatter on broadcast any attention though and being a solo corrupter without any kind of stealth or invis make it hard to catch much of the fights/tactics as you constantly have to be on the move.

Not to steal the thread or anything but would just like to thank all of ya that I was fighting against/with, you know who you all are. Thanks for rekindling old memories

It was nice teaming with you as well Krunch I think you might have had a bit of a rough day. Don't worry there will be better days but I do understand your frustration

Just read the responses and have to say I definately agree here. That to me is actually the single most important one

I think its more a question about knowing the AT and the powers. Know their strenghts and know their weaknesses. I do believe there is some form of 'skill' involved still.

Put two different players with the exact same builds against each other and skill will still play a certain part imo. Keeping your head cool and remembering what to use and when to use it etc.

A big missunderstanding that seems to happen alot is that some people tend to forget that which AT you put up against each other does matter. So going you got no 'skill' to someone because you were playing a /nrg blapper against a /therm corrupter for instance, just doesn't make much sense to me

Play how you wish to play your stalker. There's nothing wrong with them. I think what gets people is that you often die by them without having a chance to 'act' before you're face first licking cement. So when you do survive a AS then you want to get back at them and then when they run and hide kicks in people get easiliy frustrated. That's something they have to deal with. I myself have gotten frustrated by it but hey its the name of the game and they have to learn to deal with it, you're just playing what works best for you.

Personally I think the whole npc's and debt in a player versus players zone is ridiculous. I have nothing against the use of the enviroment but I think it could be done in a better way then NPC's. Put some low visiablity places in (like dark astoria) or a storm that would rage in the zone. Traps, when you jump over a wall to get out of your enemy's sight/attack so you could heal up and whoops suddently you landed on a trap that caused you to be slowed or lowered your dmg or similar for example.

Now I know this would require some sort of effort, so such things would hardly be implemented

It is Player versus Player zones, leave debt and npc's out of it I say

I whole heartedly feel ya Tyl. I left due to similar reason. I did poke my head into warburg tonight though to see how things were these days (hadn't done any pvp in a months time) and it was ugly, same ol story

What happened to the old days eh ? Seems to me it went from a fun pastime to a serious pastime for a lot of people
