My first born "Ironclad" has Fly, purely because a cape swishing behind you as you soar over the streets looks bloody gorgeous.
All my other spawn have SJ, because it's quick and looks good when leaping from roof to roof. -
True!
Ok I vote for a rooftop first, then maybe somewhere else if it picks up. -
That's what I want us to decide upon
Basilisk is starting to feel real lonely lol. -
Anyway to get back ON TOPIC lol....
I'd like to arrange something strictly OOC, to meet up. No IC reason whatsoever, just an apparently random moment etc. And take it as it comes, might fall on its face might not. -
To take Wonka's advice....
Who's up for a teen night at GG? -
That's kinda what I have in mind. I'm not gonna recruit or advertise a Teenager SG, just wanted to get an idea of who out there plays a teen
-
Ok guys, can we please return to the thread topic?
I asked, understood the reasons given and moved on. Can't you? -
Ermmm the topic has already been resolved. It is a great name, but its not ours to use.
Nuff said. -
Well actually Ironclad is officially a geriatric, being in his 80's.
I was actually thinking of an old Archer alt -
Gratz! FFM. Doubt I'll ever get there, but good to see another of the "old gits" reach their pinnacle
-
That was fantastic! Seriously! Best piece of fiction I've read since Wordmaker's day! And the view of the Invasion was terrifying!
Never mind the fact that her name "Top Story" is pure genius!
Bravo I say! -
That's why I PM'd Z to find out who it's "owners" were. I wouldn't dream of using it without EVERY members EXPRESS permission. Even if the members were all long gone. It just wouldn't have felt right.
Beautiful name all the same. -
Basilisk is level 14, 17yrs old.
A Teen Titans type thing sounds cool, I really liked the Rooftop Generation as a name though. I might see if anyone would object to it being used? -
Sorry about tonight guys. Comp totally crashed on me, then I had relatives round....
What happened? -
I'm expecting to be a bit late too, but I'm itching to join in :/
-
I'm gonna try and make it, tho I'll have alot of levels to catch up on if you're all 7.
-
Manolith being superstrong will probably be jumping at 14. Superspeed might be an option though as his enormous rocky hide will take some pushing to get off the ground.
-
Question.
What is the level limit for next Thursday's adventure? -
Given name: Evan Elliot
Hero:Basilisk (in game it's spelt Basi'lisk on account that Basilisk was taken but I really REALLY wanted the name
Gender:Male
Date of Birth:11/10/89
Powers:Amalgamated powers drawn from lizards.
Description of Powers: Possesses an incredible recuperative ability that constantly replenishes him. This means his recovery from injury and fatigue is greatly accelerated. Increased muscular density and efficiency, predominantly in his legs give him a range of devastating kicking attacks, and mean he is able to leap across large distances. Poison gland in his fingertips administer a stunning toxin that he uses sparsely, however theoretically were he mindless enough he could kill someone with the toxin by prolonging contact. Note: Gland is controlled consciously, luckily as it means he doesn't stun friends or family, though this does take some effort. Setae on his hands and feet give him a small degree of wall-crawling, however it's not exactly a fast way to travcl and is not available in game so it's purely for RP purposes/and or fiction. Small degree of enhanced senses, essentially he tastes/smells a possible threat and can sometimes be seen slightly sticking his tongue out and appear to lick his lips. Is developing some form of defensive camouflage when frightened.
Personality:Evan is still very timid, even after gaining his abilities. Feels a strong sense of duty, it is this feeling that drives him. Fun-loving teenager, but very considerate and thoughtful, often beyond his years. Puts others first.
Physical Description:As Evan: Scrawny, but with a strangely muscular undertone. Medium length hair, cheeky smile, wears cargo pants and tshirts mainly. Has just started at Paragon University studying Biology so sometimes carries a small rucsac. As Basilisk: Costume is very skin hugging, covered in a scale design with reptilian barbs on the forearms. Wears a modified pair of goggles over his eyes. Moves and crouches like a lizard.
History/Backstory: Quick version till the full one is written...
Accidentally injected with a genetically chimeric sample of lizard DNA while on a field trip to a Crey Laboratory. Initial reaction was a life threatening siezure. However instead of killing him, it bonded with his own DNA and gave him incredible abilities.
Bullied by Metas at school. Thought his newfound powers would change that, but it made things worse.
Was able to maintain his secret.
Sister was walking home from work, having sewed him a dragon costume during her breaks. She was mugged and left comatose. Evan took the costume, not quite finished and modified it before taking to the streets to find her attacker. He's still looking. -
((Sheesh, gonna be hard matching the standards of writing set by you guys....
February, 2006
Yo, John! You gonna be much longer down there? Its nearly breaktime!
Yeah yeah. Ill be up in a minute. Lost penetration with the drill, Im gonna try and break this stuff up with the sonic. Say, Gil? Get me a coffee, will ya?
Gil nodded, a pointless gesture seeing as his friend couldnt see him from the bottom of the excavation site. Sure bro. Just dont take too long.
John rested the expulsion rod of the sonic hammer against the strangely resilient rock that had repelled his drills best efforts at breaking through. Bracing himself and pushing his ear defenders over his ears, he flipped the switch.
The sound-wave pulsed through the rock, making his teeth chatter. The rock seemed to move with the ultrasonic vibration, then it stopped.
What the?
He wiped a sheen of sweat from his brow, the dirt and grime invisible on his dark skin.
Well Ill be damned. Not even a scratch!
He tapped the sonic hammers trigger and thought.
Taking a protective glove off his right hand he touched the rock.
KAPHWOOM!
Gil came running when hed heard the explosion. The site had collapsed. Tons of rock had toppled in on his friend who was nowhere to be seen. His friends radio whispered a morbid static, as though sighing a dirge to its owner.
May, 2006
Something moved under the loosened earth of the excavation site. Something massive and inhuman. Pushing upwards and out of the soil that embraced it.
At last! I made it! Im alive! Gil? You there buddy?
The site was abandoned. Police tape encircled the tents and equipment like the coils of some fantastic ribbon-like python.
What the? Where is everybody!?
The massive figure roared, a strange, grating sound like stone grinding upon rock.
What was that?
The figure stopped, dumbstruck and looked at its hands.
No! Oh god no! What am I? Whats happened to me!? The sounds, although unnaturally distorted were unmistakeably the sounds of a soul in anguish.
You are reborn.
Reborn? Who said that? What do you mean?
All in good time. Manolith.
Manolith? My name is John Henry.
John Henry is dead. You are Manolith.
The figure dropped to its huge, deformed knees. A heartrending sob filled the air as the thing that once was John Henry mourned.
((To be continued -
Ironclad killed once. A long long time ago. Admittedly it was a moment of grief fuelled rage at the murder of his wife at the hands of a super-villain, whose neck Ironclad snapped, but still.
Basilisk is constantly aware of how his powers could affect those he fights. He has to rein in his kicks, using them to push attackers away rather than pummel them into submission. His poisonous touch might cause anaphylactic (sp?) shock so again he has to think twice about using it and even when he does he's mastered only exposing an enemy to a miniscule dose.
Manolith. Well having been turned to stone by forces and for reasons as yet unknown, John is still somewhat irritable. Sometimes he takes this irritation out on an enemy, with fatal or near fatal consequences. But he's constantly aware of keeping civilians out of harms way. -
Not to sound like an idiot, though I am one regularly, but what do you mean by "killing" mobs?
Are we talking about what stops a character from killing eg Nevermore's Honour Code? -
Just brainfarts anyway. Every SG has similar situations however. The Vigil Vs War Crow, the GoD had their own hiccups with characters going rogue if I remember correctly?
But like I said, just tossing out ideas. -
Mobs obviously. If we went arresting players, even if we had the manpower, we'd be arresting them by the truckload :P
