Quote:That's for Incanate Salvage. I believe the OP was asking about the limits on Special Salvage which can be held on a character which is similar to base salvage although the limit may be different.Maybe I'm misreading this a bit, but wrt bases, a salvage rack will hold 30 items,
an enhancement table will hold 100 IOs, and Inspiration kiosks will also hold
100 inspirations. Each of these (rack, table, kiosk) count as 1 storage item.
You can have a total of 18 storage items in your base (including the Vault), and
afaik they can be any mix of salvage racks, enhancement tables and inspiration
kiosks as part of that 18.

Quote:ThirdedRegardless of the server, find out and join the big global channels that that server uses to get the most out of wherever you land.
and don't forget the global channels are accessible cross server
For defiant that would be Defiant Events
for Union the main is Sals Badgehunters - however its full - Union Badgehunters (precursor to Sals) is still active as is Union TF - with Union Chat for more social interaction
Both Union and Defiant are very active and friendly - Union has the higher population but both are larger than many of the US servers although smaller than Freedom or Virtue.
Both servers contain players of many nationalities other than UK players the most obvious being Spanish and Italians on Defiant and Dutch, Scandinavians and Slavic nations on Union.
However if you are looking to start about 11pm then that is when they will be quieting down with people heading to bed so one of the US servers may suit you better as that will be nearer peak time mid week. Even so you will still find players online and forming TFs at 3am - may be slow to start at that time though.
Wherever you go Willkommen. -

I didn't just mean combining Hydra Os or Hami Os but rather combining a Hami and a Hydra - admittedly there is a much higher chance of failure because of the level difference.

Quote:The "problem" with teams is that there are far too many people unwilling to get off their butts and start teams. They prefer to stand around spamming LFT messages and waiting for someone else to accept leadership.
Unfortunately only too true. The other problem is the number who do start to form a team - find they can't get a full 8 so give up. That and blind invites - many players will auto decline those for good reason. If you want someone to join let them know what you are running and the level - the same applies if you are LFG - let whoever might invite you know something about your character - level and AT would be a good start and if you see half a dozen all LFG then there is clearly enough interest if someone can be bothered to send the invites.
A lot of regular teaming is arranged via other channels - most commonly one of the server global channels or ones set up for a particular SG -
A lot of it is because that is where your character entered the game as a hero- a tiny proportion started in Galaxy then they return there basically to show of to those starting out.
Of course before GR came out it PI was full of lvl 1s begging to be powermissallcontented so maybe they got some peace.
Also bear in mind the entry to RV is via AP and so the PVP crowd could be some of them - well up until they destroyed PVP.
Also bear in mind some of the high level arcs send you back to AP -
Quote:correctI thought with the advent of the Super Leader, it was only the SL that could be auto-demoted.
One the period has passed whoever next logs in to the game in the SG will be promoted to SGLeader and if that is not the current SG Leader then the current one will be demoted to the next rank down. If the next person to log in is the previous SG Leader then they will keep their SG Leader rank -

Sounds like the boot files weren't copied to your recovery disk
On a Floppy - remember them - you could format with the /SYSTEM flag to create a bootable disk this formatted the disk and then copied the boot files
I'm assuming your recovery disk is a CD or DVD though so your best option may be to try booting from a Windows install disk - one reason I always recommend getting original media and not settling for recovery disks or worse a recovery partition. -

My first thought on this is that you are hitting the peak traffic period about 6-7pm - that could correspond to 11pm -12 midnight on the opposite coast in the US.

I /bugged this on Saturday in the case of Eden showing exits to StM and the Abyss - is it happening with Hero characters or is it just on Rogues?

If it prevents that library from being loaded then it should but if you need that funcionality then you will probably have other problems as a result.

Quote:If I received a response worded like that I'll give you one guess who would just have made it to bottom of the support priorities list. Insulting the person you are trying to ask for help is rarely a good idea.3) The quoted response above was after I replied to their automated email.
My reply said "I was just providing feedback. You didn't need to send me a response, and you sent the wrong response anyway. Do you even read these?".
To which I received the above quoted reply, proving that they don't read even emails.
You were just sent a response reminding you that the only support available to non VIPs is to use the form on the support site.
Bug reports will be closed very promptly usually with only the automated email.
Petitions will stay open for a couple of days after the latest update - if there has been no response in that time they will be closed. -
They should despawn when the target leaves the zone however if the target instead goes into AE or just sticks around in zone but out of aggro range - possibly at AH they are still in the zone and thus the ambush mobs do not despawn. Unfortunately in that scenario the target may not even be aware of the ambush.
If you call out in broadcast, help or one of the server globals you can probably get a higher level to clear the ambush - unfortunately they may also beat up the mobs to are targeting in the process but there's no shortage of LB to hunt in Mercy. -
Quote:I was saying "knock-down should be low magnitude knock-up" and in some cases, like Psionic Tornado and Air Superiority, it is.
I think they should stop calling powers, like Burst, "knock-down" when they are not so in every case. Actually, i want them changed to knock-up so my melee characters never have to worry about a melee power knocking an enemy out of range of melee powers, especially with AoEs.
The reason low mag knockback is known as knockdown is simple
The knockback mechanic sends the target backwards a distance determined by the powers magnitude and at the end of that it falls down.
When the mag < 1.0 the distance that the target is knocked back is zero - this does not remove the final part of that mechanic and so the target still falls down.
Knockup is a different mechanic in that the target will always be knocked upwards irrespective of the direction it is hit - it is based upon knockback but because of that directional constraint it is given a different power name.
Because the name of the power is different anything that is set to enhance knockback will not enhance knockup unless it is explitely set to also enhance that. -
Quote:Even IE has had similar memory leaks, but I normally had to go as far as closing the entire browser window (not just tabs) as it would hold onto every ounce of memory it could until I killed it entirely. It's rare anymore and seems to be mostly related to what I call "active" pages in which content is constantly updated in realtime.
With IE its generally badly written javascript handling - it loads every function into memory for each tab - whether it is used or not.
Because of this certain sites will use ridiculous amounts of memory. -
[QUOTE=T_Immortalus;4162947]Oh, so it seems to be another of those "quirks" AMD/ATI cards have then.
I have never seen weird bugs like this with any Nvidia card.
QUOTE]
Have seen this on an 8800 GTS - It was caused by NVidias bugged drivers setting a cooling profile that slowed the fan down the higher the load.
Took about 3 driver releases before they got fixed. Fortunately I was able to update the fan profile before it burned out the card.
AMD haven't made that mistake but it is likely that system cooling isn't up to the task - always a risk with laptops. -

Quote:This is a known issue with Firefox that has been going on for quite a long time that seems to only get worse with each update. You can find quite a few complaints about it online but Mozilla has never acknowledged it nor tried to fix it as far as I know. The suspected culprit is Flash video. It seems that after watching a undetermined, seemingly random number of videos on Youtube, etc Firefox will start having CPU usage spikes where it will go from 3% or 5% usage up to 15% up to 25% usage then back to 3% every 4 to 10 seconds. When this happens Firefox will freeze briefly even when you are no longer watching videos. This makes scrolling the page, typing in a text box, etc a pain because it freezes every few seconds. It used to be that it only happened occasionally and restarting Firefox would fix it, temporarily, but lately it happens almost every time and I've had the problem persist even after restarting Firefox. I finally just had enough of it.
There have been some reports of the same issue in Chrome but I've yet to see it.
Its also well documented as is the workaround
Minimise FF then restore it. That should clean up whatever is causing the memory leak. -
Quote:What chance do you really think that LB can hold her for any length of time?Yeah, this was basically +5. Not fun, especially because afterwards:
1) Ghost Widow gets taken by Longbow (pretty significant NPC)
I've had some who have failed this in the past and she was available to pick as a patron later - no need to worry about missing any other content because of this. The tech to allow this was introduced with GR much later.
Quote:2) The mission giver goes: "I'm very disappointed in you and will not give more missions."
If you are quick you can exit mish and reset it between her dropping and the mish failing.
