But PvP zones have their rewards, double exp on missions in them, Badges, Temp Powers, etc. and so to complete the required tasks I must also accept the consequences.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

Double XP for PvP zone mishes was removed several issues ago
  2. Well its not that long since GV Flyer was fixed so it will spawn more than once in a blue moon with pink spots so that may be what he was talking about, the spawn rates of most have also been increased.

    Soloing

For safest soloing you would be looking at the tanks or a Mind controller but these are likely to be fairly slow.

Fire tank, Fire/Kin controller or Ill/Rad tend to be the most popular for solo builds.

Personally I like my Will/Ice tank - dropping all the EBs in the Faultline arcs with brawl just had to be done after the first one dropped to it - and my Grav/Sonic controllers - lots of single target damage and a pet that can soak damage and keep the mobs either held or flying back away from you, cave mishes can actually be fun with this. Only tried one AV and got him to below half health before end issues got in the way so it may be feasible.
  4. Or much simpler - when star gets transferred - it cannot go to an AFK player. If everyone if AFK when the leader drops then first person to return gets it.
  5. I believe in general the effects keeping the mob in place tend to take priority but not completely certain so normally the mob would cower but if the check for flee in panic fails they will stagger under the stun rather than running off.
You will see both the ghostly fear animation and the seeing stars ones on them though.
If they are held or slept as well then that definitely takes priority and I think holds show over sleeps, confuse won't show as anything except cor the red glow.
  6. End Consumption is in there as well so will be easier than picking it out of the detailed descriptions
  7. It used to be a lot harder as before I5 iirc you didn't get the book icon and had to guess which contact had the open arc. Of course there is the fun bit that you may end up one shotting an AV (Dr Vahz that was you that my defender blasted apart)
  8. Mind/Storm
    Grav/Sonic *2

Personally I've only ever seen one other Grav/Sonic but looking at this topic there's several others have them
  9. Bah edit option has timed out

Anyway Graphics drivers are currently at the latest version according to NVidia's site.
Would be nice to know if anyone is having this problem on XP
  10. Also seeing this problem after several hours playing

    Vista Ultimate
    Quad Q6600
    Nvidia 8800 GTS 512
    4 Gb Ram

    Latest Windows updates applied.

    Several common factors here

    Vista
    NVidia GPU
    Quad Core Intel CPU
    Lots of RAM

Guess its time to check the drivers are up to date.

    HOW COOL

If you want it how it used to be then make sure you pick up your debt badge development pack at level 5
  12. Well if you are so offended by them claiming to have stolen the armour why not actually try roleplaying that offence and go grassing them up to the nearest arachnos agent - of course you may have to deal with their ways of getting the whole truth about how you sold the armour to them in the first place

I'd like to see any warshade outaggroing my fire/fire blaster and keeping the aggro while I wtfaoe like crazy on 8 man team mobs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You don't need to out aggro the fire/fire blaster a human form ws has a threat level mod of 2 against the blasters 1 so assuming the blaster is at damage cap - the ws will be so it will probably still out threat your blaster. Even if not between mire the nuke and the mini nuke anything you draw aggro from will be on its way to the zig before you take any attack back - unless of course you charge in before the ws gains the aggro
  14. Gaia

    The human form

Well with the right team makeup you have damage at cap, resistances at cap, acc at cap, no end issues against anything below an av thanks to Stygian, a very good pet which can be summoned multiple times, stealth and +perception and from level 1 a travel power. You can use your nuke (and the mininuke as well) as part of your normal attack chain without having to wory about the end crash - expect it to detoggle you, then hit Stygian and suddenly you are back to full health and end to continue fighting with virtually zero downtime.
  15. Unusual yes but a lot of fun. What is does is teach you to adjust your playstyle according to the other ATs in the team.
Yes you get detoggled a lot with some mobs - I tend to find crey of all things are the worst for this with their ice attacks, however once you get Eclipse your toggles are much less vital and the mezzes don't tend to last long. Get a couple of trollers on the team and you shouldn't get mezzed all that often with the majority of mobs.
  16. I tend to like Life Drain as well - I consider it as one of my attacks rather than a heal primarily, although it can be a life saver if you are low on health and Twighlight Grasp has missed or if you don't have time for the activation time.

Blackstar I would agree for pve is of very limited use as for a nuke its not high enough damage to be confident the mob will all be defeated with +3 mobs. Its in my build still but the number of occasions where it was actually useful I could count on one hand - with a few fingers missing.
Arena battles it can be very effective especially if the match is set for max recovery.

Moonbeam I like - it is very useful for pulling in pve and can easily be used in a 1v1 duel in pvp or once the mobs have been locked down with all the control in DM.

Torrent and Blackhole I never even tried.

    Cysts and stuff

Oh and don't forget in the near future we are getting numbers - so just need the anoraks now.
  18. There are things that coalition members can do during a raid to help although they cannot directly participate. Generally this involves applying buffs at the base portal or supplying insps.
  19. With IR the speed debuff does not stack, the mez resist does and I believe the dam res does not. Its a fast recharge so you can buff the whole team but they'd better not be wanting SB as well or you'll be doing nothing else other than applying those two buffs. With no recharge in it or hasten it can be stacked 12 high on a single target but its a short duration buff so keeping it at that level is a full time job and not really worth it - if you need that much mez resist you're fighting someone like Ghost Widow and it won't get near her mez mag anyway, although it will break them. I guess it may be of use vs Tsoo Inkmen in large mobs though as these can regularly mez granites without being able to stack all that high over the mag.
Personally I find I rarely need to use it on my defender but it is very useful when it is needed and most others don't realize what it does anyway. I'll pick it up on my corrupter once I can find room for it but I am finding other powers are of a higher priority atm
  20. [ QUOTE ]

Not really, there are 4-5 servers that at least double defiant and union together over there

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say Freedom is the only one where this is the case, there's only one other which regularly gets into the yellow, all the others appear to be a very similar peak level as either Defiant or Union. I've actually seen Defiant at yellow (and even red once) more often than any of them other than the big 2
  21. [ QUOTE ]
Wonder what a team of 8 'trollers or 8 defenders would do?

    [/ QUOTE ]

8 trollers did it in the first few days of I9 going live - took them about an hour iirc
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Freedom (US) has more players than Union and Defiant put together lol. At least if Defiant and Union were merged we'd have a fairly bustling community.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Freedom has more than almost any two other US servers combined so not really a good comparison.
  23. Up for this on my Corrupter

    Name Deadly Doc
    AT Corrupter
    Powersets Dark/Dark/Mu

Snipe, heavily slotted controls and mass rez, fluffy slotted for holds if he survives long enough.

Oh and Hami is why I'm not lazing away as an overpaid consultant in Brickstown Hospital so I want revenge.
