  1. yes - I still regard them as 3 mini nukes so much better burst damage but the WS pets will out damage given any sort of length of a battle
  2. although if you are out of range they will tp to you bypassing the mobs - good luck doing it reliably though
  3. could be worse - could have a family consig drop a sing just at the entrance to the corridor you need to go down - all that melee damage that cant't get near melee range
  4. Oops I was of course thinking of Triage beacon on my MM but tbh the comments still apply equally well to Spirit Tree

So I'm not the only only one then Mum - good to know that even the best have made that same mistake
  6. Debt actually meant something and you got it from level 5, standard slotting was 6 slot for damage although whhen ED hit I looked at my build and couldn't be bothered with a respec to change the slotting for Health and Stamina - those were the only powers that it affected.
Then there were the mob level bugs with CoV release lvl 1 ambushes at any level on occasion or the 53 sings spawning on lvl 33 mishes or the lvl 40 lanaru on lvl 20 ones.
Construction sites that turned into the arenas.
Regen scrappers soloing Lusca - actually Lusca being a regular event just like Hami Raids.
Paragon Dance Party - I suspect the zone is still there just not accessible - I know it was 2 months after it was removed as I had a toon in it still at that point.
  7. The big difference between the two Khelds is that WSs are superior offensively and PBs defensively.
How do I deal with Qs/Voids - easy enough even before they got nerfed to the point they ceased to be any sort of threat. Nova form - open up with one of your KB attacks and blast them into oblivion before they get back to their feet.
The 3 self heals that a PB gets make a huge difference to your survivability and allow you to be a decent tank in dwarf form - your taunt still requires a to-hit check but is up often enough to spam although your attacks will help you keep aggro as much.
At a push you even have a reasonable single target ally heal

If you intend using human form a lot then yes you will want stamina - if you are primarily in the forms then avoid it. I have neither stamina nor Conserve Power on mine but I am primarily Nova/Dwarf with human powers basically where there was nothing else to pick and so have very little end problems.
  8. Well I guess with the zombies out in force - why should the forum be immune

    Kin/Elec help

    [ QUOTE ]

a)is kin/elec/power more suitable for PvP than a melee toon?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    A kin/elec IS a melee toon
    [ QUOTE ]

c)other basic advice?I usually play melee toons.

    [/ QUOTE ]

well I recomend steering clear of elec brutes - they will resist your end drains.
Definitely take Power Build Up from your epic - it will greatly increase the effect of transference and short circuit and don't forget to spam your debufs, the combination of siphon speed, siphon strength and fulcrum shift will neuter most of your targets. ID is useful for teams and remember the move boost from siphon speed and the jump from IR do not suppress when you attack - this is likely to change with I13 so take advantage of it now.
  10. Try checking you don't have caps lock on. Also are you certain you are running the EU version of the client - if you downloaded it from the website it will possibly be pointing at the US servers

Seriously though, I have already suggested that when architect hits, I was gonna sort a mission arc that involved stealing sal's badge collection, so Im happy for something like that to be done!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Right - we need to make sure the Devs see this so they can make this happen for real - just leave a new badge that can't be stolen "Badgecrime Victim" or maybe award another one that appeared around about Easter that no-one has been able to earn and even devs lose when they zone.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
its not a good power...period, not in the set or alone, the regeneration boost when you look at it isnt enough to assist the squishies, or provide a notable boost to those using regen.

    Most skippable power ever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've only got it on my petless MM and you don't get any squishier than that. Its a huge boost to survivability for any battle thats relatively static - if you're in a team thats steamrollering through the mobs taking them down in seconds then yes its pretty much pointless but for static fights - AVs, Zombies, Rikti, MS Raids or solo it is extremely useful.
  13. [ QUOTE ]

And with the damage output of a Plant controller (blasters don't have a monopoly on excessive spammable AoE damage) I need about one large spawn to tell whether the tanks I'm grouped with are WP or something better at holding the aggro.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep my dom is extremely effective at pulling aggro off of tanks and brutes if they haven't got them locked down properly and thats out of domination.
But if you are only finding out the sets the tank has after attacking the spawn then you can only blame yourself. Check powersets when they or you join - that way you can identify any likely limitations and adjust your playstle accordingly.

Its also why I don't herd up huge mobs on my WP tank - I know I have to rely on taunt and my ice controls to keep the aggro under control and tbh I suspect my ice patch holds the aggro better than rttc as well as keeping the mobs knocked down which is a substantial benifit to survivability
  14. Also if you intend exemping regularly remember the bonuses each enhancement gives will reduce - mainly affects those that build characters for zonal pvp in the lower level zones but will also apply for anyone exemping for any other reason

Ayw we can smuggle you in under our hefty winter coats, seeing as Brumland is likely to be snowed in by then :P

I'm hoping yesterday's snow will be clear by then

But how do we know what doors to knock on?

I cant see where it says that...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Any non-mission, non-shop door will do in any zone.

Basically any door which, when you'd normally click it, would say "You cannot enter" will do it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It must be in a zone appropriate to your level and the ones on Monster Island, Outbreak and I presume Breakout don't work - nor will ones in mishes - don't know about the Hive or the Abyss. All other zones should work though.
And if its the door for one of your mishes you will enter the mish as per usual. Don't be surprised if there are mobs by the door when you exit though.
  17. Thats pretty much the tactic used on most runs I've done - they don't need to be out of sight thought just out of healing range and preferably far enough away that my Dom doesn't get their aggro - the hurt when you're squishy
  18. [ QUOTE ]
Fudge is tastier and keeps the event running . Given that it's effective and Issue 13 is rapidly rolling ever closer it makes sense to go witht he fudge rather than a full fix at the current time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oooooh RAPIDLY and don't eat all of the fudge - the rest of us like it as well.
  19. If you're not dying a lot then the recharge is pretty much wasted. I'd also not be puting the unique in there - much better in anything else that will see more use - health if you have taken it and use human form or one of the self heals.
  20. you'll find maps showing the entrance on vidiotmaps.com but tbh its definitely easier to find the tunnel entrance on the south side of the dam.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
why do Tanks always seem to get range enhancers?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Useful for a stoney though for the ineviatable TP.

Probably the same reason my trollers get taunt ones or my kins get blues dropping almost exclusively at times
  22. Was doing some firefighting in Steel when one of the invasions spawned - zombies do burn nicely
  23. I was meaning one of the FP (iirc) Heroes not the pedestrians and they do vary in height but if its only done for one model then the height variation doesn't come into it and they definitely do use combat animations - actually the pedestrians use those as well to flee in panic.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
I think walking is hard to add - otherwise, they'd have given it to us by now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thats because of the huge amount of resources needed to investigate the feasibility of animated hair :P
iirc it was done on one of the npc models for a video at one point and so is technically feasible
  25. [ QUOTE ]
The lifts at each end of the club act as selective barriers for the two factions, use of recall friend would, theoretically, circumvent that and might allow Villains access to Paragon City and Heroes access the The Isles.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've zoned into the hero side of the lift in the past on one of my villains - the doors into the zones check which side your on so you cannot get out in any event.
