I feel I need to clarify something. When I say I lose connection - I don't mean I just lose connection to CoH - I mean my net connection drops altogether and I have to reboot my router. This only happens while playing CoH. At no other time does it do this. I have not played CoH since my original post on 30th October, and my connection has never dropped.

I will start playing again, using the netgraph, and see if it happens again. I will try to keep a record of how much time passes before it drops. Perhaps there is a pattern? Is it possible that the modem/router temporarily overheats because of constantly processing data for pro-longed periods of time?

Sounds more like a firewall issue if its killing your net connection rather than just affecting connectivity to the game servers.

Check the logs on your router and any software firewall/AV you are using and check if anything is being blocked that shouldn't be - you may need to open some ports.
It is possible that something is being flagged up as suspicious and so the firewall is blocking that port/program after repeat attempts to do something.

Also if you are using a third party software firewall (including any provided with your AV software) then disable the Microsoft firewall - you don't want to run two at the same time.

You can enter, however inside shows as giving credit towards Caregiver - you need to be adjacent to the Hospital but outside

There were two major graphical updates - one just after you say you stopped playing and another just before you came back.
Like other games those raised the minimum spec to play well
Also like many other games SLI has little or a negative effect on graphics performance. As things stand there is so little software which takes full advantage of it that it is of little benefit.
Having said that I was until recently running a Q6600 CPU and a 8800GTS 512 GPU at 1800x1600 and that was giving me about 20 ish fps blueside and about 18fps in GV or on Arachnos Maps.
With the earlier beta stages of GR I could get about 20 fps in Nova but the graphics update in the later stages of the beta required a reduction in resolution and AA with AO disabled.

In other words if you wish to take advantage of the UM settings fully you *WILL* need to upgrade your hardware or reduce your settings. The graphics engine has been upgraded to the levels you could expect on a current grahics intensive game and 3 year old hardware will struggle on maxed out settings.
This isn't a case of increasing the GPU memory quantity required - thats down to your resolution. The bandwidth of data on your graphics bus otoh has increased greatly with much higher graphics settings - reflections, shadows PhysX etc. And the maps have been updated with considerably higher detail - those changes require more processing power from the GPU not more memory - more recent GPUs will handle much more processing on the card itself but on an older GPU more of this is handed off to the CPU which increased the amount of data traversing the bus.

    avoid 11.5-11.8

    Stuck Mobs

You can avoid the KB (and hence the mobs flying backwards into the wall) by making use of Grav's Immobs - those have a high -KB (-10k% iirc)
  6. If combining an enhancement would take it to > 3 levels above you current level it will only allow it to be replaced e.g. if you are lvl 27 and have some lvl 30 enhancements (whether 30, 29+ or 28++) slotted you cannot combine those with another and dragging another enhancement to the slot will replace it.
    That is WAI

    END drain

Have you checked your Combat Stats to see what is using so much End and also what your Recovery Rate is?

Could also be the mobs you are fighting the below all drain end heavily
Malta - most know all too well about Sappers
    Arachnos - Mus
    Clockwork - All
    CoT - Air Thorns
Carnies - Ring Mistresses and defeat of any.

Also use of Hasten will cause you to use more End without raising your recovery
Check your enhancements - particularly End Mod and End Red aren't red and also that any Rech weren't red before and are now working (same result as with using Hasten)
Were you teaming with Emps or Rads before and then not when you rechecked?

Theoretically 3 people could spawn them but in practice they won't be able to kill enough whilst keeping one alive to do so.
Generally 1-2 full teams should be able to manage it and no they don't actually need to be teamed just enough present in the area to exceed the P:M threat ratio

Being on a team shouldn't affect it.
You earn Day Job credit whilst logged off and it is awarded when you log in. You won't be exemped at this point or on a non TF team for that matter.
On a TF (or anything else using the TF mechanics) you still could be.

I have uninstalled the drivers and have installed several versions 11.4, 11.7,11.8,11.9 and beta 11.10. None of them have fixed this issue. I am running on an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. There's nothing at the AMD site about that file. I don't know if the xx in the name is a place holder fora version number or an actual part of the file name.

Has anyone had/heard/fixed this problem? The game is non-playable now. I have reverted to my older laptop but I don't want to stay on that computer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Rularuu have only 2 serious gimmicks: you can't sneak past the eyeballs and just about every one of them has a hold. So if you can get someone with Clear Mind, Clarity, O2 Boost, Thaw, Enforced Moral, Antidote, or even Stimulant who is good about using their power preemptively, all your team mates without anti-mez armor will be more effective.

What you want is that everyone is available to toss out their AOEs. Lots of AOEs is what makes the missions go faster. Of course, having a Kinecticsist along is always nice.

Don't leave home without your O-portal.

Remember, if the mission is close to the wormhole to the next Shard Zone, you can jump off your island to auto-tp back to the starter island, then take the swirly portal back to the FBZ base where you take the direct portal to that next Shard Zone, so you can turn around and jump into the wormhole to bring you back closer to where your mission is -- this assumes your multiple zoning time is faster than you can fly.

Its the Wisps that have the holds that are worth worrying about and generally if the team has decent AoE damage they don't last long enough to worry.

Also if you are running this on a Rogue then DO NOT go to Orub or your base - these are faction specific and will boot you from the team - currently going to PD will also but that is clearly a bug.
If you don't have Fly pick up a jet pack in FBZ its so much easier than using the geysers

Oh and Rularuu don't actually ignore invis but like Crey or Nemesis Snipers have extremely high Acc and hence Perception so if you are trying to stealth keep your distance.

Mish TP to get back helps *a lot* to overcome this. (Of course you then have to wait on the Heroes catching up)
Getting out of the Shards is quick enough - just jump off the edge and respawn at zone entrance twice then use the LRTP in PI.

    Quite a few!

I'll get about a dozen Day Job/Day Job Accolades awarded when I eventually decide to turn one of my Doms full Hero.
  14. Did this on one of my villains last night and got the equivalent message as in your second example. It seemed pretty clear to me. I hadn't done a morality mish on that toon so didn't qualify. Not sure it could have been worded any clearer.

Your first example of having just dome a Hero morality mish I would agree is not clear from that message. From the patch notes posted this looks as WAI however I'd consider the message to be a bug and needs to state you must be reinforced as a Hero/Villain. The current wording implies you should qualify.
  15. The usual solution to these are tp foe if they can still be targetted. AOEs and wormhole will still work if you can no longer target them. If you knock them through the wall and beyond the AOEs radius then its either petition time or restart the mish.
  16. Noticed this on the first mission of her patron arc - mobs were spawning at lvl 40. Later mishes spawned at correct level.
  17. I'm not convinced this was ever fixed as such - you stopped being autokicked if you went to a redside zone when on a TF or a blueside zone on a SF because they were accessible to all.
Oro and SG/VG bases are still faction specific which would explain why you get kicked zoning to one.
RWZ otoh is definitely odd - any issues with PD, Cim or Midnighters?

That kit is 2 2Gb modules so you should have 2 spare memory slots available - worth checking visually first though as a few MBs didn't have 4 memory slots. Assuming that to be the case you shouldn't have any problem adding another 2 2Gb modules.
There is still a memory limit but you won't hit it on any desktop or server for a few years yet.
