    Again.
Part of the rationale behind the WSTs was to encourage players to run the less popular TFs/SFs. It shouldn't be necessary that every time a specific SF is the redside WST that the blueside one needs to be the same.
There are still both TFs and SFs that are very rarely run but never form a WST.
  2. I'd suspect its down to Atlas having been redone and the old low res maps aren't rendering correctly.

To you maybe - to others its appearance, to others still its gameplot, to others still its something else.

To the businessmen that allocate the development resourses its whatever generates the best financial return - that will be a balance of what everyone wants.

If that was all that this is about I might agree with that sentiment but I feel that people's time is important if you commit to doing something then it is your duty to see that through - at least until there is a consensus that something can no longer be done. It doesn't matter whether that is something in a game or something that will change history - its still their time that you are wasting.
As Tony said if someone says before starting that they only have so long to do the task then I am perfectly prepared to accept that and there is no problem with them leaving at or after that time - they have met what they had committed to do but those joining and finding it doesn't finish in the fastest possible time then leaving I have no interest in teaming with.

    As my villains might say

If you won't spend the time - don't do the SF or any other crime

Given that the ragdoll physics are handled clientside and the KB changes affect character position which is serverside code I can't see these being related.

Not as rare as you may think - just that its most commonly known as Windows Server 2003

Latest SP is SP2 for that.

That is the first problem. The UI windows will not go back into the correct place.
Saw the problem of the chat window and powers bar moving away from the edge of the screen but had no problem moving them back but I play with maximised windows.

This is how my screen looks when I press the "un-maximize" button in the upper right on the program bar for the game:

That should not happen. The game needs to default to a resolution and window size smaller than maximized when you press that button, otherwise it could potentially be stuck above the viewable and clickable screen such that you can't change it back. I just got lucky that it didn't push it up any higher.

This is standard Windows behaviour - if you toggle off the maximise setting your window position and size will revert to the previous settings. If these have your window positioned off screen before you maximise then it will still be when you remove the maximise setting.
Where your desktop resolution differs from your game resolution and something causes the game to crash it can mess up your windows settings though - leaving your desktop set to your game resolution.

Also have you tried asking the new Superleader to promote you?

I'm going to join with Feefa and go with the "not experiencing this at all" sentiment. It looks like a graphical artefact and so is probably related to your GPU or its drivers but until we see the details Hyperstrike asked for (the picture on his post is a link) there's not much more anyone can say.

You could purchase 1200 months of VIP - that should pretty much give you a lifetime subscription. If it doesn't then you shouldn't have much reason to complain.
  12. Did you exit the launcher and restart it before trying to repair - it sounds like windows is holding a lock on that file and preventing it from being updated.

If that fails then try deleting the problem file and then repairing
  13. FreeRam.exe - you do realise that these utilities don't help on PCs running any recent Windows version and can result in reduced performance as they interfere with Windows memory management forcing more frequent disk access and so slowing the system down..

I'm sure I've seen some reports also of incompatabilties between SnapFish and CoH

In the UK copyright is automatic unlike trademarks and patents there is no need to register it.
Things can get more complicated if you create something whilst working for someone else, using their tools and/or time in which case you may be considered to be acting as their agent and the copyright in such a case may belong in part or completely with the employer.
A similar situation may be the case here where the character is created within the context of the game.

If on the other hand you own the copyright prior to creating the character (probably not easy as the character is created within the game rather than being imported in to it) you would retain that copyright but may give up certain exclusive rights as defined in the EULA.
Other forms of IP would be easier to maintain ownership of.

The best option is to consult a lawyer beforehand and then agree a contract with NCSoft making it clear who owns what IP and what each party may do with it. Once you have that in place it will be much easier to proceed.

    Any suggestions?

[I sent it in as a "Bug Report" on one character; should I have sent it in as "Technical Issue"/petition instead?]
Have you previously claimed that power or had it automatically granted - if so you won't get to pick it again.
There was also a bug at one point where you could have all 4 powers and all the non combat pets. These were disabled but still present in the powers trays when that was fixed. It may be possible that if you were affected by the previous bug then the game is detecting an existing power even though it is disabled and not giving you the option as a result.

If you want someone to fix it then yes you should /petition it. If you want to report a bug then /bug it. If you want to do both then /petition and /bug it.
The reports go to different departments.

You only need to unlock it to start the TF. You can join it without unlocking it.
That would be more applicable to ITF as you need to do the mish to gain access to Cim

I googled it - and I found someone had to get support to add the code for them, but that was a few years ago and I was hoping it had changed....

That would be the DVD Edition for CoH. Collectors edition was CoV.

You should be able to add it provided you don't already have a code for that vesion registered against your game account
  19. have you tried reversing the order

    i.e.

    /macro f "cc 1$$powexec_toggleon fly"

there are some things which will interrupt the executed command - don't know if the costume change is one of them.

Funny thing is, I've never done an ITF with a sub 50 char, so I might be horribly wrong.

For the OP, I would guess there'd be nothing to stop the group from doing another DFB once they finished Synapse to get them that push to be high enough for Sister. After Sister, they'd be wise to run a Moonfire. (and they'd probably have to to get high enough for Citadel.
After Citadel, you'll be about 27, maybe 28. Defeats and debt for different members of the group will impact things a bit, as well xp boosters and such.

But! Double XP weekend is coming up! Do it in one weekend, hero!
really depends on what you are playing - speed runs are fine for toons that can handle the extra aggro but on squishies they can mean a lot more debt which will significantly slow levelling. Once you reach higher levels and can pick up defence bunuses from IOs this becomes less of a hindrance as you can choose to slot for defence but on a balanced team and a normal run the melee toons can take that aggro and there is no need to slot for extra defence. On a speed run there is a lot of loose aggro.

That's not the only cause - what is happening is that when the PC is powered up the PSU checks the PWR_CHK line if this does not return +5v it assumes there is a fault and immedietely powers down to protect the system. A short can cause this but so can faulty MB, CPU or PSU or indeed anything that shows up during POST which is deemed sufficiently critical including the thermal sensor on the CPU which will signal a fault if the temperatures go too high and ground the PWR_CHECK thus shutting down the PSU.

The reason you can power up the PSU in that way is because you are bridging the +5v line to the PWR_CHK line but bear in mind that the +5V is rated to carry much higher currents.

For a short the most likely causes are a screw dropped inside the case - quickest check for that - pick up the PC and shake it - if you hear a metallic rattle something is loose that shouldn't be. Just don't forget PCs are heavy so bend your knees NOT your back.

OK no problem CMOS jumper is shown on p7 bottom right opposite the ram slots
Procedure on p25 - unplug from mains and short the jumper.

Load the Fail Safe defaults - you can reapply any overclock once you know you have a working system.

Doesn't sound like failed ram - that will generally give a beep code and you say you find the system still auto shutting down with nothing installed except the CPU and presumably the CPU fan.

That would restrict it to MB, CPU or PSU - same problem with the other PSU make it unlikely that is the problem.

So as I said clear your BIOS settings and then try again with only CPU and CPU fan connected - if the fan keeps spinning start adding everything else back in until either it fails or you have a working system.

Oh and too much TIM between the CPU and the heatsink can be worse than too little as it will act as a thermal insulator - it is intended to fill in the microscopic gaps not to create a thick layer between the two. It has better conductivity than air but is much poorer than metal to metal contact
