Quote:Sounds plausible but as you say really needs someone with the hardware to try things out first or if you can borrow them from a friend.Getting more on topic... Does anyone know if this is plausible for CoH. I looked up some tutorials on youtube, and it looks pretty straight forward on how to get the wiimote as a mouse, though im not 100% sure if it would work as I imagine. My main question would be assigning actions to the various wiimote/nunchuck combinations. So I would want to be able to remap wasd to the nunchucks analog stick and left click to the "a" button, tab to the "b" button and riht click to "z" maybe.
So has anyone tried this? Or anyone more tech savy than me that already has some of the components like their tv hooked up to the pc want to try it? Cause I dont want to waste money getting the parts that I need to do it only to find out it would not work.
There are some who have got CoH to use various game controllers in the past - its mainly a matter of identifying what the various controls map to. It may also be that movement controls map to the joystick settings in CoH. -
Once its perma do we get multiple pairs cf Dark Extraction or does any summonned replace existing ones cf most pets.
And they definitely fail to appear if the target dies during the activation at present. -
Are they sending you to the newly revamped zone or the the one accessible via orub.
Also is this a new mission or did you have it or possibly just the arc before I22 was released. -
DA used to be a Hero zone and so didn't appear in the redside search. That should have been changed when it became co-op - if it hasn't been updated to do so then it's a bug and you should /bug it

Quote:They can do any of those as soon as they are promoted to a SG/VG rank with those permissions.OK, I know that a premium has to be at least Paragon Rewards Tier 2 in order to join an SG, but at what level can a premium:
1) invite others into an SG,
2) promote others
3) modify storage permissions, etc.
Is that included with the Tier 2?
(I'm basically trying to figure out if it's worth the hassle to set up a premium account just to have a toon of my own to use to invite my other alts into my solo SG's)
Your Paragon Rewards status is irrelevant to that. -
Quote:And as you have said you received it and the February one at the end of the month when they were due. Guess what March isn't finished yet - that's why you haven't received it.ok so somehow in January i woke up in the morning and had this email saying my Sub was Cancelled, so i resubbed by Jan 11th, got my 400 Points for January, but never my Reward Token, so then came Feb and now March, and im still missing that 3rd monthly token, assuming it is the January token i am missing, when should i expect to receive it?
i was told i should get it by the end of january or something when i previously made a thread about this missing token in late January -
If you want a fly power that doesn't de-toggle or prevent you using other powers and doesn't expire then you have a very simple solution - pick Fly from the travel powers. A permanent power doing that for a very modest financial outlay would be vastly overpowered - in many ways it could be argued that the various jump/fly packs available should also have the same power suppression effect but that would be harder to apply as they are already in-game without the disadvantage and retrogressively applying it to a huge proportion of the playerbase would be a marketing nightmare.

Quote:Bodyguard mode against an AoE using EB - sounds like a recipe for debt to me unless you are carrying enough purples to keep your pets buffed as well.It won't help you right now (unless you have a free respec), but consider becoming a tankermind. If you pick up provoke, you can keep her attention on you, leaving your pets free to attack her without retribution. That, plus hearty use of luck inspirations and bodyguard mode should get you through most solo stuff.
Painbringer on your heaviest hitter and send them to attack, resummoning as needed would seem a better idea.
Alternatively ask on the global channels on your server for some help. -
Quote:If you think good 700W PSUs are expensive consider that "cheap" 700W PSUs are a *LOT* more expensive and will probably be outperformed by a good 400 or 500W unit.Basically, one of the rigs I'm looking at has a very cheap 700 W PSU, but 700 W good PSUs are a little expensive. How do I know if a 600 W PSU will be good enough to replace it?
If you need to save money on one buy the one with captive cables rather than the modular version but you will have more work to do keeping those extra cables tidy.
My personal choice would be an ANTEC or Thermaltake model - both have excellent reputation for quality PSUs. Work out what the power requirements are for the components you have or are likely to upgrade to then add about 30% more to ensure you are running the PSU where it is more efficient. -
Quote:Definitely this ^You're much better off calculating exactly the maximum amount of money you need and saving up to buy the stuff all at once.
If you need to make sure you don't get tempted to spend it on something else then open a seperate bank account for it.
That way you earn some interest on the money
The prices of the components probably drop or you get something higher spec.
You don't have loads of bits and pieces lying aroung cluttering the place up when they can't do anything.
Unless of course you are planning on doing some extensive modding of the components you are ordering first in which case make sure you get the rest of the parts arriving close to when you are ready for them.
If you really want to go down the line of buying piecemeal then at least start with enough to get a working system up and running - even if that means you are canibalising an old system for some parts. -
Have you installed anything else between when it workd and when you first noticed it not doing so.
Some mice/Keyboards etc allow you to set up macros on them some of which may be preloaded so if the control software for something like that or possibly the drivers themselves have been updated that could explain it.
Have you tried setting the bind up for a different key combination.
Also bear in mind that resetting binds will revert them all to game defaults and so you would then need to reapply your own ones. -
Quote:Actually, it's calling him a "super-powered revolutionary". Brickstown is separate from that.
I'm not sure what the "ful heroes." part is, but everything else seems correct.
given the capitalisation it could be read as he is super-powered and resides in Revolutionary Brickstown. - Maybe that's the one where the revolving cell doors in the zig have locks -
Quote:All the disadvantages of a laptop without the advantages. What do you think about All-in-One computers? I'm very hesitant about those, but that could be just because I've never owned one before. but they seem like they'd lack the customization capabilities of a desktop.
As for where to buy - most online sellers allow you to customise the build and they then build to order but try to check out customer feedback for them if they are unfamiliar to you - and I don't mean just the ones on their own site. -
Only one I noticed any issue with was the one map where the bottom basement level of the office has most of the lights out and flooded.
The other floors were all well enough lit Given there were no mobs on that floor I assumed it to be WAI. -

Going to make doing the hunts in Numina fun as Mish TP won't work for them.

Quote:I ran the mission just fine in the beta when it was added about two months ago, same character and everything; so I was surprised when it consistently crashed on Live.
It's not the final mission with the army; it's the second one, where you break into an Arachnos base. There's only one NPC helping you that time.
No problems running this on Union last night - your running it didn't coincide with the multiple server problems did it? -

Quote:A Monday after Daylight Savings Time...so double bad. I also witnessed a traffic accident today, Monday after DST is suppose to be one of the worst for accidents, certainly seems true!
Eh - daylight saving is the last Sunday in March/October or is the US applying it on a different date to everywhere else again. -
Quote:sounds like you were logged out for inactivity which happens in mish now as well as in zones. I guess no-one thought to test what happens if you are on that screen.I began Who Will Die: Part 6 on one of my characters on Justice server. I had to go AFK for about 15 minutes with the splash page for the arc still up. When I clicked the Enter Game button afterwards, the client crashed and I was prompted to log what I did.
Now, viewing any of my characters on Character Selection, on any server, the screen says that they are on Map: Unknown. If I attempt to enter the game with them, I am returned to the Server Selection screen with the message 'Cannot find map!'.
Fix this. I want to play. -
Still get the PBAoE and she seems surprised for some reason.
Intend redoing it in Oru for the "refuse Assistance" so I'll probably let her live on that.
I'm also curious if the villain groups sending help are fixed or random - not that the Family or Goldbrickers did a lot. -
Quote:Running the Praetorian Power storyline, for Warrant. On the mission "Save Syfotine Industries", I have cleared the entire map twice and can't see any glowies or unconscious police officers that I can speak to. (Went with the "Send in the PPD" option instead of teaming with Warrant.)
I've burnt my Auto-Complete on Marauder's Save the PPD in the Tunnels mish already, so it looks like I might be waiting for another day or so. But I was curious if anyone else had ran into this bug, or if I was simply overlooking something.
There's (at least) one Praetorian mish where the final objective is to speak to a contact in the zone outside of the mish instance - not sure if this is the one though. -

Quote:So, I read up a bit on UAC, and once I understood it, I configured my game installs so that I do not need admin privs to run my games. This works. So I can click "no" when NCAccess requests admin privs, and everything's fine. Heck, I can replace NCAccess.exe with a no-op that doesn't do anything, and everything's still fine.
However, I still get a dialogue box telling me that "you'll need to accept ncaccess".
Obviously, this is untrue. Untrue things upset me because they are incorrect, but I don't really think I want to get into altering NCLauncher to try to suppress this...
Any suggestions?
Anyone ever have communications with ncsoft which would lead you to believe that I might be able to communicate my question to their support people in under a month? (I mean, such that they respond to the question I asked, rather than some tenuously-related question.)
Read some more.
Basically unless you have disabled UAC or are running using the Administrator account anything which writes to a protected folder such as Program Files you will need to elevate privileges to do so. Even if you are running as admin you still need to accept so it can use the admin token rather than the standard token for that account. -
You are both probably right on this
AMD tend to provide hardware that is much better value providing the same or better performance for a lower price. Currently they aren't really managing this on their mid level cards though.
However their OpenGL driver support is definitely poorer - that's not to say that NVidia hasn't messed up with its drivers in the past - they managed to supply a run of 3 driver releases with an inverted fan profile that resulted in some people burning out their graphics cards.
Some applications are optimised to use NVidia, others to use AMD. Some will run poorly on AMD some won't run at all on NVidia
CoH uses OpenGL graphics and NVidia's support for that is currently better than AMDs.
Whilst several of AMDs drivers have led to stability problems their stable drivers are easily identified on these forums and those perform perfectly well.
Probably not other than on minimal settings - even more so if it was the Mobility version. That card was new in 2006 and is currently listed by AMD as a legacy product. As such their latest drivers may not work with it.
