...and Hurley once again with a Star Wars quote.

That line's a bit of fan service: "Christian Shepherd?!?! Seriously?!?!" We've all been saying that for years!
-
It's not just the show itself that I'll miss, but these threads, as well as show analyses by Doc Jensen at ew.com and Liz and Jen at washingtonpost.com. I prolly spent a half hour to an hour a day reading Lost-related stuff on line. Big holes in my schedule now.

Also cool that the Lost Finale got a special exemption for Emmy consideration.
Normally, when an episode of a TV series is not fully broadcast in Prime Time it's not eligible for Emmy consideration. Although tonight's episode begins in Prime Time, it ends after 11 EDT, so it would not ordinarily be eligible for Emmy consideration, thus the exemption.
But what I wonder is, will tonight's ratings count? In a similar vein, if an episode ends after Prime Time, it's ratings normally don't count. (I remember the Alias episode that followed the Super Bowl; it had the show's highest ratings ever but the ratings didn't count because the episode ended after 11 pm.)
But all that aside, wow whatta ride this has been. I'm looking forward to tonight's episode with a sense of dread. (yes, you read that correctly.) I always approach the final episodes of good series that end on a high note with a sense of melancholy. MASH, Cheers, Friends, ST-TNG, Magnum, BSG. Lost is literally the only TV show I am watching right now, now that it's over I might as well cancel my cable service.
It's been a huge part of my life for the past couple years (I only halfway watched the first two seasons and for personal reasons, skipped 3 and 4 and only picked it up again at the beginning of season 5.) I've really enjoyed all of the WTF!!!!! moments it has had: Michael shooting Ana-Lucia (yay!) and Libby (What! No!) and the first Flash Forward being my favorites.
Looking forward to the end, but very sad it is ending. -
Quote:Wha?!?!?!They aren't missions. You can do them while on teams, while solo, while on task forces or flashbacks.
I did not know this. I always assumed that once you started a TF (or flashback, which use TF rules), you were locked out of any other missions. Never knew that Shiva Strike, etc., weren't really missions.
Thanks. This is gonna come in handy since I solo and flashback a lot. -
Not only did they reduce the size of the font, it seems like they reduced the size of the enhancement itself. iirc, it seems like 6 slots would completely fill up the blue bar, now it seems like there's room for about three or four more slots <insert favorite conspiracy here>.

I'll bring Normanticore, 18 Claws/Regen scrapper, if there is a Team Two.

Mitos horribly brokened.
...and Castle isn't planning on fixing them until next week. Mebbe Sunday May 9 is a better option? -
Quote:Price controls [almost?] always cause shortages. If we allow the market (in the real world too, not just in-game) to determine price, then price will be where the Supply curve meets the Demand curve. However, if we artificially lower the price instead of allowing the market to determine it, we subsequently boost Demand such that the Supply curve can't reach it.Hmm..this goes into another question..which I know is probably stupid but why didn't they control the market? Like placing stuff in it and setting prices and giving payouts? I was wondering that as well? Would that cause to much of certain items?
(The world would be a much better place if it was mandatory to teach the above in grade school.) -
Quote:Oh, hellz yes.My main question is a "ATI Radeon HD3200" is a much better video chip than a "Intel graphics media accelerator 4500MHD" correct?
FWIU, the GMA 4500HD (of which, I am a very regretful owner) isn't really a video card, it's just something integrated into the processor. Horrible for playing games. Horrible for playing even this six year old game. I've been told that even doubling my RAM won't really improve it's performance. (Something about the GMA 4500 HD using GPU vs CPU. Or something.) -

Ummmm. Forgive my ignorance, but is the above in any way, shape, fashion, or form related to an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD?
{Checks packing list...}
Cuz that's what I'm supposed to have...
And I just went to Intel's site (thanks for the link, Texas Justice!) and tried to download the latest driver for the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD and basically got told "Ya ain't got one a dem..."
Fracking Dell! Never buying another!
(btw, is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD better than the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family?) -
Quote:I think it'sCan anyone tell how to get this back to saying just the good 'ol fashioned "Ready"?, instead of all the bubble info... thanks.
This is what the line in the Keybinds folder says:

My apologies if this has been posted before, I searched and found some similar issues, but nothing just like my problem....
While in game, it seems like every time my cursor changes, my picture flickers and seems to reload the current image.
This especially noticeable while in SG base. The picture flickers, most of the base objects disappear and bold red lines are visible for a nanosecond, then everything returns to normal.
When i say "cursor changes" I mean it changes from its default (a white arrow) to something else, such as a blue hand (when interacting with objects in game). Or to the "double up and down arrow with a dot in the middle" (used to stretch windows). This happens even when the only change to the cursor is just a color change (like changing from a white cursor to a red cursor such as when hovering over a Teleporter Base Beacon).

Ok, so I was sitting there with about 1.87 billion inf and had recently sold 5 Gravitational Anchors for around 100 mil apiece, but hadn't gathered the inf yet.
(You can already see where this is going, amirite?)
So I click "Get Influence" on the first Grav Anchor, now I've got 1.97 billion influence.
I quickly click "Get Influence" on the second Grav Anchor, wooot!, I've got exactly 2 billion, I'm a billionaire twice over!
Eager to watch my fortune increase (as all ebil marketeers are), I quickly clicked "Get Influence" on the third Grav Anchor....
Wait, wut? The 2 billion didn't change? How can I have exactly two billion, when I started with 1.87 billion and just got 300 million inf? Damn market lag....
So I clicked "Get Influence" on the fourth Grav Anchor. And watched as another 100 mil disappeared into that great Inf Sink in the Sky.
Then it dawned on me: the Inf cap is only 2 billion?!?!?!? I woulda thought that the inf cap was somthing that ended in "999" like 9,999,999,999. (Like how Vanguard Merits and Skeeball Tickets are capped at 9999).
Damn. Just Damn.
Oh, well. Easy come, easy go. -
As for me, I'm kinda hoping they won't get to pick from the epic pools. The devs have indicated that there will be "something" that non-crossovers get to benefit from that the "side-switchers" won't get to do, I'm hoping that this is one of them.
No, I'm not saying that because I don't plan on side-switching: I do plan on bringing brutes over to blue side to replace some of my tanks. As was mentioned earlier, it wouldn't make sense lorewise for them to have access to the patron pools. -
Put me down for SECOND choice for Mito Taunt Team lead.
I say second choice, because I've only ever been on two Hami Raids. It might be best if you can get someone more experienced to lead that team. But it no one else volunteers, I can lead it. (I was the Mito Taunt Team lead for the Hami Raid that Cremzen ran a few months ago.) Either way, I'll bring a tank to be on the Mito Taunt Team. (It seems like tanks are always in short supply on the few Hami Raids I've been on.)
I won't be able to participate in the EoE farming the night before, BUT, I've got an Inspiration Collector in my base that is nearly full of EoE's so I'll be able to donate more than my fair share.
Looking forward to it! -
Quote:I'm glad you mentioned that, because I did not know that. For some reason, I thought only the proc was unique.Just to clarify, you can only replace one of your CI sets with Hecatombs. You can only slot one of each purple IO in your build, for example if you put a Hecatomb proc in Haymaker you can't put one anywhere else in your build.
All good advice here, thx everyone. I guess I'll put it in KO Blow, skipping the single-aspect Dam and count on the proc and the recharge boost to make up the difference. -
<<==wonders what the "deli" and the "hami" macros do...
-
Level 50 Inv/SS tank. I currently have all my melee attacks six-slotted with Crushing Impact. I plan to begin gradually replacing the CI's with Hecatomb's. I'm wondering if it is feasible to only 5-slot them and am wondering which Hecatomb to skip?
-
...should go into Dull Pain or Health?
It seems to me, they would best be in Health; just want confirmation.
(Level 50 Inv/SS tank. Dull Pain is currently six-slotted with 3 Rech and 3 Heal, Health is three-slotted with 3 Heal.)
