Question: As silly as it sounds, I have never redeemed a costume token yet. So, with that being said, how does one redeem it and how/where do you go to see if you have one available to redeem? Is there something I need to do at the Taylor when I am about to purchase a costume part and want to substitute it with a token? And, with a Costume Token, does this allow for a "full" makeover or only for one body part to be changed? Can Costume Tokens be used to purchase the new "color power spectrum's" for i16? Thanks in advance to those who reply

Question: Other than getting the Ouroboros Transporter by accessing it from another player and then traveling to Ouroboros to get the Transporter, is there any other way be it through a contact or other means that you can obtain one or do you just need to ask someone to plant one down so you can use it?

In addition to Cap au Diable, what other zones or areas villain side can you access the Midnighters Club?

I thought I hit these three all at once here with my Corruptor. I currently have Twlight Grasp and love what it does in solo and especially in team play with the nice healing buffs it gives. I was thinking about also getting Life drain but, it seems it does the same thing but also says that some of the stolen life is transferred to you in the form of hit points.
First, would it be beneficial to me to get Life Drain as another healing buff or would it be a waste of power being that I have Twlight Grasp?
Second, on what I read on Black Hole, it will Phase Shift your foes to make them completely intangible. They cannot be affected or affect those in normal space. So, with that being said, when and where would this power be practical? I was trying to place myself either in group play or solo and was wondering when this power would be beneficial? My thinking is this: in solo play, if you are going against an EB or AV and you are about to run out of end, Black Hole them and wait for your end to come back up. In group play, when your teammates are about to get slaughtered, Black Hole the foes before there is an all out slaughter. Then, regroup and begin again. Would this be the best way to use this power and/or is there any other good suggestions on the best use of this power? Thanks in advance to those who reply. -
Quick question. Currently working on my Corruptor and trying to get my Dark Servant to show up as a Pet on screen. I've done this before with my other toons but for some reason I am having a brain freeze on this. I think I had to go to Options and click on something to allow the pet window to show.
-
Question on this power. In the description it says that the Dark Servant is not a willing servant, and it is only your power that binds it in this realm. Unlike other pets such as my Controllers, it appears that this means the Dark Servant will go willy-nilly on foes and not necessarily attack the foes you are attacking. Case in point when I was going against an EB and my Dark Servant decided to go off the beaten path and fight some minions while I was left there going solo. Would this be the case then on these pets?

Very simple question: who and where is the contact for setting up a Villain Supergroup?

Quote:Thanks for that info. I will send my petition out on this. When this did happen, I had to check all my other toons to make sure they were not affected and luckily they were not. Being with CoX since Jan. 09' I am at my 6 month badge, so to my surprise this morning when I logged on before work, my toon started getting the Veteran Badges up to 30 months worth. I logged off and back on again and they were still there. So, hopefully they can fix this or if not, give me the okay to play my Stalker again which I was getting to enjoy with her wonderful stealth attacks.I suggest writing a petition first, and don't claim any of the extra rewards. Make sure to specifically ask if you can use the character when you send your petition. They originally didn't want people to use the toons so it was easier for them to datamine it. Here is the post (which was also included on the Updater and GMOTD at the time): Issue with Vet Rewards and Trial Accounts (highlighted the important parts)
I was given the green light to use my affected character 2 weeks after I reported it. I probably could have just used it sooner, but I kinda had to hound them about it a little by updating my petition a couple of times, and they finally told me: (highlighted the important part)
As of right now, almost 3 months later, my character STILL has an extra year's worth of veteran badges and powers, and I use that character regularly.
I'm not saying to just go use the character anyway, but give them a reasonable time to check on it first before you do. -
Either on the last issue or the previous issue update, there was some kind of glitch that would accidentally award some toons with extra veteran service badges for time played. There was a posting that said what to do if that happens to one of your toons. I think it said not to play that toon until the problem can be resolved through customer service. Can anyone tell me what that exact posting said again? Thanks for your help.

Currently working on my first Stalker and just love the Assassin's Strike. I cannot believe how powerful this is when used correctly. In its description for damage it is labeled as "Special". This got me thinking because I know that powers are labeled based on their overall potential damage as:
Minor
Moderate
High
Extreme
Superior
Special
I may have left some out and these might not be in the right order based on their overall damage potential. With that being said, based on "overall" damage either melee or ranged attacks, which Alt with which power is considered by most as the most damaging either in group attacks and/or single attacks? I know there will be some bias out there as everyone has their little special toons that can probably knock the socks off other toons, such as my Blaster with her Nova..heh..heh.
Knowing that there will most likely be more than one power, I am looking for some kind of compilation of these deadly kills so when I build my next toon, I can get some kind of idea what they might be capable of in the heat of battle. Thanks in advance to all those who reply. -
So this has been happening a few times lately, when I would come up to a gate such as in the caves or in a building that has a bay door that needs to open, I would try and click on it and it wouldn't move or open. So, as I move forward towards the door, I morph through it magically as if I opened it as I reappear on the other side of the door. This doesn't happen a lot but since the last issue release, it seems it has been happening much more. Anyone else out there experience this?

I was thinking about this last night as I awoke from a bad dream. What if it was possible to have access to your other toons as pets to help you out in battle? It would go something like this:
Every toon would have ability to access their other "created" toons that they have on the server at will, like pets. These toons will have the full access to their power sets as they would normally have when being played. You would only be allowed to have 7 toons as pets for a 8 person team. Each toon will only be active for only 4 to 5 minutes with a long recharge. Each toon you access will "auto level " to your level so your level 50 Blaster will drop down to your level unless you are a level 50. You would only be able to access one type of Alt. per pet,..e.g. one Blaster, one Tanker, one Stalker, etc. This would eliminate the crazy potential for an all Master Mind team which would tilt the dominance in the players favor. You can only access these pets while playing solo. Again, to eliminate the chaos that would ensue with toons running rampant.
So what do you guys think? I know some might say this would "kill" team play since this would only be available in solo play. Others might think this would upset the continuity of the game and the way it is played. I don't know, but it was just a thought that I had to put down on this thread to start up a conversation. Any other ideas that are geared towards this, please feel free to add to this thread. -
I think I brought this up long ago in one of my threads but I'll mention it again since I ran into this last night and when I logged on this morning.
I was invited to a team last night while I was level 8 with my Stalker. During that time I had a few mish'es that were set at around my level. So, while I was teamed, I jumped up six levels to level 14. After my team dispelled, I decided to do my Story Arc and it was still set at level 8. So, I plowed through them like butter with really no XP. As of this morning I still have a few more mish'es before the arc is complete, all of them at level 8. I beefed up my difficulty to compensate for this but the mish'es were still too low.
So, this brings me to my next question. Why are some mish'es able to "auto level" you up while some story arcs will not "auto level" with you? Does this have anything to do with Ouroboros and the ability to do the "back in time" mish'es? So, if you missed an arc and wanted to go back and play it then you could? This still doesn't explain why story arc's will not auto level you.
My guess is the NPC's has a certain cap level and cannot exceed that after certain levels so thus the level of the mish's cannot change, I am not sure? Not sure if any of the new additions in i16 are going to help this issue? I know one that will allow you to custom set the difficulty of the mish'es to make it more of a challenge so, maybe this might be the answer, I do not know? -
First time with a new Stalker and getting used to these powers. One in particular is the Assassin's Strike. The first thing I noticed with this power was the major delay before it would kick in. Now, from what I gathered, the delay should be no big thing as you will normally be in "Hide" mode so no one can knock you out before it kicks in but for the times when you are seen, then it can be interrupted and becomes useless it seems.
So, with that being said, what is the best way to use this power?
Me thinks it could be used something like this:
When on team play and going up against a group with a Boss. Have the Stalker sneak up on the Boss in Hide mode and go to town with the AS. "Boom", then the rest of the team comes in to take out the group. When in solo play and going up against a Boss, rinse and repeat as same in team play. I cannot think of any other way to use this power because once you use it, you will be seen and thus it doesn't reactivate fast enough without getting interrupted. Any other suggestions out there would be helpful. -
Question: Where in the early stages is the contact or mish for the Jet/Rocket Pack? I am currently at level 10 and I already have the Jump Pack but would really like the Jet/Rocket Pack before I can get my flight power at I believe level 16. It seems every time on my past villain builds when I already have my flight power past level 16 I get the mish for the Jet/Rocket Pack, thus, I can never really use it since I have my flight power. So having this now at level 10 would be ideal. Thanks in advance to those who reply

Quote:So, to make this simple, what would be the best to combine with my "Hide" to max it out, "Stealth" or "Superior Invisibility"? I appreciate the nice numbers but not sure what you mean when you say 150' unless you mean 150%? I would also want to know where to view that stat 150' to know when I am maxed out on Hide? Would it be in the power section when it breaks down the percentages for each power set or would it be found somewhere else? Thanks muchHide will give you 150' of PvE stealth, once you level to the point where you're no longer capped at less than that (level 15 iirc). At 150' of stealth, you're invisible to any mob in the game that doesn't completely ignore stealth altogether (Rikti Drones and Knives of Artemis are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head). Snipers, with the highest aggro range/perception in the game, have 149' of perception - you can stand right next to one and they'll never see you coming until you hit them.
The stacking helps in PvP, where you can reach the stealth cap with Hide, Stealth, and a Stealth IO, meaning most ATs (VEATs being the exception) can only see you within 10'. Just be careful of those autohit powers that cancel stealth. -
Having just finished my level 50 Widow, I wanted to try out a Stalker next as I did enjoy the melee type deadly attacks that my Widow gave me. So, I am starting with Energy Melee as my primary power set and for my secondary, went with Super Reflexes.
So my first question: As a Stalker you get "Hide" and based on the description it gives, it says "Unlike most stealth powers, Hide can be used at the same time as other Concealment powers, giving you even greater stealth capability." I was testing this out with just the "Hide" on and no one can see me and this was standing next to a 3+ higher level villain. Based on what I read in these forums, you might get seen if standing next to a AV or much higher level Boss but not sure about this?
So, with that being said, is there some kind of "scale" that will show you that if you combined your "Hide" with lets say "Stealth", it would give you maximum 95% invisibility and if you did "Hide" + "Superior Invisibility" would give you 100% invisibility to not be seen by anyone. Based on what I read, it seems this was nerfed awhile ago on previous issues to make it impossible to become completely invisible regardless of villain level?
And my second question: What would be the best Alt to compare a Stalker to? I've also read in these forums that a Scrapper is about the closest to this build. Thanks in advance to those that reply -
Well I was able to pick-up a power at level 49. I got my Metal Training back and wondered how in the heck I could have lived without it being that with those melee attacks, I needed as much speed as possible to take those bosses down. This being my first Widow, I can say it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be going in and doing some big time damage on these bosses and such. Now, I need to build a Bane and see how that goes. Wish me luck. : )
-
So I just completed the Arbitor Rein Arc and got my respec. In doing so, I picked up the Mace Mastery set. In duplicating pretty much what I had before, I inadvertently left out Mental Training. Not being able to plow through my melee attacks as fast has caught me off guard a few times. Now, I am at level 48 with two to go. I think I can still pick this up at 50. With that being said, any word that we will get a free respec for i16?
-
So I was anxious to get to level 35 with my Arachnos Widow to pick-up Elude. Now, hovering at level 47, I cannot tell you how much I love this power. Of course with the good comes the drawback as when this power wears off, you're left standing there empty of all end! I can live with that as I just plan my major "Boss" battles around my Eludes recharging schedule. I currently have it four slotted with "Increase Attack Rate" enhancements and have my Hasten four slotted with the same. With that being said, it still says recharge time is around 8 minutes. It does seem to come back faster so I don't think that is factoring in any additional bonus recharge time with Hasten? Also, I believe the total time Elude can be active is 3 minutes then it shuts down like a over heated nuclear reactor.
I have yet to go straight up against an AV. Elites no problem so now I am starting to feel confident and a little cocky about what this power can do so bring on the AV's!! Any other suggestions or opinions out there are welcome regarding this subject. Thanks! -
So just did a Rikti Raid tonight.
First question: When doing these raids we took down the pylons and the shields dropped. Then everyone is fighting on top the saucer and then people are planting bombs. We then move to the center of the saucer and fight and die some more. With that being said, is there an ultimate objective in this or can there be an ultimate objective such as blowing up the ship or planting a certain number of bombs or is there no ultimate win and you just get Vanguard Merits? And as for these bombs, who can plant them or how can you plant them? Is there a guide for these kinds of raids to walk you through?
Second question: What can Vanguard Merits get me? It seems you cannot redeem for enhancements or can you maybe at Wentworths? Again would paragonwiki mention anything on this? Thanks in advance to all who replied. -

Quick question. I purposely slotted my Widow to get Stamina under the Fitness Pool Powers. I am currently at level 41 and have yet to get the Stamina option available. So, is there a certain level that this becomes available or is this power not available for Widows?
-
So every time I go up against the Carnie's and kill the females, they give out a scream and sometimes a white/blueish puddle appears below their feet right before they die. I do know that if you are standing too close to them that this white/blueish aura seems to suck some end out of you. I tried finding more info on this but was looking for more background on the screams and end sucking they give out before they die. I know there has to be a beginning story with this.

Since last weekends Rikti Raids, I had some questions regarding these.
First, when their ships drop those bombs that land on the ground and are "auto repairing" themselves, I assume you can destroy them before they blow, and if so, how do you know when they will blow as I noticed no type of timers on them? I was involved in a few mishaps when they went off and I was about 15 stories up over the bomb and got whacked hard and died!
Second, can one take their ships down and what would it take to do so? I know if you get too close to them, you get zapped big time. Does this involve getting a large group together, such as when you go up against a Giant Monster?
Third, when large groups of Rikti spawn on the ground along with those mega large drones and open a continuous porthole barrage assault, how is this determined? Is it based on where large groups of hero/villians are congregating or are there central points on the map where they will always spawn,.i.e. by areas of constant traffic flow such as Atlas Park below the main big globe? I ask this question as I was standing alone and Rikti Portholes started to open up around me so not sure if the coding is set up like the random Zombie attacks where they come out of the ground or does it know if someone is standing there and it activates such an attack?
And finally, fourth what kind, if any, of badge do you get for killing Rikti during these raids? I know in the Zombie raids you get badges but not sure about the Rikti raids?
