That's going to be a bit problematic if CD is supposed to be a source of sustainability.

Something to test in beta, I suppose.
From an in-universe/"story"/whatever-you-want-to-call it perspective, that makes sense to me--having to be un-stealthed to lead an NPC out, I mean. Then again, with some exceptions (Praetorian missions spring to mind), by the time you're leading an NPC out you've already cleared the building/area of targets, and can feel relatively safe about doing so.

But yes, I see your point--adding the Downtime Minimizer effect to a +stealth power when, I think, none of the other ones do that seems like an odd choice. But maybe that's exactly why Arbiter Hawk chose it. Who knows?

The Syndicate seem to use standard PC primary sets, so they wouldnt add anything new to the game.
Or maybe one based on the Resistance heavy gun dudes--high-recharge, high-damage, some smallish inherent AoE, like a walking artillery battery for the primary.

If the devs were interested in a Resistance EAT, though, I think they'd have to make up a defensive secondary, since there doesn't seem to be one that the critters actually use. Maybe something akin to Willpower secondary but with glaring differences (e.g., no fast healing/quick recovery but keep the high pain tolerance with something like a 12.5% hp buff).

I cannot, which is why I started this; on the other hand, I also wasn't sure if I wasn't *supposed* to, or if something wasn't right. But everyone seems to have cleared that up, so thanks.

Hello, forums. It's been a while.

My search-fu may have not been good enough, but I could not find an existing answer to this question, so here goes:

As all epic archetypes are supposed to "unlock" at 20 now instead of 50, should I find it strange that my 26 stalker did not receive the appropriate message? Or do red-side archetypes that start life in Praetoria ignore that unlock?

So I took my nuke at 32 (Nova) and loved it ever since...but I had also eagerly anticipated getting it. Hooray for searching Youtube for videos of it in action!

Personally, I rarely use it while solo; I play slow and on heroic, so I hardly ever have enough huge groups to explode. The "mini-nuke" effect of Energy Torrent/Explosive Blast works just fine.

On teams...especially big 8-man teams...it's crazy fun. Some of my favorite moments were watching a tanker herd Freakshow mooks by the dozen to in front of a collapsed dumpster in one of the Portal maps, then jump in and use Nova (after Aim and Build Up, of course). I never even bothered with inspirations, because the rest of the team obliterated the remaining spawn before the crash effect wore off...and with Stamina working nicely I had recovered quite enough endurance to explode again by the time we reached the next group.

So, to the OP...Nukes are wonderful ways to be endlessly entertained in spite of their long recharges (even on crash-less powers like Rain of Arrows). Maybe if you're not thrilled with it you don't need to take it right away at 32...but I would suggest you take it at some point (or take advantage of the dual build option, if you decide against it for your "main").
