  1. Doubt we will. NPC costume bits filtering to us is one thing, but Signature NPCs costume bits I'd think are just that....signature.

I haven't come across any TPB-type collections, or outright graphic novels on there. But you won't have the hd crash costing you your collection with them, since your account keeps track of what you've purchased, a-la Steam. Haven't tried the Marvel or DC versions yet.

Of course you don't. Remember what happened with the "X-Men" (in quotes because they're not really the X-Men) movies? They tried to shoehorn the Dark Phoenix saga (arguably one of the biggest impacts on the team in it's history) in as a friggin side-plot in *one* movie. It's easily a trilogy on it's own.

All I can say is let that whole faction fade away and stop adding stuff relating to the 5th et al. Enough already.
Cant have that. Nazi's (and their look-alikes) are too much fun to stomp on, and too much of a staple of the source. Which explains why the videogame representations of WWII have lasted at least 3 times as long as the US's involvement in the real WWII. They're pretty much the only real world group that no-one is gonna complain about negative depictions thereof

And besides, I've at least 2 characters who exist solely for Nazi (neo, look-alike, fascist, whatever) stomping. Any other good they do is purely incidental

I've got the Comixology app, and they've got all of the Blackest Night books (the main series, dunno about the legions of tie-ins) , and are up to issue 13, I think, of Brightest Day. Only problem, is that you have to buy them individually at 2 bucks a pop...although I think Blackest Night #0 was free. But, once purchased, your account on the site on your PC and any devices you may have the app on will sync up, so you can read em where ever. Only downside (YMMV) is that they don't have anything from Marvel.

Well, you never leave your named henchmen, at least. Faceless goons can stay, as they're often instrumental in the hero's escape.
  10. Not for the same reason, but have to agree with GG on that point. The bad guy seeming to have an obvious flaw in their master plan is a trope at this point. I say seeming because we haven't gotten the whole story in this case. He still could have another trick up his well-tailored sleeves. Of course, we'll have to get captured with no apparent chance of escape before he'll tell us...

I thought everyone knew that Nolan ripped the main story line and concept of Inception almost directly from a Scrooge MacDuck comic.

Also, it's hilarious to me that a "bad" movie has inspired 9 pages of discussion.
For the record, I enjoyed the movie.

Try going back to dialup for a bit. Feel a bit of the pain.
Nope . One of the benefits of working for a cable company is free internet when you live in an area they service

Eh, with the changes to defiance, (and maybe some judicious IO usage) the mezzing isn't too bad.

DSL is barely a step up from dialup in terms of speed and bandwidth. There's only so much you can do with twisted-pair copper wires.

One thing folks seem to be forgetting, is that an ISP's network doesn't simply continue working on it's own. You have to pay people to maintain it. I work as an Outside Plant Technician for a cable company. I'm one of about 130 people (including the service techs that visit your house when there's a problem and the Inside Plant guys that maintain the lasers for the fiber optic distribution from the hub sites) and we only cover a couple of counties in Jersey.

We're continually upgrading our equipment (amplifiers, nodes, cables as needed, etc) and none of that stuff is cheap, either. The amps we use run about a grand a pop, the fiber optic nodes that translate the light into an RF signal are at least double. Hell, the cable itself is damn expensive. My department always has 3 guys on-call for a week at a time, and we have to have any outage (video or online) back on within 90 mins of being notified.

Point being, you're not just paying for the access to the internet. You're also paying the people that maintain it (Did you know that a simple loose connection could interfere with aircraft, or emergency responders communication, with potentially disastrous results?) and the equipment that makes it work.

Well, that outcome wasn't at all what Recluse had planned, and is why he decides not to mess with the PC any further.

    Grrr.
Just skimming the Marvel wiki and regular wiki and there's no specific mention of them being aliens or gods (worshiped as gods isn't the same as being one), simply extradimensional lifeforms. They mention the Ultimates versions specifically being aliens. However, Marvel 616's Asgardians are lacking the one trait that I personally would consider imperative to claiming godhood.

They're not immortal. Though *extremely* long-lived, they will die of age given enough time, unlike Marvel's Olympians.
  18. I generally only played my mains anyway, but come i20, shards will drop while exemped, so that'll lessen the pressure other seem to be feeling to only run the high end stuff.
  19. All I'm getting from the trailer is "oooh...that's the kind of visuals imax is made for". They drop the barest hints of plot, but I don't really go to the theatre for plot movies, unless it something that's looking to be phenomenal, or from one of a handful of directors. I work for the cable company so I can watch "don't need a big screen, and the story looks to be meh" movies at home for free soon enough.

    Um...they're 1 of 10 slots. They're not *the* reward, they're *a* reward.

As with every new challenge in the game. We fail it a few times, figure it out, then crush it. And by failing these trials, we also have the benefit of gaining power, so its not just a matter of learning a strategy. EG is right here...my level shifted crab is an absolute *monster* when running tips now.
  22. Except Cole isn't the equivalent of a "suddenly overpowered Doc Ock". At his base level he's presented as the heaviest hitter on his planet, and his crew (like their primal counterparts) has been consistently presented as a Justice League/Avengers analogue.

By the way, Spidey was involved in the fight against Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet....he's even on the cover of the TPB
