Yeah. Because after containment, Controllers took all our jobs away. Now Corruptors are going to do the same with their 25% more damage and 25% weaker buffs and FIRE.

What's to get?
1) You decide to turn inf into prestige.
2) You invite me to your SG.
3) You turn, say, 50 million inf into prestige at the registrar.
4) I give you 50 million inf.
5) You turn my 50 million inf into prestige.
6) I leave your SG.

I remember a forumite who'd been in beta saying "See that? on the loading screen? that's me!" I don't remember WHO on the loading screen, I don't remember the forumite... but it's a rumor and dammit, can't stop the signal.

If anyone is turning Inf into Prestige I will match that inf. I know, I'm turning a 500:1 ratio into a 250:1 ratio, still not necessarily a good deal.

Limitations:

No more than 100 million at a time. (Your 100 million becomes 400K prestige. )
I may run out of money or get bored at any time. I expect to do this for about a billion inf.
I probably need advance notice to get the money where it need to be.

CoX still has a few little memory leaks server-side, I think. The servers used to go down EVERY morning at 9 AM, and they still reserve the right to bring them down on any given morning.

I think they do Monday and Friday because there's a lot more gameplay from Friday morning through Sunday night than there is the rest of the week.

If you were going to go Offender, there's a reason Jock Tamson called his Rad/Sonic guide "Best at everything".

If you were going Brute, I have a Fire/Willpower at about level 29 that's an absolute monster and always has been. The only team problem I've found is that I end up on point, on a team 2 levels higher than me, with no buffs and no support, and I die, and when I get up I have no Fury bar.

For quick-starting Scrappers ... Fire/Regen? I don't play Scraps much any more because I'm a slave to the big orange numbers.

To find out if Blasters are the thing for you: Eight levels of Fire/Energy.
L1: Fire Bolt.
L2: Fireball.
L4: Energy Punch.
L6: Build Up.
L8: Fire Breath.

Now go to Perez Park, target a Hellion in the back of the group, hit Build Up and burn down, like, eight or ten hellions at one time. You will have one of two responses:

1) Man, I took a lot of damage! I'm too squishy! Medic!
2) Man, I did a lot of damage! That was great!

Lots of "local recharge" can be had.

As a player, I'd LOVE a third good, damaging cone. Which kinda suggests that a dev might consider it over the top.

As far as tier 8, Castle said something like (paraphrased) "If a set gets strong too early, that's just a problem until people catch up. If it gets disproportionately strong in the lategame, it's overpowered forever."

Or want to buy it for cheaper and use it.

Look at the prices for level 50 LoTGs. And people buy FIVE of those.

Zummy: You have like eight slots per server. You don't have to destroy your old characters to "reroll".

( I did know people back in, like, issue 3 who bankrupted themselves at Icon. Back then, of course, it took MONTHS to get to level 50. )

I have yet to see how I gave them "bad" help.

I at least showed them the forums. Heck, I didn't discover them a good 3 years after I started playing. Before that, I just randomly clicked powers that I thought were cool.

I learned alot about the game after I found them.

(For the new guys: "AV" is an Archvillain. At the highest difficulty level, you can run into these guys solo. At lower difficulties they show up as Elite Bosses, with about 1/4 the hit points.)

Buying one lottery ticket has an entertainment benefit, it's true. I'm not sure that $20 a month (for instance) has less utility than the 20/1,000,000 chance at $500K or whatever the numbers are. I tend to think it has MORE utility.

... and I am the guy who didn't contribute to the office pool, then went around with my $5 on monday going "I've still got mine, how bout you?"
