Thank you soooooooo much.
I can't believe you made it work for people like me, but also took the time to send me a PM about it... nice.
5 stars for this thread.

Gotta love how VB takes a 80K file and wraps it in 2MB of other stuff -
Nah, the pet nerf isn't the problem, at least for me. I'm ok with the pet nerf. I just think there's got to be some way of producing the same effect that they did without increasing recharge times on everything.
That seems to be their solution to everything balance wise, which in turn increases the pressure for people to take hasten, which in turn causes more powers to be rebalanced with hasten in mind, and the circle begins again -

So we have someone reporting something that someone they know posted on a website after attending a conference.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was later confirmed by the guy who heard it.
Linked for your convenience.

Lord recluse also responded to the post without denying anything. I'd call that confirmationIf any of this wasn't true, I'd imagine they'd want to put out the firestorm it created.

Well, the VB runtime that is included with windows varries. Wanted to make sure you weren't trying to run it on windows 95
-
Just curious, what version of windows are you running?

I see. Somewhat misleading since the quote starts with "Other news from GenCon" implying that there's more...

The rest was the CoV release date, which was posted in the private section of the forums. Thats pretty much all we have. -
I reallly reeeeally wish people would stop assuming that just because someone disagrees with their position on I5, that they haven't been on the test server. Because despite what you think, it is possible to test the I5 changes and be critical of them.
Not just because people arent godlike anymore, but because of the degree and/or methods which were chosen to reduce our power.
Point is, not everybody is "whining like little girls".
Oh, yeah, telling people they suck is a really bad way of making a point. -
He's using a code block, it doesn't word wrap like the rest of the forum does.
And very niceI never thought to include all of the teleports in the same bind before, although looking at it now, that'll work perfectly
one minor point though, vis_scale is actually the same thing as the world detail slider in the options, so if you have that set to anything other than 100%, by default, you need to adjust the value in the reset and teleport_on files. -

I5 update coming soon I hope?
[/ QUOTE ]
He hasn't posted since January. Somehow I seriously doubt that an I5 update is coming -

aAnd anyway, continual modding leads to some really interesting results. Incorporation is what I'm thinking of. For example, CS started as just a mod to halflife (if I'm remembering correctly, it's been ages) And then valve basically took the idea, since it was not protected and it was partly theirs to begin with.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just a side note...Valve actually hired the guys who made CS and now they're still making the mod...they're just doing it in house and getting paid for it. -
Unless your pets can slow. The walls can be slowed, easily
Both times I've done the trial with my ice controllers, the walls only ever had one spawn before we took them down.

I going for the Psionic Mastery since most of the attacks after Lv 40 are psionic...just wanted to share that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just felt the need to point out that most attacks aren't psi 40+ unless you're going to the shadow shard 100% of the time. The only real psi attacks are certain carnies and the rikti, plus some AVs. The rest are regular, run of the mill damage types. -
I always pick Galaxy. When running to/from missions in galaxy city, there's less chance that you're going to have to find some way to get around a large wall that has been placed in your path in a warehouse district. Galaxy is more "flat" than Atlas is, making it easier to travel around pre-travel power.
That and galaxy is less populated with idiots on broadcast
Atlas is more impressive visually though, but now galaxy has the arena right there when you log in for the first time, which is also an impressive building. -

Congrats on the promotion Vyv. We'll miss you around here

Well, if the Kill Skuls badge is 500 skulls, look at the picture. There is another "Kill skulls to unlock this badge" bar above the Kill Skuls badge. And it's not even halfway there.
What badge is THAT?
[/ QUOTE ]
That's your Kill 50 Bone Daddy badge -
CuppaJo is going to kill me for doing this but...with a new issue comes a new guide update
Frost's Ice/Empathy Controller Guide Version 2.0 - Now with Issue 4 goodness! -

Frostbite is not quite rewarding enough, plus the immobilization seems to counter some of the knockdown that makes that IS+FR combo so effective.
[/ QUOTE ]
Immobilization grants the affected mobs a 10 second period of resistance to knockdown. Its usually not such a good idea to immobilze stuff on ice slicks or in freezing rain -
Happy Anniversery everyone!
A big heartfelt thanks go out to the devs who have made my last 11 months in this game an extremely enjoyable experieince.
I've made a ton of friends, met a bunch of people, and had a lot of fun with this game and I can't wait to see where it goes in the future -
Yes, you'll hold the other one untill you actually use it. Just think of earning a respec like throwing somthing in a bucket. If you take one thing out of the bucket, all the other stuff that was in there is still in it.
Ok, not the best analogy, but its the best I can come up with right now -
I've just posted a newly updated version of my Ice/Empathy guide.
