  1. Male widows are scary enough. They'd be even scarier with buttcapes...

/em bows down before Sexy Jay
  2. Emma frost you say?

    Excellent....
  3. It's a very neat costume Soul Train. Really hard to use the monster parts and still come up with something that doesn't look...oddly grotesque. Really like that costume.

And Wassy's sketch came out excellently. She looks very playful.
  4. Painter does seem to do a really good job of replicating traditional mediums like that.

    That's a very nice piece.

    Sorry?

It's a song (called Still Alive) that got popularized on the internet. It was attached to Valve's game Portal.

SPOILER ALERT (for those who haven't played Portal yet): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RthZgszykLs

So while considering coming back into playing CoH, I'm eyeing the mac version... everything I have plays better on my cute lil Mac...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I watched Frost have all sorts of "fun" dealing with the Mac client one night and figured it wasn't worth the trouble. I'll keep using Boot Camp ^.^

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeaaah.. Unless your PC is horrible, I'd say keep running on your PC.

And if you have bootcamp on a Mac laptop..keep running bootcamp. The OS X version is a little slower and rough around the edges right now...

EDIT: Oh, and you don't need to buy anything to switch to the OS X version. You can just download the dmg client (ftp://client.coh.com/US/MAC_CoH_Installer_US.dmg )
  8. She came out excellently. This is one of my favorites of your digital pieces. Tons of emotion in her face, set against the emptiness of space, with the highlights from the sun rising above earth...It's very epic looking and yet sad at the same time. Really really nice work.
  9. I agree, really nice. I like how the lighting effects and such turned out a lot. The lighting really makes the scene.

Especially the highlights on the demon standing in the foreground.
  10. Thanks guys.

And yes, I am aware that technically 25 isn't "old" but...it's old enough where I'm looking at the kids that are growing up now and having no idea why they do the things they do...

Also, last night I discovered that the music I grew up listening to is starting to make it's way onto Time Life music compilation CDs...That's like...one step away from an oldies station!
  11. Thanks guys!

Yeah, I'm 25....quarter of a century old. There was much teasing.

Glad you still like the guide. Also glad there hasn't been many changes to Ice since I did my last version

But keeping my good name, so to speak, was the most important to me, so I made sure everyone still got the same level of service and made a mental note that doing that much with schoolwork was a BAD idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And so help me, if you ever run one of those again during the school semester I will shut your website down! (For anyone confused...I'm the guy who keeps her site working)

To the original question, from the perspective of somebody who receives art, I don't really care how long it takes to do it. I want a good quality piece and if that takes a couple weeks or a couple months (couple years in this medium is a little unreasonable I must admit), then I'll gladly wait.

The key is communication. I'd want to know how things are going and that the piece is generally being worked on.

Communication solves an awful lot of problems.
  13. Thankfully Bob was not an OS.

Just to chime in, I have Windows 7 running in Boot Camp on my Macbook Pro and everything is working perfectly.

I think I quite like windows 7. It got rid of some of the annoying vista things I didn't like. It's also very snappy which, considering it's a Beta, is very impressive.
  14. Leopard is a requirement, but people have gotten it working on Tiger. It's not supported though, so if it doesn't work...don't be surprised.
  15. No, that FTP has the live client. It's named the same, but it works on live. It's how I downloaded it. They updated the client on the 6th of January to support the live servers.

The beta client is now the test server client.
  16. The point is, Boot Camp requires a licensed copy of windows and a lot of hard drive space. The native client does not.
  17. I think the title of the story is about all you really need to know anyway

I've got the print coming of my Dark Frost piece probably at the beginning of next week. I really can't wait to see what she looks like on paper. I think she'll make the transition very well.
  18. You have no idea how hard it was to crop her to 80x80...

We need the new forum software. Soon.
  19. It's absolutely awesome! Probably shouldn't say too much here, for fear of potential mod smackage except that I'm extremely happy with how my piece turned out.

    Go look at it!

    Mac Open Beta

Hmm... I keep getting incorrect login or password errors when I try to login. I've changed my password a few times and my account says it is ready to play.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It may take 24-48 hours for an account change to make it's way over to the training room. Give it a day or two and see if you can login.
  21. Ask activist about nearest office supply store
  22. I can neither confirm or deny that there might be a little slice of awesomeness on Wassy's deviant art page. Possibly.

I can also neither confirm or deny that I am extremely happy with the progress on said slice of awesomeness...if such a thing were to exist at all.

The only thing i would like to know is whyis it free to Mac users and probably on sale to the PC? Just to be clear but no i dont mind paying the money. Just if you are then you sould sell it to both or give it free to both.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They are not free to mac users.

If you have a Mac, you will be able to download the client for free. This client does not include the costume items.

The boxed version is intended for new players who are browsing around a retail store. The extra stuff is a bonus to get them to pick up the box.

Both mac and PC players who don't buy the box are going to have to pay money for the new stuff.

    MMOART: Tanks

Tanks really needs to take better care of her costume. It seems to be in a state of disrepair quite often...

Very nice piece. As mentioned, the little things like the ripping of the stockings really make a big difference.
