Basically, the game uses it's own built in version of the PhysX library. This version is OLD and doesn't support the new nvidia cards. It's not user replacable...so as far as I know, you're out of luck.

I love seeing WIP snapshots on things.

As somebody who doesn't really have any drawing abilities to speak of, the process of how things get done is almost as interesting to me as the finished piece.

Tags are great. If there's a central person giving them out. As soon as you toss it open to the general public an expect them to do the cataloging for you, the system quickly breaks down.

So yeah, they're better off ignored unless you're going for a joke-y type thing.

You're better off just struggling through and then responding to the e-mail that gets sent to you regardig your petition after with any complaints about service you might have.

Honestly it makes more sense when you consider you can purchase game codes from the store too. So say you're a person interested in selling influence/infamy. You don't want to pay for your account as that eats into profits and it'll probably get banned anyway. So you steal somebody's credit card number.

Prior to this feature you could just hammer away and sign up for many, many, many accounts using the same stolen credit card. But with the current system, you're limited to one account per 24 hours.

It cuts down somewhat on the liability of NCSoft when, inevitably, the credit card companies stop payment on that purchase and it cuts down somewhat on the number of RMT accounts that make it through into the game.

For security purposes you can only make one store purchase per day (per credit card I think).

You just need to wait 24 hours from the time you purchased the first booster pack and then you can purchase the second.

It's annoying...I know...but it is what it is.

It would be cool to have a different starting area for epic ATs to reflect their particular unique qualities. But it probably won't happen.

On the list of changes that will make huge impacts on gameplay for the majority of users, creating a whole new tutorial zone for a fraction of the game population who get to 50 and roll up an epic AT and who shoul already know the game to begin with...probably doesn't even make the list.

Just as another datapoint, I'm running windows 7 RC through Boot Camp (unsupported) on my first gen MacBook Pro (1.83ghz core duo, 2GB ram, 128MB ATI X1600 Mobility) and it works great. Seems to run a tad better than it did under XP actually.

And if any setup is probably going to fail...it's mine. Bootcamp doesn't really officially support windows 7 quite yet, I had to screw around with the registry to get it to detect the OS as Vista in order to get the drivers installed.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm also running hacked ATI drivers for the X1600 because the latest ones for bootcamp are like 2 years old and you have to tweak the driver files to get the normal ATI drivers to install with a laptop GPU

They'll do an open beta. Open beta is basically a server stress test. You can't test how a real server will react with a small closed beta pool of players.

The test server is going to be closed for general usage due to the issue 16 closed beta. It'll probably be closed for the next couple weeks.

You basically need to track down what the guide is in the guides forum manually.

Typically you can find it by getting the guide name, going to the search deal and picking "advanced search", putting the guide name in for the search terms and telling it to only search the player guides forum.

There's no way to easily fix it as all the thread IDs got changed when they did the migration

Historically speaking...it's probably at least a month away.

I believe it usually goes 2-3 weeks of closed beta and 1-2 weeks open, and then live.

I think this is an unfortunate side effect of the forum migration.

It will only apply to one account and you chose which account when you buy the booster.
