Thanks guys! Although I was kinda hoping it would slip by unnoticed

The forums are about to get that much more sane.
Good to hear you're still be with us in spirit, if not presence. -
Wow. Haven't heard that particular song in quite a while. and now it's stuck in my head...Dah!
Love this piece. My favorite part is probably the exhausted looking bird holding the bucket of water. Followed by the unionizing mouse. -

Still trying to work up a concept over here... You people are show offs!
(great entries so far) -
Make sure your friend has updated video card drivers. You shouldn't need to use -compatiblecursors anymore.

I'm imagining the lawsuits now...

I offer up Ytse. My Kin/Sonic defender
(Note, it might be hard to tell in the sceenshot, but the purple of her costume and her cape gradually brightens as you move towards the bottom of the skirt/cape)
The short version of her background is as follows:
Ytse (her real name is Anna)'s father was a scientist working for one of the many labs that scatters the landscape of Paragon City. He thought he was working for an independent medical research corporation, but unknown to him, the lab was a front for Crey Industries researching cloning technology in use with their Paragon Protector program.
Over the years, her father began to piece together bits and pieces of information, eventually discovering the true intent of his research. Appalled at what they were using his work for, he attempted to leave the lab, only to find out the identity of his employers. He knew too much to let go and was too useful to kill, so Crey management arranged for him to disappear into one of their top secret high security research facilities. They also arranged to kidnap Anna to hold her as collateral for his good behavior.
Unwilling to let a resource go to waste, they used Anna as a test subject for various bits of technology they were developing. Chiefly they implanted an experimental weapons grade sonic amplifier in her throat, along with several other implants giving her fine control of the kinetic energy of objects around her. (She can also teleport objects and herself)
The implants were deactivated when she wasn't being actively tested to prevent her escape, but one day after testing this deactivation failed due to a glitch in the system. She managed to escape the Crey but was unable to find her father or any mention of him in the lab's computer system.
She believes her father is still alive, hidden somewhere by the Crey and she has dedicated the rest of her life to finding him. While she's not opposed to helping others in need, her true focus is to oppose to everything that Crey stands for. In fact, when facing the Crey she can exhibit a single-minded ruthlessness (born from her anger at what they did to her father and the experiments she was a part of) that can sometimes get her into trouble.
This is part of the reason why she seeks out other like minded individuals to assist her in her fight and keep her grounded. The other being that she knows she can't find her father without help. This is conceivably how she ran into Bayani. -
They had to actually alter the character transfer code in order to do the free transfer (If you'll notice you can't actually buy a character transfer at the moment).
So once the offer is ended they'll flip it back to the old way and, presumably you'll lose any character transfer tokens you had remaining. -
If I recall correctly, +dmg IO set bonuses (and set bonuses in general) only apply to you directly and don't get transfered over to powers used by pets.

If Javascript wasn't enabled you'd know about it probably. Was just a long shot.
Like I said earlier, anybody else seeing what LD is seeing? I think I need some more info to figure out what's going on. -
Hrrrrrm. That's strange, I'm not seeing any of that at all... You have javascript enabled yes?
-
That's the same version I'm using for testing. Is this on a work computer? They may have some policy stuff in place on IE which might screw things up.
Not entirely sure what your issue is if you're running IE 8... Anyone else seeing the same thing LD is?
additional edit here: LD, can you get to http://fartcomp2010.wassyart.com/ima.../23_thumb2.jpg directly in IE? That's the image it's trying to load. -
Quote:Which version of IE?Guess everyone uses Firefox? I only see a bunch of red X's in IE, but everything's fine in Firefox.
EDIT: Looks fine to me in IE 7 and IE 8. I don't have a version of IE6 to test with at the moment, but I've kinda stopped paying attention to IE 6 when I'm coding stuff up as it's use is declining rapidly (thankfully) -
Quote:Leveling up a second build is different from respeccing an existing build. If you are just /respecing you pick powers straight 1-50. If you are leveling up a second build it treats it as if you are actually leveling, therefore you need to do the 1-24 -> Respec -> 24+ system.Brain... Hurts...
If any of you 50´s SoA still didnt do it... Test a second build...
You go leveling...
then when you get to 24, you respec on the second build...
then on that respec you finally get access to the career you want...
I've respeced my widow recently and went from 1-42 without any interruptions. A power pick from the widow pool caused the other powers to become unelectable. -
Hrrmmm...going to have to put my thinking cap on for this month's. Going to be tricky. Yet another moment where I wish I had the skills to do an actual pin-up...
-
Yeah...in order to compete you had to submit an entry last month. Nothing's stopping you from playing along though! I remember a couple folks last year did up pieces for the theme even though they weren't competing. It's all about the artz.
-
Lousy Day gets my vote. That piece is just...beautiful. I still don't have words to describe it. Captured the theme and so much more.
Lots of other excellent entries as well. Looking forward to the rest of the competition. -
hehehe, was hoping somebody would notice the copyright line
-
My entry, in the area of graphic design (because I can't draw worth crap)
It hit me in the shower on Monday what I could do for this month's competition. What if...the Rogue Isles got the 2012 olympics instead of London? Once I started with that...the content pretty much wrote itself.
(Click the image to get the full size page on dA...if I link it directly it'll busticate the forums) -
I'm totally going to be last...
Working on it now.
