I just can't pick any one musical score that I find to be my favorite. All of them do such a wonderful job of immersing you into the story. Watching one of the many movies with his scores in them is a treat in and of itself.
The Star Wars scores will always be favorites; it's probably the first movies that I felt the power that a good soundtrack can have to making a movie that much more. I really started noticing music in movies after my experience with these; good music can make a bad movie better and a good movie great.
Cheers to you, John Williams; may life's song always be as brilliant to you as your music has been to me. -
Yes, the devs will be retconning Statesman out of existence, until he manages to break the dimensional barrier by punching it really hard.

Quote:Overall, I agree with these points. I've have to point out though, that there will be some people who only have 1 or 2 incarnates at all. It really depends on:I do maintain, however, that the players in trials have a responsibility to
1. Be willing to switch to another character
2. "know thy foe" - as was mentioned earlier - the player should read the guides to at least have a rough idea of what to expect.
3. Bring appropriate shifted toons to the appropriate trials.
1. How much playing time the player has
2. Their priority on playing trials or playing alts
I have 2 characters that are 50+3; after that, I only have characters with alpha slots filled. I probably could focus on them getting them vs. leveling alts; just never seems a priority to me. (Kinda gotta burnt on trials, but starting to venture back.) -

Random is random. Sometimes, you get the good side of random; sometimes you don't. For example, usually when I run an ITF, I get somewhere between 8-12 shards. Last night, on a newly Alpha Unlocked character, I got 4. *shrugs*

My first-of record, just for an opposing POV:
BAF: Failed, as we tried using the LFG queue on the first day it was live. We had 13 people, no tanks.
Lambda: Success.
Keyes: Failed, as none of us had actually run it before.
UG: Success, but was very close on losing Des.
TPN: Failed.
MoM: Success. -
C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me! (That's a C for me.)

Anyone know if the highest level player is given leader or not? It can make a difference between playing Posi at level 10 and playing at level 15.

Quote:I'm in the same boat. The funny thing is, I used to get the emails, but they stopped, without my having changed anything. I verified that they are not getting flagged as spam. And, just like you, I get the bug, petition, and survey emails with no problems...No idea; I've been "signed up" for them for a long time (3+ years at least). Never get those promotional emails.
Yes, I've un-checked, applied, re-checked the box and applied the change to the master ncsoft account...still nothing.
Grrr
And yes I get bug/petition emails and survey emails but nothing else... -

Quote:Didn't see a complete answer to this one, so, here goes:So... I don't see Sister Psyche or Manticore...
Who else is missing?
Missing Phalanx: Manticore, Sister Psyche
Missing Vindicators: Infernal, Valkyrie, Swan
Missing Miscellaneous: Lady Grey, Castle, Mirror Spirit, Foreshadow, Maria Jenkins, Hero 1
There are a slew of other contacts that are obviously missing, but I figured that this covered the major missing notables. -

Quote:You forgot that the someone else will proclaim it an unique character!I'm not really bothering to accuse any of these examples of directly ripping off the generic idea from anyone else. I think it just goes to show that if you wait around long enough someone else will come up with their own version of that kind of character eventually. *shrugs*

First year of the Best Animated Feature Film (started in 2001) that Disney/Pixar did not receive a nod. Not surprised by Cars 2, but I guess that there was no love for the newest Winnie the Pooh movie...
Kinda sad about Andy Serkis though; his portrayal as Caesar was top notch. -

Your character automatically starts the game with Vahzilok Wasting Disease and Crey Narcotic temp powers...which never wear off.

Quote:Considering how dark the Ultimates book got, I seriously doubt Disney would ever show that. Between the Giant-Man/Wasp relationship and the Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch "relationship", it'd be considered very non-family oriented. (Or maybe a little too family oriented?)Personally I wish they'd animate all the ultimate universe with few changes and with exploring it a bit more in some areas... like Anime does sometimes.
It'd be great to see the Ultimates done by another channel, like one of the pay channels or maybe F/X? However, I'm not sure there is a channel who would want to do really edgy cartoons, more so than Family Guy, etc. We are talking R/MA rated stuff, so it may do best via direct-to-DVD, a la the DC animated movies. -
Linky
Short version: On April 1, there's going to be a new show, Ultimate Spider-Man, and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be returning!
While it will be nice to see the Ultimate version of Spider-Man, I'm not sure how well him being on a team of 4 other teenage supers is going to go, especially as a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spider-Man has always started out as a loner, often outcast from his peers. It could be an interesting interpretation, or it could be just way off.
However, it is exciting to see a confirmed date for the return of the Avengers series! -
Well, Celestial pieces are still there, so I'm guessing it may be there a bit longer than the original plan of 3 months. Now, of course, you still have several tokens to go, but who knows how things will take shape in the future.

Quote:Spot on. While an interesting concept, it was poorly developed. It's sad that something that, while not an original concept, went against the norm for movie plots, went so poorly. It'd be interesting to see an alternate reality version of the movie that was directed by a higher concept director, such as Christopher Nolan. There are a lot of phrases I'd use to describe Sucker Punch. "Too smart" isn't one of them. The "real point" of the story isn't that hidden or subtle or very deep. It's just a flawed flawed movie. Beautiful: yes. Great music: yes. Interesting concepts: yes but not terribly original. Bad acting: yes. Bad writing: yes. Over use of slow motion: god yes. Style over substance: buckets full. Misogyny disguised as feminism: possibly. Deep meaningful plot: come on...about as subtle as a sledge hammer and as deep as a teaspoon. I don't hate it, I even own it (thanks to a sale at Target); but its a C+ movie at best. It's a very long video game trailer mixed with a music video. There are things to like about it, but intelligence isn't one of them.

First MS Raid for me on Exalted last night; it was a great run, Celestial. It was one of the smoothest I've been on.
