Though, to the same extent, they never promised both PvE and PvP content in every patch.

New issues bring only one new promise: new content. And it's up to the player to decide if that new content is for them or not.

What's the difference between people complaining that every issue is PvP based or people complaining that there aren't any new scrapper/tanker power sets or that Croatoa is too EQ-like.

It comes down to the simple fact of: you can please some of the people some of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time.

If issue 7 included Grandeville, Recluse's Victory, and a new zone for heroes (maybe the Egyptian one that's been rumored) along with new brute/stalker and tanker/scrapper powersets, we'd still have an equal amount of people complaining that the powersets aren't for their AT or the new zones aren't for their level.

No, the argument is that this is another issue without PvE content.

Of course, this is the 7th issue. Only issue 4 and 6 before it didn't feature PvE content. 4 issues didn't feature PvP content of any sort.

It's essentially the same argument PvP players had with all the PvE-centric issues.

Mantid, neither you nor Shakhra are going to win this debate if you guys keep using opinions as absolute truths.

Some people like PvP. Yes, some people even bought CoV specifically FOR PvP.

Some people don't like PvE. They play CoH/V and avoid PvP zones and PvP combat.

Neither side is right. Neither side is wrong. Both sides do deserve the attention, though, since everyone's 15 dollars is as good as everyone else's. There's some of us who don't even PvP exclusively that are waiting for Recluse's Victory just to get PvP zone badges. Surely your desires are no better nor worse than mine. And neither of ours invalidates the others.

I tried to reply with a flaming limmerick, but you just can't convey disgust and anger with that rhyming scheme.

Boomtown's rebuilding could very well be part of I7.

It's just not a big selling point, you know? People who don't have the game wouldn't know what Boomtown is. So why would they care if Boomtown was being rebuilt? However, WHOLE new zones? That speaks to new players. New powers? New graphics? New costume options?

A lot of people are taking this as gospel of what will be and won't be in I7. It's a marketing department press release meant to attract new players to the game before the issue hits. That's why it hit MMORPG.com before the main site.
