    ok. Thanks everyone for your info! I think I'll take the presence pool taunts and invoke panic things and keep you all posted because as I said, i think it could be quite useful for a tank to have a mass fear and I dont mind putting some SO's in the mass taunt.

    If anyone has any experience with this pool as a tanker plz let me know.

    2 Questions :)

    Anyone have any idea how the presence pool taunts compare to normal tanker taunts? i like the idea of the mass fear that comes at the end of the pool which could be quite helpful.

    Also, on my stone / stone tanker is it worth getting taunt because i seem to hold aggro ok with mud pots but will things change as lvls go up?

    Any help much appreciated

  3. I have to agree, I dislike seeing controllers that (with the introduction of containment) focus on the damage aspects of their sets. I think a controllers job is similar to a tanks - holding aggro off of other members. Control before damage. Always!

    Haven't seen a post on sonic / sonic yet! So... what are your opinions on the set? I currently have a lvl 10 sonic sonic who am i enjoying quite a lot .. any advice on what to / what not to get?

    i havent played an Emp before but I'd say skip the power pool powers until u cant get any more on ur empathy set as those powers r vry important. When u get the change however, try swift or something for travel.

    Just made a Fire Fire tank because i dont see them a lot these days. I am quite enjoying it although im only lvl 10. Are they the suckiest tanks these days?

    That is something about this game i dont quite get. How is it possible to dodge something like mud pots, fire ball or other AoEs like that.. its like dodging a bomb or quicksand.. u cant do it. It should stay autohit to retain a bit of authenticity.

  13. Yeah i see your point but i will also point out the acc debuff on smoke as this may keep you and your imps alive longer.. I'm not sure of the figures tho maybe sum1 could point them out. Good build tho

This is from observing a Grav/kin controller for a whole Tf and a few other controllers. The point is that the more fluent their moves are the better their doing. Its like Bach.... control/control/buff control/buff debuff/.... If you thinks im nuts then try watching a Grav/kinetics controller at work

I got a lvl 50 Fire Kin and may i say what a fab choice u have made i would get plenty of control powers and allow ur imps and fire blast powers to do the dmg.. i would also recommend Smoke as this can allow you to get right up to them and Cinder them or fulcrum them etc.. its quite a useful power altho some may disagree. Also.. Consume and Transferance? I think ur overdoing it on the end drain / return. Maybe a few time reductions in one and dropping the other? This could make room for Smoke..

    They r the best char ive played so far mate nice one

    Just created a stone warmace tanker and need some help. I usually play controllers but stone tanks look pretty gd. I don't fancy taking TP as my travel power will this really let me down? Also.. any advice on playing styles and do n donts etc will b much appreciated

    why bring PvP into this? Normally im talking about.. PvP builds are different from normal missioning builds. Trust me.. if u aint interested in PvP (like me) get SJ and acrobatics

    Definatly go for Superjump, no doubt about it.. Acrobatics is essential for the unshielded AT and with this in mind i see no use for Inertial Reduction as SJ comes before. I always build using this policy and have never taken Inertial Reduction. However, Siphon Speed is worth getting just for the increased recharge. This can also act as a travel power with your superjump.

    And hey.. You dont have to keep recasting Inertial Reduction on those long travels
  20. Suckiest power on the game IMO. People rate it soo highly as a travel power but consider this - you have to recast it every 2 minutes, with a proper Travel power you can get neighbouring powers like combat jumping / hover which give DEF bonuses and i found it to have no proper use ingame except entertain lvl 1s.
  21. Being quite experienced with controllers there are a few suggestions i could give..

    1) Take Kinetics - its the most underrated set IMO.. not only are its buffs on par with empathy but Fulcrum Shift is amazing with the new Containment inherant power. In the later levels a real winner for me is mass immob, fulcrum shift and fireball.. easily takes down minions.

    2) controllers are weak at the start and endurance is apalling as with all ATs at that stage.. be very careful with your mass immob as you can attract tonnes of aggro which you cant take. If you need to immob, run after and let them cool down.

    3) Your a controller... mass hold is essential.

    4) When choosing sets look at all the powers, pick out the key ones, and think about good combinations. Not only does it give you something to look forward to and drive you forward but it helps you to map your character.

    5) Don't bother with the single target immob first power.. its quite useless ive found. Much better off taking the single target hold first thing

    6) finally... IMO, the best 2 sets are fire kinetics for pure fun, the best hold set is gravity (good for Hamidon) and the best set for general control is mind. (I'm not a fan of Illusion because it doesnt have the good combinations that other sets have, only damaging pets)
