I have the same problem.
I would prefer not having to rename files but I'll give it a shot if that's what I have to do. -
You might need to add a few words.
What exactly is the problem here?
Only Praetorians are allowed to make that salute?
Is this the CoH-verse equivalent of doing a so called Nazi salute in broad daylight without feeling ashamed at all?
It's not like the praetorian salute is an actual thing, it's just a name given for the emote. And even if it was it doesn't mean that nobody else can do that gesture without being a Loyalist.
To me it looks like the Longbow officer is assuming a pose of dedication, pledging his life and honor to serve and protect. But what do I know. -
Sort of like that but it should be a piggy bank. With wings.
-
I won't buy the leprechaun pet because I hate the way it looks.
I suggest a new pet with the exact same function but instead of an angry leprechaun it should be a flying winged piggy bank, farting rainbows. -

Quote:I don't care how fast or difficult or complex these things are. I leave them bored out of my skull like I were forced to stare at a Jackson Pollock painting for 45 minutes of my life.
You poor, tortured soul!
What I wouldn't give to be able to stare at a Jackson Pollock painting for 45 minutes...
Seriously though, the trials aren't complex plots. They are simple "here's the situation, kick some ***" premises. Since they are dragged out to 30-60 minutes I can understand why they would bore someone who was expecting a greater amount of plot to be handed out during that time period. But that's not why we are there. -
I'm not ignoring Domination, I'm saying that it doesn't seem to help.
Quote:Domination actually helps you mez them exactly because it adds mez stacking. They're harder to mez than a boss, but they are mezzable, and Domination makes that a lot easier. (This is in regards to when the PToDs are down, or for EBs that don't have them.)
I would like EBs to work more like AVs; give them a temporary mez protection like the purple triangles, but not as powerful as an AV's and being up only for 1/3rd of the time instead of 1/2 the time. Then reduce the EB inherent mez immunity down to normal Boss standards. That should suffice. -
While we're talking about Elite Bosses, can we discuss their immunity to mez? They are even more immune than AVs, who can at least be mezzed when their purple triangles are down. I don't know what it takes to mez an EB but I know that when I'm on a Dominator there is no real point in trying even with Domination up. So how about a fix for EB mez resistance to make them more fun to fight for Doms and Controllers, before we start stacking them in even greater numbers all over the place?

All this makes me wonder why they bothered with the "echo" version in ouroboros at all. They could just have made the door from Talos go to the old version of DA and the portals in PI and Grandville go to the new version. Explain it by the usual slipping time-scale; levelling up means time passes.

I think OP has a good idea. The only thing that might be better would be a way to see all timers currently affecting a character. Perhaps in the character's info window we could have a tab that lists all the timers, just like we have information about alignment missions and pvp stats.

What do you mean it's "back"?
That bug has never gone away as far as I know. -
Quote:I think we would be better off just ignoring the Origin of Power arc and all it's idiocy. Although I did like taking the silly part about mutants and making a character who was one of the "first mutants" who appeared in 1938...But if all of the narrators are unreliable, what's the point of having an Origin of Power story arc in the first place. The arc is almost nothing but exposition. An arc that is nothing but unreliable exposition about a subject the players themselves rarely agree upon and the devs then proceed to do nothing with is basically saying that the reason Origin of Power is not nonsensical is because its pointless instead.

Weeeell, if it was me running the show:
Aurora takes over the Sister Psyche TF.
Synapse takes over the Manticore TF.
Positron takes over the Statesman TF.
Blue Steel takes over the Synapse TF.
Penny Yin takes over both of Positron's TFs.
Back Alley Brawler becomes a trainer in Kings Row. -

I tried it.
The first elite boss took about five minutes to whittle down. Slow and dull but it's my fault for playing a tanker.
The second elite boss used confuse and psychic damage. I couldn't attack them and they could actually hurt me, so I quit before I was defeated. I didn't feel like burning a bunch of large inspirations just to get breakfrees for this adventure, which honestly seemed not quite finished.
You said you have a lot of text in the arc? You should probably put some of that text in the description of the custom enemies because everyone is not going to be well versed in the difference between various types of angels. I didn't see much text at all in my admittedly brief journey. Are there that many customs in the arc that you're already running out of space?
I'll get back to the arc when it's more complete, I think. -
All of the rest of the game is pretty much like that when you're on a team.

In the vein of DV I now call dibs on Lore RPing the offspring.

Katana/Kinetic scrapper.
Dual Pistols/Martial Arts blaster. -
I love when it happens. My character just stands there, all awesome and cool, while things die around him. I wish we had more powers that didn't put us in the combat stance. Especially laser eye beams looks so much better standing straight instead of crouching.
