So, I respecced into something very similar to what was recommended.
Now Im just curious if there would be someway to add fireball to the build. I noticed after getting all of the +end accolades, that even when exemped lower than 25, my blue bar barely moves. Adding fireball would give me that much needed additional AoE. -
Nice Job!
You know, every time I try to solo an AV on my SS toons, it is judt epic fail. -
Quote:As a comic geek with military and police training that is soon to acquire a large amount of money, I must ask, where can I get one of these?Have been looking a little further into it. As well as training to physical perfection, Bruce also gained knowledge of forensics and multiple scientific analytical disciplines.
One could circumvent this by having your Batmen (or, considering the attrition rate the theories above are incurring, perhaps we should call them "Blasters"?) trained only in evidence gathering, hooked up via video/audio links to a centralised crime lab.
Unless you're going to go with one supergothgirlgenius on a continual caffeine drip-feed, that needs a team and a building. Rochester,NY recently installed a new crime lab for $30m plus $5m annual budget, which considering the case volume generated by,say, five to ten Batmen, would be perfectly adequate.
So if we can't do a perfectly accurate Batman (grapnel guns, the works) IRL, what could we conceivably deck our caped crusaders out with?
Let's start with this...
..combination weighted bulletproof arm glove, flashlight, laser pointer, HD camera, and 300,000 volt taser (though, to my mind, the discharge points are in the wrong place). -
Forget I said anything, confused Running Man and Total Recall. Goin to bed now, Night all.
-
Cant look real in depth at the moment, wife aggro, and she runs tactics and focused accuracy, so I cant dodge her.
However, I would work on getting at least 45% to all. Late game there will be times where splash damage will hit you.
Like I said, just a quick look for now, I would recommend slotting eviscerate with Sciroccos dervish, that will drop your melee def some, but it stays over 45, and brings your AoE up to the level of your melee and ranged. Also looks like your over the rule of 5 with your 10% Regen bonuses.
Also, what are your plans for this toon? AV soloing, general teaming? -
I'll have a look over it when it isn't family time.
One thing about it is, no gloom. This an all hero brute.
I got third place in a costume contest yesterday and got enough to snag up a Shield Wall +res to go in it, as well as the Glad armor proc which I got the day after I posted the initial build. With what I have posted I have soloed most of the Praetorian AV's with one or two exceptions, and even took out a Pylon using GFS, Incinerate, and Cremate.
I do thank everyone for looking and offering suggestions. -

Was wondering if someone would mind having a look at my build. Just wondering if I have overlooked anything. With 1 or 2 in range of invince I am softcapped to energy damage and surpass s/l, that way I have some wiggle room for def debuffs.

Vampire Earth series, by E. E. Knight.
The first book, Way of the Wolf is easily one of my favorite books.
It's so god in fact, that whenever a new book comes out, I practically reread the series.
Now that I'm at home and not work, I can add more.
Here's the synopsis, blatantly stolen from wikipedia.
The story begins in 2065 in a post-apocalyptic American setting. Forty-three years ago, in 2022, an alien race known as the Kurians triggered a series of natural disasters (as well as artificial ones) that enabled them to gain control of the planet and subjugate humanity. A plague has reduced the world population to 25% of its pre-cataclysm level; nuclear explosions have created a mild form of nuclear winter, cooling the earth, and smaller events everywhere have added to the chaos. In America, the New Madrid fault let go, destroying much of the Midwest. Major rivers such as the Mississippi have been unleashed.
Plot
In the year 2022 CE, a seemingly immortal extraterrestrial race called "Kurians" has wrested control of the Earth from its inhabitants. The Kurians derive their endless lifespans from draining the "vital aura" of other life forms. To facilitate this addiction to life energy, the Kurians employ avatars known as "Reapers".
Following the Kurian takeover, many humans made the decision to serve the new overlords. These traitors, known as Quislings, are set up as members of the police and supervisory government for the Kurian Order. Nearly every other human who is not a Quisling is known as a Territorial, and is either a slave scratching out a living in various trades, or fighting with rebel organizations such as the Southern Command.
After a time, the Kurian Order reduced Earth to a technological and social Dark Age, with only the few remaining pre-2022 machines and transportation networks surviving, with most of these under Kurian control. As an incentive to good and loyal service to the Kurian Lords, Quislings are awarded bonds of various lengths of years (3, 5, 10), which protect the wearers from the Reapers. Even more sought after is the "Brass Ring". A Brass Ring ensures that one never has to fear being randomly taken by the Reapers at night, although it can be revoked and cannot be passed to one's children.
Pockets of resistance do exist, however. The main rebel group fighting the Order at the beginning of the series is known as Southern Command. A formal military (though classified by the Order as terrorists) is charged with the defense of the Ozark Free Territory; Southern Command would be doomed were it not for the Hunters.
Hunters are seperated into castes.
Wolves: Wolves are long-range patrollers, able to run almost tirelessly for hours on end, and possessing the ability to "harden" their senses to the sensory ability akin to a wolf. Wolves engage in guerrilla warfare against the Kurian Order; killing Reapers to weaken the Kurians, smuggling out humans, destroying resources of the Order, and fighting in rapid hit-and-run engagements with the Grog and human soldiers of the Order.
Cats: A smaller and slightly more elite caste than the Wolves. They are not part of the formal military hierarchy, although they are considered captains as a courtesy. They receive agility and reflexes comparable to a feline, as well as incredible balance and cat-like night vision. Cats do not often travel in groups, working as solitary spy-saboteurs, gathering information and destroying assets deep within the Kurian-controlled areas.
Bears: These are the near-unstoppable shock troops of the Human resistance. When modified by a Lifeweaver to become a Bear, a human soldier becomes "a walking tank", fighting like a berserker of old and possessing tremendous strength and power. Bear physical capabilities are actually on par with the Reapers themselves, able to fight and even kill Reapers in single combat. They also possess an incredible faculty for healing, to the point of regenerating nerve damage and internal organs that have been lost. Lost & Found, a Bear introduced in Valentine's Rising, actually revives from beyond clinical and physical death. Bears induce a trance-like state called "going Red", which seems to induce the berserker rage for which the Bears are famous. -
Hi, hope you guys can answer a question for me. I just don't want to start a whole new thread.
What is the top attack chain for FM, without using gloom? I want to use Blaze Mastery as my epic. -
I have finally decided to roll a WM toon, but can't decide on what secondary to choose?
Should I be strong and pretty? Should I go with /sr for quickness? Maybe /Wp?
I know that WM has some strong single target damage and some decent AoE capabilities, but can anyone lay out the best attack chain? Using WM only? -
Points to the guide in Usagi Yojimbo's sig...
-
taxi is not a scrappers job. If you were going for those powers, I would suggest making tp your travel power. If you were going to sacrifice anything from SR the only 2 that I would ever think about skipping would be quickness and elude. If you are going for softcap, elude is kinda redundant. Quickness is great to get a god attack chain going, but not an absolute necessity.
-
I'll post my build when I get home. For mine I went with a build that hits soft cap, can take down A/V's, and still has some AoE capability. I also do not care much about patron powers, so ymmv.

Quote:I actually have a brute, ss/sr just waiting on Gr to releas so he can change sides. Just sittin around collecting badges for now.I'd also love to see Super Strength for Scrappers. Would like to make an SS/SR Scrapper, which would go together well with some of the boxer costume pieces. A Natural SS/SR Scrapper who's turned his attention toward helping save Paragon from all the villains would be cool, and is what I'd love to do.
P.S. Love that Dwarf design. -

I asked in another thread about soloing AV's with stalkers. The advice made sense, and got me to thinking. Maybe I should spend some time leveling a stalker up before I worry about soloing an AV. With that in mind, I have narrowed my choices down to the following.
Em/Reg
Em/Wp
Em/Nin
I have played reg and wp to 50 on scraper/brutes, and /sr the same. I will be playing pve with some zone pvp, but nothing to hardcore. What would you recomendend, and why? -
Hi all. Have a few quick wuestions for the stalker gurus. A little background first though. I have been playing since shortly after I2 released. I have a couple scraapers that can solo Av's, a brute that can solo Av's, but not a stalker past 25 yet. I'm just curious, is it possible for stalkers to solo av's? If so, are those same stalkers still viable in pvp? I've been thinking of rolling either an em/nin or an em/wp. Anyone have any suggestions?
-
When shields first came out, I was one of the only people that wasn't impressed. It seemed to me to be a weaker version of /sr. I finally got around to making one the other day. I really am impressed. This is fun as hell, and I haven't even gotten around the Shield Charge yet.
So I hereby apologize. -
Quote:I started a claws/wp brute to, but when it occurred to me that one of the best attacks in the set ran kind of counter to the use of rttc, I decided to side line him and reroll as fm.Glad it's working well for you. I went claws/wp brute doing the same things I did with my /wp scrapper and the guy really is a beast. Willpower is such a nice set, it starts strong even with little investment, and if you can layer in some defense on top of the regen/recovery and resistance it only gets stronger.
-
I'm pretty sure SS doesn't have enough st damage.
-
Hey Windenergy, thanks for that build, gave me a great rout to go for a fm/sr that Iv'e been thinking about, though he may become a dm/sr. 45.5 melee def 42.9 aoe, and 48.6 ranged. Combine that with 402% regen, and 50% recharge before hasten.
Let the A.V. soloing begin!!!!!!!!! -
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I explained my intent properly. Just to clarify, say I am at 32, I can slot my attacks with 35 IO Sets, and it be equivalent or better than SO's or generic IO's as far as acc, dam, end redux, and also benefit from the set bonuses?
-
Hi all. Been gone for awhile, and just curious, when is the best time to start slotting Io's for sets bonuses? Mid 30's? I am really curious, as I want a good return on the actual percentage that they are buffing (def, res, end redux) and want the sets as well.
-
Just curious, but is physical perfection beneficial for /sr.
I haven't had much of an issue soloing AV's on my Claws/sr, but I havent played him since before they added that power. If it is, I may need to respec into it.
