  1. Ahh. Not everything in the LotR trilogy was in the books either. Hopefully it won't be needless scenes just for the sake of including them. I don't see why they would be in there though...

And it's awesome. I played that one with my main (ninja/dark mastermind) many times before I could solo it.

Invincible is my favorite comic. I missed the boat years ago, but in the past few have been collecting via TPBs. I can't wait on each new one!
  4. Big Pink Panther fan here. My parents loved those movies and I watched them tons of times on old VHS tapes as a kid. The timing in those movies and the other character's interactions and reactions to Peter Sellers shows some great direction.
  5. Flash Arrow is always first in my attack chain. Flash, Glue, Poison, Acid, Disruptor, Build Up, Rain of Arrows. I vary it when soloing a bit, but I almost always team with that toon. lvl 50 a/ta with the Musculature Alpha Boost = fun.
  6. To me things kind of fell apart right at the end, but I'm still a fan of Robert Downy Jr., Guy Ritchie, and this film in general. I'll likely be seeing the sequel in the theater...and that's saying a lot for me as I almost never go to the theater since I'm poor.

  8. I enjoyed this one so much in the theater, that I'll have to watch it again now that you guys have reminded me about it.

I've also read several of the Dirk Pitt novels. Eh. They are ok, and a good diversion to kill time at work when I have the opportunity.
  9. I'm thinking it could have been a bigger revelation than her being pregnant, but not by Rick. Can they really tell that from a blood test? Since Jenner could actually take a blood sample from Rick's son, I'm thinking that Rick's son might really be Shane's and that an affair had been going for years. From Rick and Shane's conversation before the shootout in the first episode, it didn't sound like Rick's marriage was in the best shape.

    Smallville 12/10

Makes me sad to know it's coming to an end. I was watching last night and my wife, who isn't a fan of the show, was in the room during the Deathstroke vs. Hawkman fight and stated how cool she thought it was that there were more characters on there now. Who doesn't want a Justice League spinoff or something? Hawkman was awesome.
  12. I'm going damage. I was excited about 33% and almost started drooling when I saw the end result could be 45%.

But it did beat MacGruber per theater so that's something (except that MacGruber had only a $10 million production cost and The Warrior's Way was $42 million). Have to see how well it does in Asia.
The trailer made it look like CGI junk. There is no way that I'd see it in a theater; I can see why it's bombing.

The only reason that I'm at all interested in it is due to the comments in this thread. They should have either done better work with the CGI, or have kept the CGI at a minimum and went wire-fu with this one.
  14. I slotted on IO that had a "chance for buildup" proc in my 1st tier ninjas. The proc would only go off when I summoned those ninjas.
  15. I just reviewed the parts with CDC guy from the last episode (I'm saving them on my DVR because my wife says that she will check it out at some point). He knocked over something in the dish with the brain tissue in it that caused a reaction. He then, stupidly, rubs his hand in the dish, maybe trying to see what the reaction is doing. He notices a corrosive effect on the outer glove and rips it off, to see the same effect on the inner glove, on the finger, it appears that the skin might have been showing through a bit. It was difficult to see. And then he runs out and gets decontaminated, and the computer destroys the sample. I took his statements to the camera to be despondence over having his work destroyed, and that he seemed to believe that he was the only person left and that any further actions would be futile. It seemed like he was surprised to see other people at all. At least that's my take on it. Also, I didn't notice a band aid or anything, but there could have been a little discoloration on his finger. Again, hard to see. I wouldn't rule out possible infection in the guy.
  16. I was always hoping that Lucas would pull his head out of you know where and have Kershner direct another Star Wars project. I agree that Empire is, by far, the best of the Star Wars movies.

It's different from normal DCU continuity. I get it, but when Robin acts like Tim, i.e. all the computer hacking stuff, and Kid Flash acts like Bart, and not Wally, then it changes my enjoyment of the show a bit. Also, Barry Allen was wearing Wally West's version of the Flash costume. If they wanted the look and the attitudes of those characters, why not just have those characters fill those roles?

Exactly. They just shoehorned the classic characters into the roles that they had grown out of that were being filled by others.

Ok. That makes it work for me then. I have no problems separating movies, television shows, or cartoons from the original works that they are based on. I treat them as two separate properties. I know that things were a little different in the first episode, but it had the first issue of the comic series down almost exactly, so I assumed that it was following comic continuity. Maybe I will become a Walking Dead TPB addict like I am with Invincible.

    .
I appreciate the presence of the JL but I want another cartoon focused on them, not as back up players for Young Justice. I want what I want!

    Firebreather

I recorded this for my son, but watched it with him this morning. It was well done and I was very impressed with the action and the storylines. Makes me wish that I collected the comic.

I'll second, third, or fourth the Invincible cartoon suggestion. That's my favorite comic.
  21. I'll probably wait for video, but yeah. I want to see the Rock in action movies, not kiddie ones.
  22. I watched this with my 3-year-old son yesterday. Really exciting and action packed. The animation was really impressive. I wish they would make another Justice League series with that quality of animation. Anyway, we both really enjoyed the show and will continue watching.

I'm assuming that Robin was Tim and maybe we will see Dick as Nightwing at some point. Also, I think that the Flash in the League was Wally and that Kid Flash is really Impulse. It may not be true, but that's how I'm going to enjoy the show.
  23. I like having a tank, brute, or scrapper on the team to take up some damage so I can focus on killing stuff and not having to play so much defense.

Even if I'm playing one of those ATs, I still like having another one around to soak up some of the damage. I'm not good at building towards defense and survivability; I just like killing stuff.

If the Devs allowed us the option to buy more slots that would solve most lingering RP limitations like this.
You would also need to have two names per character. You are walking around as Clark Wayne in civilian clothes and then you respond to trouble and you transform into SuperBatguy with your superhero costume.
  25. I always thought of the tier 1 heroes as Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and those guys. The ones that even non comics fan know all about. The tier 2 ones, to me, were guys like Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and others of that level. They are teammates and friends with the tier 1 guys, but they just don't have that instant recognition factor. Booster Gold and the like are 3rd tier or below for me.
