So I have the bundle now and to my surprise the emotes were the ones I had purchased in the party pack WTF!.

Why must the full list and pictures of what's in the pack be shown after you have purchased them.

How was I to know the emotes that I wanted, thinking they were new, were emotes I had already (next time could marketing label them as new or old emotes).

    Not Happy

Will think twice before buying another bundle with poor descriptions on it.
The Pocket D pack has been on the beta test server for at least a week. Plenty of time to check out what it contained before it went live.

The forums need a new icon to let people know what to expect before they enter a thread.

To be honest I already learned how his brain works from the old SGU threads when he'd drop in to criticize episodes he never watched. He was basing his arguments off of what he saw during the commercial teasers for the next weeks episode.

Notice how the OP is accusing everyone else of the very things (Lies, obfuscation, insults) he is guilty of doing in this thread. Priceless.

Go back and reread her post. She never lied. She truthfully said that the recharge buffs were a big part of the problem.

For someone who claims to be "fairly awesome at figuring out where bugs are even if they don't make much sense for most" without ever having to look at the actual code, you somehow managed to overlook the blatantly obvious fact that she flat out told you that the recharge buffs were only part of the problem.

You could say that some of us also made the same error but that hardly matters since only you and Border_Line were the ones claiming how easy it is to add features and identify problems without ever seeing the actual game code.

Oh and did you also notice that Border_Line stopped responding after he baited you into supporting his ridiculous statements? Maybe he just got tired of this thread, or had RL issues that are preventing him from responding sooner.
  6. It's always possible that they intended the Roman pack to serve the same purpose as the Christmas and Halloween packs. After all they did make a big thing about

    Roman = Roman(ce)
Cupid originally a Roman god that has become synonymous with romance.
Cupid's Bow added to the Roman Pack

    From the advertisement

    Quote:
Shoot "Rome" into "Romance" with new featured items in the Paragon Marketâ„¢!

Cupid's bow shoots straight to the heart of romance in this costume bundle of Roman-inspired pieces! Like the Roman empire, this 23-piece set won't last forever--it's available in the Paragon Market until February 29, 2012!
And like both previous holiday packs this sale ends when the Spring Fling ends.

Still I myself would love it if they'd sell the Toga, Sandals, and Laurel on the market.
  7. If they offered a Spring Fling Pack just during the event I'd buy it..

I can't take Dredd seriously with this mental image.

Yes, they look like functional swat gear, and that's a good thing, but they're also supposed to be *uniforms* - something you can identify at a distance.

I would have liked to have seen the gold trim kept. Adding the shoulder flares to that picture would make the helmet look smaller.

It's the lack of spit and polish that bothers me. Judges are living examples of Law and Order and should always have shining spotless uniforms that are easily recognized like in the first film.

Sure it's okay to get grunged up in a firefight but the new uniforms detract from what a Judge represents.

The rest of it is a deliberate design choice. They went that route because they wanted players to feel like they were stepping into a comic book. Personally I think it makes you feel like your stepping into the funny pages without the funny.

Judge helmets aren't motorcycle helmets. The helmet is standard issue for all Judges regardless of vehicle their assigned. The closest comparison would be the ballistic helmets used by the military and police.

That is what it should look like. The first movie was spot on.

In this movie the helmets looks goofy.

In other words... it requires someone that is honest and competent and the likely hood of someone being that when it comes to "testing" me from this community is about as low as you can possibly get.
Everyone notice how Durakken has changed his tune?

When Arcanaville gives an example of a subtle bug and what the fix was, he was all, that solution was obvious to me. When he's never seen the code.

But when it's suggested that other actual subtle CoH bugs that have been fixed be mentioned so mr "I'm fairly awesome at figuring out where bugs are even if they don't make much sense for most" can demonstrate how awesome he actually is by telling us what he thinks was done to fix the problems, he now wants to impose conditions that don't exist in real life and furthermore insults Arcanaville's and the dev's honesty and competence by implying that there is no one in the community that can be trusted.

Not buying it for a second. In my personal experience the only times I've seen seen people say something like that is when they knew they were doing exactly what they were claiming not to have done.

Giving you the benefit of doubt at best you are assuming it would have been obvious to you.

It would be nice if we could test your self proclaimed powers of deduction by listing a few issues and letting you tell us what you think is the problem and then compare that to the actual cause of the problem.

Wait are you actually suggesting that the reason most people play super hero games is because they want to play super heroes?

With all due respect, Clockwork O1 has already explained why the devs turned off all powers on the non combat travel powers.

This is not a simple request, it is an exponential increase in time and work for every new animation that is put into the game.
    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...3&postcount=63

And in that response he's only addressing the animations it would take for each existing power and each power that will be added as the devs keep developing new power sets.

He doesn't even broach the multitude of other things that would need to be modified on to get things to work right.
  21. I think the best way to repopulate Praetoria is to create a new GM that randomly appears in Mercy Island and Atlas Park next the the Trainers and group teleports everyone in a 200ft radius to Nova Praetoria and randomly changes their alignments to either Resistance or Loyalist.

    Mwahahaha!

It means that the success of "Freedom" has generated more than enough income to justify the dedication of more resources to developing new stuff. This is no different than how the Booster packs generated the money to fund Ultra Mode and other features.

For example, both prior to and during I14 beta - aka Architect beta - I did *a lot* of testing of critter behavior. Lots of things struck me as weird, but a long standing issue that was generally known for a long time was the fact that critters did not always use all of their attacks. This was most troubling when it came to mastermind pets. Sometimes you'd upgrade a pet with an attack only to discover it never used it, ever.

Turns out a major part of the problem was recharge buffs, but that was a very non-obvious bug. There's no logical reason to expect that improving the recharge of powers would make a critter not use certain ones. The *obvious* logical thought process was this: since the critter's attacks were recharging faster, it might end up using the same attacks over and over at the expense of other attacks. But it often happened that the critter stood around and did nothing when recharge buffed, even if it attacked just fine when not recharge buffed.

That was a very non-obvious bug, and it took a lot of very careful testing to figure out what was ultimately happening.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Arcanaville. Doing what Durakken thinks is impossible.

Now hold on just a minute. Even you have to admit that there was only one thing that prevented Stallone from nailing Dredd's character. And that is the simple fact that the movie wasn't a silent film.

Armand Assante should have played both Dredd and Rico.
