No I'm not. Nor is it unfair. Our devs respond to us all the time on suggestions and ideas that they never promised to implement. They do it here on the forums, during Ustreams, during in-game Q&A's, at conventions, etc.

If they can respond to all those topics they can respond to this one as well.

No it's not. We've been patiently waiting to hear something about this for 7 years and this is the first you've ever heard any grumbling about it. If you think that equates to entitlement, then you need to get your head examined.

The original posts have long been lost to forum purges and the switchover to the new forums. But the surveys also asked what we wanted for power sets and that's where we got Shields from.

If BaBs could take 2 minutes out of his busy schedule to tell us that an Underwater Zone would take far too much time and resources to create and ultimately look crappy, then someone at PS could give us a response on the Moon zone.

Even something along the lines of what we were told about Power Customization would have been appreciated.

First - If they never intended to make a Moon Zone then it should never have been an option on the survey.

Second - If there is a reason why the zone that was voted the players choice for what we wanted could not be added to the game, then tell us what it is. I know I've never heard anything official, or any players claiming they heard anything.

Which is exactly why free form builds were yanked from this game while it was still being tested. It's also a big reason why that other MMO restricted access to free form builds and imposed archetypes similar to what we have.

Now if that is what he is referring to, then the only way I can figure that he can come to the bizarre conclusion that there is a conspiracy against him is if Border_line is an alternate identity on a secondary account that he owns and he is assuming that there is a group of players that know both of his forum identities and that he uses them to support his own posts.


Personally I think Border_line is a completely different person and not the OP's "alter ego".

I wonder which other Super Hero MMO the OP is referring to. The one that sucks, or the one that blows.

1. That restriction is an incentive to subscribe.

2. Allowing non subscribers access to the Beta server would be a colossally stupid move on the companies part because it would give the dead beats unrestricted access to everything in the both the market and the game without ever having to pay for it.

Why would anyone spend money on the game or play on the live servers if they could simply get everything for free on Beta. Just copy your characters over and trick them out for free. If the devs erase the servers just copy the characters over again and trick them out for free again.

And that is exactly why you should check things out on the test server. That way if you don't like something you can voice it there and maybe get it changed before it goes live. Or vice versa, voice your support for the way something looks and prevent it from getting changed.

In either case you have had a chance to see what's coming before you have to make a decision on whether or not to buy it.

The first thing my Merc Medic has always done is run right up to the most powerful opponent, punch him, then get killed. I spend more time rezzing/resummoning and healing that idiot than he spends healing me and his other henchmates.

Those rewards are only offered in the ultra rare Valentines Day Tip mission where you come home early from fighting crime to surprise your significant other only to find him/her in bed with your nemesis.

What's to figure out? Obviously it's CoH's version of the TARDIS.

It got off topic when a poster (not the OP) made himself look foolish when he started claiming that modifications to this game are "relatively easy" and "shouldn't be difficult" because he worked as a programmer on another game engine, and a good programmer doesn't need to see CoH's code to know that.

Not to be outdone, the OP then jumped in and got himself into the current situation when his showing off back fired on him.

Because you flat out admitted that you refuse to take the time to look at the costume pieces while they were available for viewing before you purchased them.

When you buy something sight unseen you have no one to blame but yourself.

But they weren't. You just refused to go to where they were available to be looked at before they were put on the market.

Well congratulations! All MMO's have been clearly stating for years that people have to go on their Beta/test servers if they want to see new content before it goes live.

Costumes, Emotes, Enhancements, Recipes, Missions, etc are all content that gets tested on Beta before going live.

Beta server.

Maybe it's just me but I thought Rob Schneider did a good job as one of the bizarre Mega City One citizens I remember from the comic books. The only problem was he never should have been a major character.
