I don't see the connection since GG seems to be agreeing with you.
Quote:Edit: Also, how long did it take us to get Shields after that survey? -

Quote:What I was referring to is what designs the Doctor Who show could have come up with if the show had a comparable budget to Next Generation. Robbie the Robot showed us what could be done with a budget in 1956 which predates both Trek and Who.Ignoring the obvious chronological issues i can see your point if you're referring to the original Cybermen, but not so much the newer version, and far less so the Daleks since their origin and goals are so different from the Borg's.
As far as the Dalek origin and goals, they seem to have gotten twisted in the new series as far as being willing to "assimilate" human DNA for what they considered Dalek genetic material so they could rebuild the race. -
Quote:And then Adric would do something that gets them both killed, and the Doctor would explain that there are fixed points in time and nothing can change them. Adric and Wesley die.Depends on who's writing.
If it's Roddenberry's crew, Wesley would have some off-the-wall ***-pull that'd bring him out on top...again...
And everyone in both universes rejoice. -
Imperials don't bother writing next of kin. They just send a bill for the cost of training that the Empire spent to train the soldier that the family is now required to pay off or go to prison.

Quote:Whose polls they were doesn't matter because those same polls got us Shields and the other power sets we said we wanted. And they were added long after he left.Wait, it was Jack's poll??? You mean the dude who hasn't had anything to do with City of Heroes for like 5-6 years?

Quote:A beautiful young lady who got bitten by a radioactive steam train, and is now exactly as powerful as a locomotive?
Ya know I have enough weird ideas for characters. I don't need you throwing fuel on the fire. Thanks a lot.

Quote:I'm with you on this Tech. The OP's complaint reminds me of this guys complaint about how the Science Booster encourages cross dressing in real life.Going over the OP...
Uh, yeah. Sorry, this looks like it's been blown way out of all reasonable proportion, compared to what is actually stated in the dialogue.

Quote:No, but the Smuggler does get a "Kick in the Crotch" melee attack that stuns the opponent. Funny as hell when it's used on a droid. Who knew droids had family jewels. So in the new Star Wars game, does the smuggler actually get a "Don't Shoot First" ability that makes the opponents' first attack a guaranteed miss and all subsequent attacks a high chance to miss so long as the smuggler doesn't try shooting first?
Not even a sith should be able to touch one of them! -
Quote:Is there a good population of players still? I haven't been on since 09 and want to come back but will it be possible for me to still find players to group with and guild with?
Yes there's still a good population. The easiest way to find good communities is by joining global channels. You won't be able to do that on a free account. You'll have to upgrade to at least a Premium account. Subscribing has no restrictions and gets you access to an additional server if you choose to use it. -

No. It's just idle conversation to chat about. Plus we get to laugh at Lucas and at any SW nerds that take this way too seriously.

Quote:Because, it's not like we have over 20 years worth of TV screenings, videos, even the cruddy quality DVD release that proves otherwise is it? Like this:

Thanks for the link. I completely forgot that Greedo had his gun on Han the whole time. That looks even more like a scene from a spaghetti western.
I heard Lucas is re-editing all the Indiana Jones movies and replacing the Nazi's with Gungans. -
Yeah but Star Trek is about exploring outer space. It's expected to have a moon zone there.
-
Greedo did not shoot first. Period. End of discussion.
This scene was a classic spaghetti western saloon shoot out. The bad guy made a move for his gun and the good guy got his shot off first. The bad guy dies without firing a shot.
Lucas is full of manure to claim otherwise. -
Black Guardian vs. Q
Unless the Black Guardian has the Key to Time, Q wins hands down.
Adric vs. Wesley Crusher
Which Wesley are we talking about? Pre-Traveler? Adric wins. Post Traveler Adric can't beat a guy that can stop the passage of time with a thought. -
Quote:Do I need to remind people that Doctor Who was supposed to Cross over with Enterprise years ago?
If you bothered to actually read the thread instead of skimming it before posting you would have seen that someone already mentioned the crossover.
Quote:A number of years ago there was a fairly decent (as I remember it) book called The Doctor and the Enterprise, which had the orignal crew meet the fourth Doctor. I think I still have it somewhere. Being unofficial, they couldn't use any names other than the Captain, the Science Officer, the doctor (lower-case d) and the Doctor (upper-case d). At a climactic point, everyone had to evacuate the Enterprise for some reason and they all went into the TARDIS.
Will have to reread that. -
Quote:Gonna have to agree with houtex on this one. This rates right up there with the second Highlander movie./jranger
/If anything ever deserved it, this is the thing, this... abomination. This hideousness. This... THING of unwin.
Don't want to see a Star Wars crossover either. Now I could see possibilities in a Who/B5 crossover as long as the Doctor was kept away from the main storyline on Babylon 5 itself. But even that has an overwhelming chance of failure. -
Quote:No no no no no no no.
7) ant swarm (covers target area in bugs (ants) causing dot damage as well as slow)
Ants have no place in a Ape Mastermind set. It should be Monkey Swarm.

Anecdotal evidence cuts both ways. Neither of us is offering proof of what the devs have or have not said. All you and I have agreed upon is that if something was said on the subject, neither of us saw or heard about it.

Quote:I don't know. I can never get Ustreams to work right. I get frequent disconnections and can't participate. My internet service says it's not their fault, and they've had a tech check the wiring and that's supposedly ok. I've had my systems been checked and nothings wrong there either. So uhm has anyone asked during one of these ustream Q&As? Did anyone ask about a moon zone at the pummit?
I have no interest in a moon zone, but if you want to ask a dev a question and get a response there are specific tools aside from the forums that afford people that opportunity. -
Quote:Then see my previous post for a possible solution to that problem of yours. The results of a survey from 7 years ago? No, that sounds precisely like entitlement to me.
Quote:For all you know, the dev that was spearheading the thing left the company. Or it was Posi's pet project (Statesman's? whoever was in charge at the time) and got back-burnered when War Witch took over, or whoever the hell is even running the show now.
Quote:I don't disagree that it would have been neat to get a dev comment over the years.
Quote:(P.S. can you explicitly prove that they never have?)
Quote:I know I've never heard anything official, or any players claiming they heard anything.
Quote:but they have no obligation to do so, and it's also really not that big a deal in the grand scheme of the game compared to their philosophy of letting some bad nearly-game-breaking bugs get pushed to live.
spray the code with a can of Raid before it goes live and it will kill bugs dead.
Quote:As for why they're not saying anything now, perhaps they have a reason for keeping mum,
Quote:I know it's stupid to hope but they're taking polls for retro space suits, maybe that means they are finally working on the Moon Zone.
Quote:and perhaps you will feel somewhat silly when that reason becomes evident. Perhaps. -
