The thing the OP wants everyone to ignore is that because the OP has a pre-existing account he can't claim that he didn't know all he had to do to reactivate his sub was log into his master account and activate it.
Instead the OP made assumptions based on incomplete information (He didn't bother reading anything about the VIP Starter Kit) which was readily available to anyone with common sense and bought a product he can't use on an existing account.
Now as to why they won't apply the active status to the OP's existing account. He didn't buy active status. If he wanted to buy active status all he had to do was log into his account and:

Nowhere do they ask for a new code when reactivating a subscription.
Instead of buying active statuis He bought an activation code for a new account from the store. He probably assumed it was a new edition for the game like Going Rogue used to be.
There's nothing wrong with the code he bought. It can easily be used on a new account the same way tens of thousands of customers have already used theirs for. So the OP is not entitled to a refund or anything else.
Not paying attention to what you are buying isn't the companies fault.
Edit: Oh and another reason why they won't refund the VIP code. It wouldn't be hard for an unscrupulous person to sell that same code to any number of unsuspecting people, or to an RMT site. -

I wouldn't mind the DFBabies if they hadn't made the help channel completely ineffective for it's intended use. I used to stay in the help channel in order to, well, provide help to those who needed it. Now it's impossible to use it for that purpose.
Other than that they don't affect my play. But the ARE robbing themselves of the rest of the game by mindlessly running DFB. -

The City of Heroes Freedom™ VIP Starter Kit can only be used to activate a NEW account and cannot be applied to existing VIP or Premium accounts.
Good catch. I just checked the OP's post history and this account of his was active back in 2010. All he'd have to do is resub. -

Your asking this after three two remakes of the 1950's sci fi movie The Thing, numerouus Batman and Superman remakes, god knows how many Three musketeers films, Robin Hood, etc etc etc.
And the three films you're questioning in threads, appear to be the best things that will be released in years. -

I love the idea of making a robot with monstrous robot claw legs. But I've noticed that if you do that, to keep the color scheme going, you pretty much have to stick to black and grey. Shouldn't the claw legs be color customizable too?

I want to be able to choose between Right and Left arms/legs, and I don't want to be forced to use a crappy peg leg if I only want one leg.
I also agree about needing more color customization. Not all alloys are steel gray. -

I get what you mean, but I was referring more to, imho, modern Cybermen looking and acting like sentai villains, and in a bad way. I understand what they're going for, a bunch of identical cyborgs moving in lockstep as a frightening idea. But to me it just looks damned silly on the show. I think the more zombie-ish aspect of the Borg, and the simpler costumes, are more effective for hordes of evil cyborgs.
Daleks are another matter. Not a fan of the saltshaker tank design, m'self. *shrug*
