1. How would the players know?
2. Do you have an actual suggestion? -
You'd think people would learn from past failures and drop the in game advertising suggestions.
Remember how advertising on the billboards failed?
1. Nearly everyone turned them off.
2. Only two or three companies ever tried advertising in the game.
So what's next when this fails? Having product placement on the characters themselves?
Do. Not. Want. -
Quote:No they didn't. The game didn't switch to a hybrid business model until a year after that feature was added to the game.Thats what so many people on the fourms said when I suggested if we could have a way to transfer items and influence between our own characters.
Players were suggesting that feature for several years, and no one ever said that the reason email transfers hadn't or shouldn't be added was because the company wanted to make money.
I'm gonna have to ask for links to that thread cuz I'd love to see who said that if it was indeed said. -
You do NOT suck. Praetoria IS harder.

Just dropping this post in here from Darth's other thread in case people didn't see it.
Quote:We never include any popup ads, or even basic javascript functionality in the e-mails.
The most recent e-mail should look just like this, with no popups or non-COH ads.

If you're seeing any non-NCsoft advertising or popups when viewing our e-mail newsletters, it's highly likely due to a third party application. -
I need a shoulder parrot with a bubble space helmet for a Space Pirate idea I just had.

Uhm the record of your account purchases. Besides I'm pretty sure that if they were crazy enough to add this feature they'd restrict it to items that are bound to either your account or character. They'd also probably wouldn't allow items you got from the super packs.

Quote:Damn Zyph, sorry to hear about your health issues. I sincerely hope things turn out for the best and you don't have any further issues with the big C.On a personal level, I found out last week that I have cancer, this week I found out that to remove it I would lose my vocal cords. So I am more likely to be passionate about certain issues this week. I would REALLY like to know why the other thread was closed with out even a note from the mods.
C'mon Devs give the guy a gorram Sash. -
Happy birthday Dink, you're doing a great job on this sci-fi set. As a birthday present you can have Tenzhi as a slave for a week.

The only times I've seen Endurance drain that fast is when I've forgotten to turn off Ninja Run before entering combat.

I really like how well the Imperial and Elemental sets compliment each other.

Wait they could all be ON THE MOON!
Atlantis and these islands could be located on the Moon in the Sea of Tranquility. They could be at war with the Fifth Column who has their Lunar base on the Dark side of the Moon where they have to listen to Pink Floyd music all the time.

Yeah it's interesting but I don't ever see this happening.

Quote:It might help if you post your build and how you have the powers slotted. That way our guru's can advise you on what actions to take if they spot any flaws.Thank you! This was driving me nuts.
To refer to another of the OPs points, I too am a returning player (though I've gone VIP for the moment), and I too am having major problems dealing with difficulty level. It's gotten to the point where I've just bit the bullet and downshifted my difficulty level to -1/-1 because none of my toons can handle 3 yellow minions at once (except my blaster, if my initial sniper shot hits, because that weakens one to the point where I can drop it before it reaches me and beats the psychic snot out of me with his buddies).
I've done my respec and triple-slotted Health and Stamina, so I'm not sure what the problem is, unless I, like the OP, just suck at this game.

Quote:Maybe it's because I prefer soloing but I find redside just as easy as blue and I find that the levels 1-20 are the easiest and quickest in the game outside of Praetoria. I just prefer blueside because it's better at providing the illusion that I'm not repeating the same damn contacts over and over on each new alt.My point was that reside was harder than blueside pre-20, just that pre-20 is tough all over, and you are less likely to be teaming on redside.
Pre-20 is tough because you have fewer powers, less slots, and even if you are slotted, the enhancements are non-SO strength. -
It's not that it's a taboo topic. Almost everyone has done it at some point. The gripe people have is with the small fraction of the power level community that makes a royal pain in the [pancake] of themselves by harassing everyone they can find with incessant requests, demands, and even threats to be power leveled.

My deepest condolences to you, your family, and friends. I wish your father fair winds and following seas on his new journey.

Quote:Uhm, not trying to be a jerk but the hardest pre-20 content is in Praetoria not redside. Redside pre-20 isn't any harder than blueside just more linear. Blueside has a ton more options, and people.Okay... but all the basic ATs can start on either side.
As for the OP, it seems like he's judging the game on the hardest part (pre-20s) and on the least populated side. I doubt this is the typical experience of a returning Premium player.

Only times I've seen rants like that is when someone was pissed the newest hire got promoted over the ranter, and the other time was when someone was given an assistant to train only to learn at the end of training that the assistant was being given his job for half the pay and he was fired.

Ever think that the devs are living in a time zone that's 8 hours behind Europe and were still at home sleeping so they wouldn't be aware that the decision was made to take down all the servers for an immediate unscheduled maintenance rather than letting them run and have a catastrophic crash?
