No there wasn't. City of Heroes has never offered a lifetime subscription. You must be thinking of Champions.
  2. Boy the OP sure is spending a lot of time and energy trying to defend and justify a character concept he acknowledged violates the rules of the game and abandoned.
  3. I had this problem this afternoon. I solved it by rebooting my computer. I won't pretend it will work for everyone but it doesn't hurt to try it.

Good luck OP. I hope you get this straightened out quickly.

Oh really? And exactly how many non subscribers were able to play an account longer than 2 weeks and get higher than level 14 before Freedom launched?

    Answer: None.

You can post otherwise til your blue in the face, it won't change the fact that allowing non subscribers to play at all is providing them with a "taste of what they are missing".

The only thing laughable is the sense of entitlement some people have requesting and in some cases (seen in other threads) demanding more handouts.

Depends. Occasionally they are late, sometimes the devs give two a week or so apart and sometimes they don't give any.
  6. Maybe they felt the changes made weren't significant enough to warrant the inclusion of a freespec.

Wait wait!! They did level boosting on the Beta Server. I demand they do it on the live servers as well!!

I can only assume that this is a conscious decision by the developers because its really obvious why this is the case with the Paragon Market.
This isn't a Free to Play game. It's a hybrid business model with tiered accounts. It's based on previously existing successful hybrid business models.

You hit the nail on the head, the business model is designed to attract new subscribers and retain current subscribers.

And yes the company made a conscious decision to do this. Go figure, a company trying to attract people willing to spend money. What a novel concept.

Sorry, that "you" was meant in the generic sense to whomever is thinking of forming the trial, and not directed at you the OP.

Premium accounts don't have access to Incarnate content, powers, or drops. Only VIP's get access to that stuff.

Did you perhaps mean to say that some people stay VIP for the Incarnate content?
  12. What's wrong with recruiting in a level appropriate zone? Don't want lowbies pestering you to join then don't form in Atlas Park. Do it in Steel Canyon or Talos Island.

You do realize that the purpose of the suggestions forum is to get feedback on ideas from your fellow players so you can fine tune your ideas.

Truly bad ideas get no comments whatsoever and drop off never to be seen again.

I mean ffs you have some people here complaining about paying two dollars for an IO license.
And don't forget the people that are still complaining that Freems and Prems can't use anything in the Super Packs (which is untrue). If they are going to throw temper tantrums about stuff they don't have to pay for if they don't like it, giving them something they can't use as a reward for a mission is a horrible idea.

I'm not concerned in the least, except in that the solo incarnate progression path is much, much, much slower than the trial path.
Well personally I expect the solo path to be significantly slower simply because it's soloing. Then again if solo progression is too slow then it's not worth bothering with and ends up being a waste of time and resources to have developed. There has to be middle ground everyone can live with.

Except GG, she enjoys being ornery and her opinions should be ignored.

Getting stuff a week early is hardly "wonkier" or inconvenient. As long as I get my stuff before or on the date I'm supposed to (the 9th) I'm a happy camper, and the system is working fine.

Only the people getting stuff late or not at all are having a problem and need to petition it. For them the system is wonky and needs to be repaired.

Just like his attempts to accuse people of overreacting and panicking when the truth is that people merely truthfully answered his question and calmly and politely explained the consequences.

Rule of thumb has nothing to do with it. That type of name is forbidden by the company.

If you've paid any attention to the forums you'll know that people have frequently reported getting conflicting information from CSR's. They've even contradicted themselves as the issue gets escalated. So including what level you got your information from does have an impact on what you were told.

And the explanation I was given by those gentlemen works for everyone I collected data from back in October and November
So your relying 4-5 month old information that was questionable at the time because everything was in the middle of being sorted out. They still hadn't figured out if people that bought 3, 6, and 12 month subs were going to get their reward tokens up front or not.

Congratulations! You just met someone that doesn't get his transfer token on the first of the month, but I've never gotten it later than the 9th which is my billing date.
