Quote:The LFG tool behavior that annoys me is when people get the minimum they need, and then sit there trying to fill the group forever instead of just getting the hell on with it. I understand wanting to get a big team, but once you have enough people, just put out a last call to see if anybody else wants in, then stick it in the open queue.
More than once I've seen people spend so much time trying to fill up the team that they could've just run the DFB with what they had.
If you don't like doing DfB's with players that want full teams you can always form your own DfB team. Of course expect to be annoyed when people quit on you to join DfB's that run with full teams because I've seen more than a few people quit DfB teams where the TL was impatient and rushed to start a DfB with less than the minimum to spawn the AV's.
There's a difference between having the minimum needed to start a DfB and having enough members to spawn the leaders Damned, Dr. Meinst, and the Prophet as AV's. Not sure if the team size requirement has changed or not recently but players want to get the most xp out of each run. -
Quote:The "problem" is that people are queuing with full teams and closed teams which they have every right to do.I should clarify my prior remarks based upon the above thread. I misapprehended the term "cross-server" being used here, daaaaah.
Bottom line: When the Queue was introduced, it would combine players from every zone on the server who were in the Queue to make the teams.
Is the current problem that not that many individuals are queuing or is it that the Queue no longer combine folks from all zones on the server?
It sounds like not enough individuals are queuing, but it is certainly possible the Queue is borked. -

Thanks. I didn't know how that worked. I never bought the AE Edition cuz I already had both boosters. I only had suspicions on how it was set up.

I agree with all that too.

Nope. By design, once selected all vet rewards pets and powers are permanent. They have nothing to do with respecs.
Good luck getting the devs to change this. I wouldn't mind making a change or two on a couple of characters. -
What list are you looking at? I ask because it clearly states on list on Paragonwiki that MM's and Controllers are unlocked when you've earned 13 rewards at tier 5.
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Paragon_Rewards
Tier 5 Bonus
- Unlock Requirement: 13 reward tokens earned.
- Owning 13 Reward Tokens grants the following: Access to Controller and Mastermind Archetypes, +3 Salvage Inventory, +3 Vault Inventory, +2 Recipe Inventory, +1 Auction House Slot

Also I think buying multiple copies of the Architect Edition won't get you both packs. Pretty sure it's 1 coupon (or whatever they call it) per account.

Quote:Not sure how buying something off the market that works better than the stuff in game is a bad market experience. The fallout if they get changed or pulled off the market will be a bad experience no matter what they do.FYI, a thread was started yesterday on that subject (you may have missed it):

Ooh Shivans. Now there's a temp power I would buy on the Paragon Market. I loathe stepping into PvP zones for any reason. -

I think you're right. I just counted up the retail boxes I purchased over the years for the perks and they add up exactly to how many months my time is off.

Quote:And then there's a ton of people like me that always sell everything they put on the market for 1-5 inf because we understand that we're getting the highest bid immediately and the stuff that has no bids on it gets sold at the NPC stores. There's a ton of people who sometimes when they check prices just to casually buy salvage for crafting, nerdrage at the extortionate prices, immediately log on their farming alts for an hour or two and flood the market with cheap salvage.
Not that I'm guilty of that.
*cough* -
Uhm, If the teams already full (8 people) how would a person get added to it? Or am I misunderstanding how this would work?
Oh BTW /signed if it would work. -
Quote:I think people are doing it because they don't like Pug teams and/or they don't want random strangers being forced on them when they just want to team with people they know, or they're hosting an event like Tanker Tuesdays, or they don't want people they've 1 starred dropping in uninvited, and probably a few other reasons I haven't thought of.That's the major problem with the LFG concept right now - it's kinda alien to the established 7-year culture of forming teams, then running missions that it's been dropped into - the majority of players are naturally treating it as just another contact, with clicking "queue" replacing clicking "accept mission"/"agree to form a Task Force".

Quote:I'd like to disagree with "A". I believe people prefer making preformed teams, and closed teams for that matter.theres prolly several things
A) poeple are still too used to preformed teams
b) people dont know that you can queue in instances now
c) nobody trusts the avg wait times because they are highly skewed by poeple who participate in choice A and queue for <1 sec -
Quote:Maybe he's related to those British Royal Guardsmen that never move or speak while on duty.In Steel Canyon, an NPC named Colonel Taggard stands before the statue of Blythe Square around the corner from Positron and Valkyrie. He wears a blue military uniform and has a white mustache (resembling Thunderbolt Ross). When I clicked on him, he didn't offer any conversation.
If I recall correctly, Laura Lockhart mentioned Colonel Taggard in her new Issue 22 story arc dialog.
Was Colonel Taggard newly added with I22? Does he provide a story arc, task force, or trial? Why didn't he talk to me? What's the deal with him?

Quote:Not a bad idea, but I'd offer two more alternatives, a second smaller bundle of 10, or they can buy a single token for 80 points. Bundles should be a bargain for buying in bulk. They could make 24 hour VIP tokens for 50 cents each, and sell them in bundles of 30.

Quote:I look at it from a different PoV. I won't buy an LTS from a game after launch because that game is going to have a steadily dwindling number of paying subscribers and will be forced to seek other methods to get money from their playerbase.Any game that I see offering a lifetime subscription that is only available if purchased before launch is a game that I will avoid like the plague. It's a sure sign that the publisher doesn't expect to be able to retain regular subscribers. And those are also the only sort of lifetime subs I ever see advertised.
However I see a pre launch LTS as an opportunity. They're offered in a limited quantity, for a limited time, and most people won't buy them because either A.) they share your view, or B.) They want to see the game live first. That means there won't be a steady decline in subs due to people buying LTS's after launch.
I also ask myself if I think the game will still be running a year and a half later, cuz the usual price of an LTS equals a year to a year and a half monthly subscription. If the game lasts longer than that I got my moneys worth. Being perpetually short on cash, I have to save up for months to be able to get an LTS but long term they save me money. I can only afford a sub to one game regularly and that's this one.
Of course I don't expect everyone to share my point of view and don't blame them if they prefer to be cautious about LTS's. -
Then you knew in advance not to read my posts. You have the option of skipping over them or adding me to your ignore list. You have no one to blame but yourself if you choose to read the posts of someone you were "warned" about.
In either case my feelings won't be hurt.
