Quote:With respect Aura, Praetoria was "dead" long before they opened up the AT's at the tutorial. I remember people complaining the zones were empty as early as Jan 2011, and most of the people that were running in Praetoria were complaining about the difficulty and excessive ambushes.Yeah stories which most new players won't complete, because they will see the zone is dead for an mmo and then re-roll where there are actual other players.
Praetoria was a great idea before they opened up all the ATs AT THE TUTORIAL.
Now . . . it's pointless for teaming. -
No one's forcing us to collect anything. We choose to be pack rats and hoard stuff.

Quote:No it's not. I've worked enough customer service to know there would be plenty of people that would be complaining and demanding refunds because they thought they still needed to buy it as VIP's because the market allowed them to make the purchase.Neither of those help the OP. The issue is that you cannot buy anything that VIP status grants you for free, even if you don't have access to it outside of VIP. OP will have to hope that his VIP runs out before the MM sale.
(Yes, this is ABSOLUTELY stupid of them to code it this way.)
It doesn't matter how many steps and warnings you put in their way before finalizing the purchase, they'll ignore them, buy it, and raise hell afterwards.
Never, ever underestimate customer stupidity. -
Quote:Anyone else notice that that's the same sound Catgirls make when they are ERPing in Pocket D?

Quote:Honestly I can't. Anyone that's created a single character knows that power sets are restricted to specific archetypes and not available to be used by every AT.Well, to be fair, an illusion controller can have 6 pets. Three 'types' of pets, but 6 out at once. I can see how someone might be misled.
I think Rod's right and the OP is confusing Beast Mastery with individual inherent powers like Beast Run, Coyote travel power, etc. And the email in question clearly says that Beast Mastery is a Power SET not an individual power.
It's an honest mistake. We all misread things from time to time. -
Quote:Okay Zwill...which Scotty rule are you referring too? He has a plethora of rules he used on his dimwitted captain.
Scotty: Do you mind a little advice? MMO Players are like children. They want everything right now and they want it their way. But the secret is to give them only what they need, not what they want.
Zwill: Yeah, well, I told the Players I'd have this analysis done in an hour.
Scotty: How long will it really take?
Zwill: An hour!
Scotty: Oh, you didn't tell them how long it would *really* take, did ya?
Zwill: Well, of course I did.
Scotty: Oh, laddie. You've got a lot to learn if you want people to think of you as a miracle worker.
Scotty: Oh, enjoy these times, Geordi. You're the Chief Engineer of a starship; and that's a time of your life that'll never come again. When it's gone - it's gone.
Scotty: Never get drunk unless you're willing to pay for it - the next day.
Scotty: A good Dev is always a wee bit conservative, at least on the forums. -

Quote:You're right, for some reason I read that as "without" using a second token. My bad.The OP said "using a second token"
In that case yes, you can transfer a character back to the original server if you have more than one token.
You can't undo it once the transfer is complete though. If you want to move the character back it will cost another token. -
No more palatable than the $15 bucks the Starter Kit normally costs, and everything that comes with it.
-
Nope. Server Transfers don't come with Mulligans.

1. You can use the in-game method and switch sides for free.
2. You can subscribe, save up your stipend and switch sides for free.
3. You can combine the in-game method with your stipend and switch sides for free.
4. You can use your stipend to switch one way for free and buy a token to switch back for just 800 points.
5. You can use the in-game method to switch one way for free, and buy a token to switch back for 800 points.
6. You can buy two tokens to switch sides twice for 1600 points.
It's entirely your own fault if you choose to use the most expensive method to switch sides. -
Quote:I got past that by looking at the film from the perspective of what a war propaganda film from the 40's would look like if they had our modern technology.Book? There was a book?
Half the fun of beating on the movie is the ludicrous signature commercial inserts. They practically were Verhoven's signature in films for a while.
Back in the WWII they'd have buy bonds advertising and stuff going on before and between films, so I can imagine the commercial sigs being believable in the world of Starship Troopers. -
Quote:You're not. Loved the book which is why I was at first disappointed with the first movie. Turned out to be a good flick tho, despite what that idiot Paul Verhoeven did to it.Please tell me I´m not the only one who has actually read the book
Edit: One of the things I found funny about the first movie was the criticism it got from some people about the films political environment(?) compared to our democracy, and I ask myself did any of those self righteous morons actually read Heinlein's book before opening their stupid traps? He explained how it came about. -
Respectfully, I don't recall your post in particular but if it was anything like the other F2P threads then most of the arguments being made (maybe not by you) to justify the predictions that the game would go F2P were based on claims that the game was doomed and dying, and doom posts are always met with derision and dismissal in games with healthy a subscriber base.

Both are true but this also ranks in the top ten even tho the Doctor never says a word.

Quote:Which is sadly why it will probably never happen. A bunch of other games with point systems work the same way, if not indeed all of them (Wii Shop, Cryptic Coins, I think XBox Live; just to name a few).
I gotta say I don't really like Cryptics focus on selling points. They focus on selling round numbers of points and as a result have goofy dollar amounts like
$6.25
$12.50
$18.75
I'd much prefer
$5
$10
$15
$20
$25
$50
$100 -
This. I have crafted items that I didn't place while a member of one SG and still had them when I joined another. And SG's don't lose vet reward items that have been placed just because the person with the vet rewards quits the SG.
-
Then I'd say it's time to contact Customer Service/Billing and tell give them the message from that Senior GM and let them confirm what you purchased and either get it unlocked or get your points/money back.

Quote:The system is supposed to affect everyone differently because everyone has a different billing date. You should be aware of that because according to your post history you posted in the same thread where Zwill explained how it works.they need to fix the system as its broken in more than 1 way and affects everyone differently
Quote:The monthly Paragon Reward Tokens are awarded differently. They follow the same schedule as the old Veteran Reward program. This means you may not receive them on the same date that you receive your monthly VIP Paragon Rewards Points. Veteran rewards were calculated based on the time your game account was actually playable with active paid game time, and not just based on your bill date. Just as a temporary block changed your Veteran Reward dates, these types of things changes to your game account will also change the date you receive your monthly VIP Paragon Reward Tokens. You also have to play out the month of game time before receiving the tokens. You may pay for time in advance, but you have to play out the time before you receive your next reward.
Thanks!

I think the OP is saying he never got the token for Dec-Jan when the account expired, and if that's the case he needs to contact support and stay on it/escalating it till he gets it.

Quote:I had an idea while shopping for SO's at the Vanguard Quartermaster this morning.
Separate the Origins out by Tabs, like the tabs for Contacts. That way, all you have to do is click on the Tab for your character's Origin, and bingo, all the Enhancements right there, sorted by level.
/Signed!!!
This is long long overdue.

/signed for the APP expansions but I would pay for an expansion to the regular power pools as well. Just some generic low damage sets to help round out character concepts.
