Right now, we're getting something new every time a T9 costume set shows up, because they're all new. But two or three years down the line, either we're back to the old Vet Reward problem, where new players had almost no chance of getting the items on the distant horizon, or we're in a situation where long-term vets very rarely have anything new show up for them.
As long as the items remain VIP perks I have no objection to them being made available earlier in the Reward Tree or being sold in the store to VIP accounts. The Prems can buy a months VIP access if the want the rewards.

And under the current system it is impossible for rotating Tier 9 VIP rewards to be anything like the old Vet Reward scenario. Nothing is preventing brand new players from spending money to unlock Tier 9 access and getting the rewards as they rotate thru as soon as the oldest Vets get them. Furthermore the long term Vets have access to the new rewards as soon as they are added.

    Wrong.

Only the VIP's that were subscribing when the shineys were added to the T9 Rewards would get to play with them for a year. All the VIP's that unlock the T9 Rewards after they were added will have less and less time to play with the shineys as time passes.

    Seems fair to me.
Yeah not seeing the fairness in this at all unless the costume pieces will only be purchaseable by VIP's once they go into the store. The only reason they are VIP restricted to begin with is because they are an incentive to subscribe, even if it's only for a month. Putting them in the store for anyone to purchase defeats the purpose of them being VIP rewards.

    Now look at this.

I see a few people stating that they paid $100-$300 and even more just to get up the reward tree to get these costumes. They call my proposal a slap in their face because others would get these items cheaper and easier while they were able/had to devote their resources o get that high up the Reward Tree to get them. Some of them even say that they don't mind if down the road these items come in the store, as PS is currently hinting at.
Well.. my issue with this statement/argument....
If people can buy these in the store for 400-800PP, how does your argument hold up?
I don't know about the other points of view but my argument holds up fine. The Tier 9 VIP rewards are for VIP's. They shouldn't be sold in the store unless they are still restricted to VIP players.

If a Prem wants them he can sub for a month and get them, if he refuses to sub tough turnips he gets to do without.

This isn't an issue of spending money. Everyone spends money to get Paragon Rewards, either by subbing, paying cash up front, or a combination of the two. The issue is about the rewards being restricted to people with active subscriptions at the time of unlocking the Tier 9 VIP rewards, and if VIP's should be allowed to get them earlier than Tier 9.

I didn't read what he posted as trying to rob other players ability to create the kind of costumes they want, but as the ability to control what he sees on his computer. What difference does it make to you if someone uses a filter to screen what shows up on his monitor? It doesn't affect you costume or gameplay.

And a subscription. If I'm reading this right you have to a VIP as well.

So while I don't care if they loosen the restrictions on those rotating tier 9 costume rewards I don't object to keeping them for VIP's. If the devs let the Prems get everything VIP's get without subbing they'll have no incentive to subscribe.
  7. Glowing is fine, but I'd much rather a feature that allowed us a list of tattoos to choose from and the ability to place them anywhere on the Avatar with a X-Y-Z control axis.

Give us the control to move them up, down, left, right, rotate them and make the larger or smaller. Like the company that originally created this game did in their space game where players boldly go into the final frontier.

I don't believe that at all. We have so many seperate costume pieces that are "animated" these days that I no longer believe the excuses the devs gave us in the past.

Like when they removed our ability to have female characters with both wings and bolero.

I think you are confusing terminology. SG membership has no impact on joining teams.

I believe what you wanted to say is that you can't be a member of two SG's at the same time, which is true.

    /This.

Now I do hope the devs can eventually design a great PvP feature for our players that enjoy that stuff, but whatever happens I want to be able to ignore it exists. I don't want to experience what I get in some other games where some twit is following me around spamming, "Duel Me!!!"

Uhm neither Beast Mastery nor Staff Fighting use every power animation in the game, which is what would be required to add a new body type.
  13. Yes we want it, but it's most likely not a priority.

Not to sound cynical but since buying the pieces seperately cost over 1000 points I doubt we'd see the pack offered for only 100 points more if it was offered the rest of the year. More likely at least 800 points.

Yeah I would have much preferred to see them offer the Toga stuff but they put out the Roman pack instead which I wanted more.

Edit and now that I think about it... why can Rogues access VG bases in Paragon city base portals, and Viglantes access SG bases in the Rogue islands?
Because it's a special ability that is only available to characters in the process of changing alignments, and is part of the compensation they get for what they give up being purely Hero or Villain.

Two - that the spacing on the pepperoni looks wrong because (at my work, anyway) the commercials show uncut pizzas, and the cutting moves them around.
Ever notice that the commercial pizza's also look a lot bigger than their real life counterparts? That's why I prefer mom and pop pizza places over national chains.

    Concept Build?

There's a huge difference between a "concept" build and creating a character that's a useless leech. Especially when we have secondary builds that we can use for any extreme "concepts" and still have a decent build for team play.

I'm looking at the useless "Healor" builds I've seen. In particular I'm reminded of a 40+ Emp that only had 1 attack and just the heals and res from the Empathy set. The rest filled up with non combat powers from the power pools.
  19. I'm sorry to hear you didn't realize that it was for a limited time when they clearly advertised that it was only available from February 7 to March 6, 2012. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your point of view it will be released again, next year.

This is one of the holiday event packs that will only be released on the holiday it was made for. It would defeat the purpose of making Holiday Event Packs if they released them all year round.

Good luck on your request tho, maybe they'll reconsider.

Hey what a great idea! The devs should give all the RMT accounts VIP access which will then become Premium access so they can piss off our player base with spam on channels and emails they went to great lengths to keep them out of.

And on top of that they can lose out on all the money they could have earned from Free accounts upgrading to Premium.

    Uhm /unsigned

The game would have to be down for 72-144 hours nonstop before it would equal 40-80 points.
