It's just like the Mission Teleport that came with the Mac/Valkyrie Edition/pack. The only difference is that when activated a vehicle shows up and provides a TP prompt for 4-5 minutes to all teammates.
-
The devs already tried allowing players access to powers from all builds back before the game launched and scrapped the idea because it was too powerful.
-
If it happens I'll be thrilled, but I'm not letting them get my hopes up anymore just to be disappointed. Just like I'm not letting the space suit costumes being designed get my hopes up for the Moon zone the players said they wanted in that old survey the devs put out several years ago.

Quote:I said "most" players not all. Of course the term "Most" also applies to the number of players blueside. If you're redside you usually have to wait until a friday/saturday night for DFB or until a new powerset comes out. Otherwise you're only going to be in a team with tumbleweeds.

Nope. I think most of us are too busy doing DfB/DiB's to outlevel the contacts that would send us to them.

Quote:I'm tremendously in favor of this. I find it completely unreasonable that other players should want to limit my SG membership based on what they consider appropriate for their roleplaying purposes. If you don't want cross faction members, fine, don't invite them. That's an in character thing, and it should be left in character. Supergroup and base functionality should be a tool that can be utilized by anybody however. It's the same as the Influence/Infamy/Information split. We merged the auction houses, and what do you know? the world did not come to an end. There's no justifiable reason that guild functionality can't share the same cosmopolitan functionality, if/when they ever get around to overhauling the mess it is now.
Just an FYI, the players aren't limiting your SG membership based on what they consider appropriate roleplaying, the DEVS are. The players were never consulted on this issue. -
If you are soloing your team size is 1. The power works on everyone on your team.

Memphis Bill called this one in his response to the ever popular "Can i has a car" threads.

One way to have them "somewhat" work.
For all that, I know some people *would* still like to pull up in front of a mission. So how do we do it?
A temporary power, based on the same tech from the Mac/Valkyrie pack Mission Teleporter.
How does this get around the various issues?
Terrain - It doesn't pass terrain. It just arrives.
It follows the same 'rules' as the mission teleporter - it's not indoors, doesn't go to contacts, etc. Just mission doors.
Customizing - It's not "your" vehicle. It's a temp power. You've called a cab, limo, or other transport.
Power animation - since you're skipping the space in between, no powers can be used 'til you arrive anyway. -
Quote:I don't know what AT's you are referring to but my Controllers never been insta-killed by mobs they have in their hold/immobilize combo. For some strange reason when I have NPC's held they seem unable to attack me, and I pick them off at my leisure. Of course I don't wait around for my hold/immobilizes to wear off. I have them slotted for fast recharge and keep them stacked on the mobs until the they are dead. This may speak pretty badly of my personality...
But whenever I'm tanking and someone gets overzealous with their powers, I'll let them go at it, get insta-killed by the spawn, and THEN go about my normal tanking moves. :P
Getting their rear handed to them typically helps them understand that they're doing something wrong.
Then I boot the player that's been goofing off for being a lazy mooch instead of getting in there and participating with the rest of the team. -
Quote:The way it used to be? They always played this word game with the SL rank. They use the SL rank to stay out of internal SG politics by stating the SL has the final word and turn around and deny popular SG/Base requests by claiming they need to consider the impact on the individual SG members and blah blah blah. They just avoided being blatant about it before now. It's shameful.they need to back the truck up and go back to treating Super Leader the way it used to be. Let's be honest--that was a cop-out answer that flies in the face of GMs and CS ever since SL was introduced.
Quote:include offline invites with the offline promotion/demotion.
They are dead set against adding anything that makes managing solo SG's easier. -
It's better not knowing. All it does is get people frustrated when they decide to ignore the results. I still recall them telling us the results for what the players said they wanted next zone to be and here we are several years later and they still haven't added that zone to the game.

Quote:Thoroughly enjoyed the scene of Stark talking to Loki as well as the reasons for that scene. Also as Stark described the team and mentioned "a man with breathtaking anger issues" Loki's smile at that statement and the audience laughing was nicely timed.
Also enjoyed the scene as Cap gives everyone their orders for the big fight. Hulk was the last one to receive orders and it was simply this:
Cap turns to HULK and says "And HULK.......!" Hulk looks at Cap for his orders and Cap just says, "........SMASH!" Hulk just grins, leaps into the air and proceeded to carry out the only order he needs. SMASH!
Also, be thoroughly prepared to roll in the aisles with laughter at how Loki is defeated. Not his grand scheme mind you, I mean Loki himself. You'll know it when you see it
Loki's defeat was HILARIOUS!!! I wouldn't have been surprised if we'd seen little birdies circling his head.
Oh and my next favorite Hulk scene was when he sucker punched Thor. You KNOW which scene I'm talking about.

Quote:Hey don't worry, none of us are perfect. (especially me.Yeah... I'm not going to claim that I have no faults in this situation, and yes, I really should have elaborated, but I was making the same point those who responded to my post did, even if it doesn't appear that way.

Quote:1. Individual players don't need inf sinks, the game itself needs them to drain off the overabundance of inf in the games economy. You need an Inf sink? REALLY? wow....just...wow. Ive been playing for years and I very rarely have above 250mil.
2. If you never have more than 250 mil available it's because you're doing something to get rid of it. Spending it, giving it away, or converting it to prestige.
I play casually, make heavy use of SO's on most of my builds, never buy/craft anything more than basic IO's when I'm ready to slot IO's, and I've never sold anything on the market for more than 1 inf and I have no trouble hitting the 2 billion cap when I'm not converting the inf I earned to Prestige. I usually convert each time I hit 100 mil.
Quote:If you need something to sink your inf into, then stop fleecing people on the market and stop gaining such huge amounts of inf for no reason!
Furthermore the market is driven by what players are willing to spend, not by what some idiot is willing to overcharge. It's the "gottahaveitnao!!!'s" who are responsible for the market prices. If players would be willing to place reasonable bids and wait, the sellers would be forced to drop their prices or watch their market slots fill up with items that never sell. -

If you bothered to read the thread I was not the first person to provide additional facts that you failed to include in your post, nor was I the last. Thanks for misunderstanding what I said and inadvertently agreeing with me.

Quote:Well I'd be happy to help you tip them so send me your extra money. I still haven't gotten the black doggie. You know there are a lot of people out there who run their websites based on the on the "tip denotations" they get from people sending them money via things like PayPal. I've often found myself wanting to "tip" Paragon Studios above and beyond what I pay them with my subscriptions. To me Super Packs have now become my straightforward way to sent them a few extra dollars here or there whenever I think they deserve it.

That pretty much sums up the devs position. They have flat out admitted that even at it's height of popularity no more than 10% of the player base has ever bothered to set foot in a PvP zone or the Arena, and sadly for the minority of players that enjoy PvP those numbers put that feature at the bottom of the priority list.

Quote:I'll email ya the link. I'd hate to see it get modded or deleted because the old OP named game names which might be a violation of current forum rules now.Quote:You also get a free transfer = $10 value.
So, as of right then you are buying 400 points and a server transfer and playing for free.
If you then add in the free access to power sets that Premiums have to pay for (Time Manipulation, the Dark sets, and Dual Pistols, Electric Control, Demon Summoning, and Kinetic Melee if you didn't buy Going Rogue). Those are $10 each.
The SSA's are $10 each, VIP gets those for free as well. If you wanted to play all 7 of them as a Premium it would cost you $70.
With all the stuff you get for free as a VIP that you would otherwise have to shell out money to get, they are effectively paying US to play. -
You do realize that that isn't the only thing VIP's get, right? And you do realize that many VIP's sub in advance so their monthly subs can be as low as $11.95 so even if the only perk was that $5 dollar value that is actually just less than 1/2 our sub fee not 1/3 of what we pay.

As others have already pointed out your request has already been added to the game. Simply buy the Aura unlock for 160 points and you can use the Auras at level 1 without using any capes.
-
Even worse their devs programmed an annoying admin message to appear in the middle of your screen whenever someone receives one of the uber rare prizes.
Not in the chat box.
Across the middle of your monitor!!!
@Soandso has just received a Thingamabob!!
There you are trying to play the game and you keep getting distracted by those damn messages that can't be turned off. -
What I find funny are the mental gymnastics both parties have gone thru to justify the validity of their over developed sense of entitlement, and how quickly they resorted to insulting everyone that pointed out the massive holes in their arguments.
