Loki knows Earth is the home of Thor's love interest. (There was scene where Fury and Coulson talked about how they sent her into hiding) If he conquers the Earth he can track her down and use her to get Thor to surrender and kill him. Most likely after using her to torture him. Thor's death would torture Odin and could send him once again into the sleep which would further weaken Asgard and make it more vulnerable to attack.

Quote:This is one of those topics the devs have repeatedly said will not happen. We again asked the devs just a few months ago about offline SG invites and we were told that if they ever added such a feature they would deliberately code it so we could not send invites to our own characters on the same account.Agreed. Now if they would give us a way to invite our own alts to a SG (without needing someone else or creating another account) that would be the terrific--How about 'SG Invite tokens' that we could mail to our alts?
Sorry for the slight thread-jack. -
Uhm, Just want to point out that your logic here is faulty. Paying a subscription does not give you the right to make suggestions in this game. Everyone that plays the game has that right bestowed upon them regardless of whether they are a paying customer or if they play for free.

No that 5 person minimum stupidity is reserved for other MMO's. Our devs wisely chose not to inflict that imbecilic bs on us.

At least we finally found out why Hulk is angry all the time. We learned when he fell out of the flying aircraft carrier and lost his pants that the gamma radiation made every muscle in his body bigger except one which in comparison look significantly tinier.

I knew a guy in the Navy that was brought back and was dishonorably discharged almost 10 years after he got out of the service because his paperwork wasn't done right and he wasn't "legally" discharged.
He got a civilian lawyer to fight it but I don't know how it turned out.
I know another guy that got sent to Captain's Mast for getting sunburned while out doing small boat ops. The charges were for being out of uniform and destroying government property (his skin).
The application of the UCMJ can be messed up at times but still be "legal". -
Quote:Yeah but if we go by the movie he was legally a deserter because he chose to crash the plane to get out of a date with a smokin hot babe he was scared of getting involved with, during wartime.Indeed. Legally, it would be equivalent to someone who had been in a PoW camp for many years after the end of a conflict.
He could have safely ditched the rest of the rest of the bombs in the ocean.
He could have turned the plane around.
He could have flown back to Europe.
He could have looked for a parachute.
He could have tried a water landing off the coast of England, France, or even the US.
He could have tried landing the plane while being talked down over the radio.
They shot deserters back then so at the very least now he should get tossed in a military prison and dishonorably discharged.
Of course that's "if" we go by the movie. -
"Sleeping on the job" implies he was goofing off and being negligent of his duties. The circumstances for his being on ice were unusual but it's not like he deliberately crashed the plane in the Arctic to get out of going on a date with a smokin hot babe. There's no way he could have turned the plane around and ditched it in a warmer climate near Europe, or even been talked down into a safe landing over the radio.

Uhm ... err .. nvm. -
Does this SG/Coalition have their own Global Channel? If so it wouldn't really matter how many solo SG's you make, you'll always be in touch with the SG/coalition. The only thing to remember is that your different accounts would each need to join the Global Channel.

Quote:It was the Dance Battle that was too much for me. I'll admit Cap and Black Widow Jitterbugging looked cool, and Hulks break dancing was funny, but I just couldn't accept Loki and the aliens river dancing.I don't know, I thought Loki's musical number was a bit much.
-
Quote:Nothing. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army and wouldn't have gotten paid anything more than his military wages.Odd thought:
How much would Cap have earned in 1944/5 from public appearances and merch? Mostly he would have donated it, but if he stuck them into Liberty Bonds that are as yet unclaimed and have compound interest...
...could he buy a reasonable chunk of Stark Enterprises with that? Or at least a Cap-Cycle and some gadgets? -
Quote:People that want to play with friends on different servers make characters on those servers that they can play ahead of time. They also make use of global channels, friends lists, etc so they can easily keep in touch with each other.Server Transfers cost money because people want to play with friends
Quote:the LFG system will only allow teams for Trials and T/SF's not for casual mission runs, @Samuel how hard? have you seen their set up? done this before?

Well I can't and won't speak for everyone but I recall trying to change colors a while back to white but the system at that time wouldn't let me. Since then I've gotten used to the baby poo color.

Wait, Goober's last name was Pyle? Damn, I had to google it but I never realized Goober and Gomer were related.

Quote:Nice to see they got that working for those that want it off. A while back we couldn't turn it off at all.Interesting. No, it looks like all VIPs were swapped over to gold by default, but there is an option to turn off the gold. So it's the other way around (and most folks seem too lazy to do anything).
(Occasionally freebies will see themselves as gold name, which allows them to post in non-access places, when the account server doesn't sync up correctly to the forum.)
EDIT: Best way to see if VIP or free/preem: click their name and see if you can PM them. Only VIPs can get PMs. -
Quote:You mean like this?I still think they should have described this in the store. It's not the first time I've bought one thing and found out I have something else.
Instead of blaming the market, why don't you just admit that you made your purchase from the product list (pictured below) without bothering to read about what it was you were buying.
-
Quote:From what the devs told us we don't have control over the color of our forum names. Also, white name = a VIP that hasn't updated their forum name display preference. Assume nothing.
Quote:Hi all,
The official City of Heroes Freedom forums will be down for a maintenance between 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time (1:30 p.m. Eastern Time / 6:30 p.m. GMT / 19:30 CET) and 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time (5:30 p.m. Eastern Time / 10:30 p.m. GMT / 23:30 CET) on Thursday, December 1st, 2011.
Following this maintenance the skin issue will be fixed and all VIP usernames will display as gold.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Quote:I was on that account last around the beginning of March so I'm guessing it was a bug that luckily let me grab some large Insp's.I went Premium shortly after Freedom launched, and at that time, my purchased insps were being reduced to the largest I could take. Now that you mention it, I recall the patch note for the fix that prevented you from buying things you didn't have the Tier reward for. As a random guess, I'm going to say that you getting the Large insps must have been an attempted fix that happened somewhere between the two. Or maybe a bug, since I think the removal from the vendors was more than "a few weeks ago".
