In order for this idea to possibly work, one of the things that would have to happen is Paragon Studios would have to give Titan Network access to the back end of their game in order to make sure the interface works properly.

I shouldn't have to explain why that is HIGHLY unlikely to happen.
They could also buy the program from it's creator. Not likely to happen, but they did go to a third party vendor to get that god awful market feature.

But then that brings up another question. Since they didn't create the Market feature themselves, do they have the legal right to make changes to the market programming in order to add such a feature as the OP is suggesting?

Only way I could see this happening is if the devs created their own versions of both the Mids and the Market and replaced what they currently have with the new product.

You know the stuff that over 90% of the player base uses including tiny percentage that still PvP's.

Uhm Mids Hero Creator wasn't created by NCSoft/Paragon Studios so odds are unlikely they will devote time and resources to this. You might want to suggest this to the people at the Titan Network because I believe Mids is a player created program.

the game has never been easier.

if you want harder, create a free character (no vet powers) and do some old vahz missions at level 4.
Or unlock Praetoria and take that same character there.

That's not gonna happen so just forget about it.

    1. Terrain issues

    2. Strafing

    3. Every single existing power and all future powers would have to be redesigend from scratch to work from a sitting position.

Flying avoids the terrain and strafing issues, and detoggling all powers negates the issue of having to redesign every power in the game.

And we all saw what happened to PvP when the devs tried "fixing" power so they worked in a different enviroment.

Actually they could easily allow travelling underwater "BUT" not place any NPC's in the areas that allow underwater swimming. When a player gets to where he's going he enters an airlock that takes him to an area where he can use his powers.

As for the rest of the underwater zone the devs could use it as an opportunity to design and implement some non combat mini games.

    exploration badges
    hidden/secret rooms
puzzles with a variety of solutions and an RNG so players don't always get the same one over and over.

    a. Learning that players ignore them.
    b. Players actively use /hide to avoid them because in this game the majority of players consider that behavior rude.
    c. Account restrictions prevent them from unlocking the full potential of their accounts.

So I regret to say the people ya'll are referring to are a completely different subset than the ones I'm talking about.

You seem to be under the impression that "fix" only has one definition. To "fix" something also means to have it neutered or spayed. Which is exactly what was done to PvP in I13. So yes the devs did indeed "fix" PvP.

I already have plans for an alt named "Pink Lemon Aide" A (Water/Emp) vigilante 11 year old that wears pink clothes, heals the injured, and punishes bullies with "yellow" lemonade blasts of Justice.

Now if we could only get the devs to make a Cookie "shield" I could make Pink a girl scout companion.

That's a perfectly valid decision for them to make, but if they choose not to do that the only petitionable thing would be an offensive or copyright issue name.

  17. The only minor irritation about this new set is that it isn't available to Dominator's. I would remake my alt the Aquatic Geomancer in a heartbeat.

I was thinking of a Bubblebath Avenger (water/FF def)cleaning the streets of crime.
  19. Come back? It was never popular to begin with. The devs admitted that at it's height only 10% of the player based ever set foot in a PvP area. It was never popular outside of a tiny section of the player base, so it's no wonder that the devs have given fixing it a low priority.

Sure I feel bad that the PvPer's suffer because of this, but the devs are going to focus on the areas where the overwhelming majority of players want to participate in.

Not sure where you are seeing any whining being made after the OP's post. I see some explanations and also some light hearted sarcasm by people that enjoy these threads as much as I do, but no whining.

I think you are projecting your own feelings into what you are reading.

I can see the Hulk and Loki doing a French Apache Dance.

Carry a little pad and pencil with you. You'll wind up with thirty or forty names by the end of the day.
Look at it this way: Think of how stupid the average person is and then realize that half of them are stupider than that.
And it doesn't take you very long to spot one of them does it? Take you about eight seconds.
You'll be listening to some guy...you say..."this guy is pancaking stupid!"
Then...then there are some people, their not stupid...their full of pancakes.
That doesn't take very long to spot either, does it? Take you about the same amount of time.
You'll be listening to some guy..and saying, "well, he's fairly intelligent......ahhh, he's full of pancakes!"
Then there are some people, their not stupid, their not full of pancakes...their pancaking nuts!
