Persnally I've done the initial Habashy and then switched over to Twinshot and outleveled the stuff that ends with Thiery's finale so that's why I mentioned it. (I admit my mission difficulty was set higher and I was using an XP boost from the Super Packs when it happened)

I also wanted to give the OP the wiki links that had the information he couldn't find.
  2. Of course if the devs really wanted to ientify free players they could program a non combat pet to follow them around saying,

    "Danger, Free Player.
    Danger! Danger!"

    j/k

Yep. I also remember when we got access to all the SG badges regardless of faction.

That's how I got that pair of Scorpion's Surprise Turrets for my Hero base

The wiki does indeed tell you more than jack squat. As you can see here

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Matthew_Habashy

the Wiki tells us that Matthew Habashy introduces us to either Officer Fields or Sondra Costel. Completing their story arcs introduces us to Aaron Thiery.

Now if you didn't take those contacts when they were offered and instead outleveled them by focusing on Twinshot's story arc, you can't get them back because you are now too high a level.

You can get more contacts by going to King's Row and checking in with your assigned Detective (Becktrees or Freitag). Now as Memphis Bill has explained doing the radio/saeguard missions will unlock the next contacts.

Character concept is what motivates me to buy a non combat travel power.

I have a Native American themed character that uses the panther power.

I have a stage magician that uses the flying carpet.

and I have a character based on the song "Surfin Bird" that uses the rocket board.

Being able to round out those concepts with appropriate powers is worth the expense in my book.

This is working as intended. It is done because the animations and effects of other powers active while using the can make odd things happen while using these powers.
I'm sorry to disagree with you on this Rod, but that isn't why the powers are detoggled. Clockwork O1 explained why they made the decision to detoggle all the powers in this post.

This is not a simple request, it is an exponential increase in time and work for every new animation that is put into the game.

  7. Costume suggestions should be posted in Dink's thread "All Things Character Art" since she is the dev that creates costumes now.

  8. Bases are pretty much a dead issue. Yes we all want changes and improvements but all we get is the run around from the devs.

At the Summit, I asked a certain person about the debilitation of group functions for bases, and if there would be any development for superGROUPS, the answer I got was something along these lines:
The base community is such a niche group, and we wanted to open up those perks to everyone. We're really looking to make it so everyone has the same accessibility in the game, not just a small community.
When I mentioned that making bases more functional for a GROUP might make it less of a niche, and more interesting for the social aspect of GROUPING, thereby making it more appealing to more players.... The person I was talking to just sorta shifted uncomfortably in their chair and muttered platitudes about "keeping an eye on it".

Yeah... I know when I've been blown off.

    .

Why is this? I supect there's a couple reasons.

    1. The dev that created the base code has long since left the company and the current devs are aware that even the lightest changes to the current system has unexpected catastrophic results.

    2. Much like PvP the base population isn't large enough to justify continued development from a business tandpoint.

And this last bit is just my opinion, but I think we'd be better off if the devs ripped out the old fragile system and developed a new base feature that included the player suggestions an personal lairs. They could probably sell it on the Store or at the very least base packs/upgrades that allowed players to customize their bases with decorative themes.
  9. They can but it's most likely they don't know they have that ability.

But the OP can also ask them to respond in the LFG channel which was recently made available to free players so they could communicate that they were looking for teams and wanted to join teams because they don't have access to sending regular tells.

They are the ones with the extra pets, and it's all the extra pets that can cause people with older or less powerful computers to lag out and crash. Yes I kow SoA's can also get pets but they are far less popular than MM's and Controllers.

I'm pretty sure it was the failure to appear in court that got the warrant issued, but that can also be blamed on her not updating her current address.

Of course there's plenty of examples of law enforcement overreacting.

But it's 5 whole minutes!!! Do you have any idea how long that is? It's like 300 seconds. That's 600 half seconds, or 1,200 quarter seconds. It's 3,000 tenths of a second. It's like for-ever!!

    Okay.
Considering I have 47 slots filled on Justice right now, no it's not enough. Also do you really care how many alts a person has on a given server? They can only play one at a time per account.

Surely not returning a book and movie is not criminal behavior that you need handcuffs and a jail for?
She avoided the paperwork for being fined and appearing in court by letting the Library believe she lived at an old address that was years out of date. Neither the Library nor the courts had any idea that she had moved or where she had moved to. They can only send the paperwork to the address on file. This is America where it's citizens can change residences whenever they like and it's also their responsibility to keep their change of address information up to date.

Also the cops only arrested her because they were investigating a disturbance at her current residence and they learned from doing a check on her that she had an outstanding warrant for not appearing in court that was a year old.

The cops arrested her for not appearing in court. Why she had to appear in court isn't relevant. The library, the courts, and the cops did what they were supposed to.

/This. Sounds more like user error than a bug to me. Of course it's far easier for someone to blame the game than admit they aren't using the power correctly.
  17. I'll happily pay to unlock more slots.
  18. I like how the people complaining about what happened gloss over the facts.

The police were investigating a disturbance at the womans house when they learned she had a warrant issued for her not appearing in court to address the fines she owed for not returning the book/DvD's.

And the reason she never got notification of the overdue fines or warrant is because she never upated her personal information with the library. She allowed them to believe she lived at an address she hadn't lived at for many years.

This is what cracks me up GG.

And what are you getting for certain when you pay for your cable TV? Do they give you a guaruntee you'll be getting specific programs at specific times and it will never change?

Or are you just paying for viewing access to random programs that can be rescheduled, interrupted, or cancelled without consulting your personal preferences.

Before we get started letÂ’s review the ground rules:

    1. Gotta keep it real: Ongoing development is always the highest priority, so my ability to respond to posts will also be limited. If you don't get a direct reply here, don't worry, I will try to read everything that appears in this thread.

2.Patience is a virtue!: Posting on this thread won't necessarily expedite that special part you've wanted forever, but it'll at least keep it on the radar. We're always striving to give you guys what you want, but that comes in two flavors: variations on existing stuff, and brand-new stuff that expands the game into exciting new territory. Though we try to honor older requests, it has to happen as a part of overall development.

3.This is why we can't have nice things: Certain things just aren't on the agenda, and why dwell on those when we could be talking about all the awesome stuff that you get instead?!

    4. Rein it in there, cowboy:Let's try to keep the dialogue measured and constructive. It's helpful to know what you like and don't like, but play it cool, y'know?

Some of the other Character Artists may pop in here from time to time to answer some questions ^_^

    Have at it!

I'm not *against* it, necessarily, just acknowledging it would be quite labor intensive, and we'd lose out (or have delayed) efforts elsewhere, such as in new power sets, to pay for it development-wise.
