I was disappointed this morning to see 54 posts and all of them had answered the stupidity already
[/ QUOTE ] At what point do we cross the line from answering the stupidity being part of it?
[/ QUOTE ]
That line was crossed a long time ago by our society. How else can you explain why people love watching real live tragedies? -
[ QUOTE ]
Bunch of hypocrisy thus far. O yeah! Use the system the way THE PLAYER base sees fit! Oh, no no no! Not that way! You are leveling too fast and angry old man and angry old lady can't find a team because their entire SG left i13.

The WAAAAAAAAAH! is strong in this one Obi Wan.

They're making me play by the same rules they apply to everyone else in the game! The big MEANIES!

[ QUOTE ]
And yet people are being threatened by the Devs for creating/running missions that they want which include but are not limited to farm missions.
[/ QUOTE ]
No they aren't.
Positron actually said this.
[ QUOTE ]
Players that have abused the reward system egregiously may lose benefits they have gained - leading up to and perhaps including losing access to the characters power-leveled in this fashion.
Players who knowingly use an exploit when creating an arc, run the risk of having access to MA suspended, or worse- depending on the severity of the action, their account banned.
Q) If I powerlevelled a character, am I going to lose them?
A) Probably not. Only the worst of the worst, exploitive, powerlevelled characters will be removed from the game.
Q) What about all the farming and abusing that goes on in the normal game? How come you guys dont put a stop to that?
A) We address rewards abuse all the time. We put timers on missions that could get reset for rewards. We take rewards off of critters that are considered exploitively farmable. Or we just change the mission. Merit rewards are another way we have handled the situation. You cant run really fast stuff over and over and get a reward every time. Again, we are looking out for Disregard for the risk and/or time to reward ratio, and we take action.
[/ QUOTE ]
Farming and powerleveling aren't banned. Using exploits and abusing the reward system is. -

This game lacks end-game content. Put an AE building in PI, Grandville, and the Rikti War Zone. Make AE building accessible only to level 50 toons. That's all.
[/ QUOTE ]
/unsigned
1. AE arcs are made by the players not the devs. So you can't ask the devs to force players to make content they don't want to make.
2. AE stories can be made in any zone, for any level, for any faction.
3. You are free to make your own arcs. So if you want level 50 missions, go make some. -

Markets?
Why doesn't it surprise me that he doesn't realize that the market is cross server?
Damn Sig beat me to it. -
You'll get a quicker and better opinion if you ask this in Technical Issues. That's where the computer whizzez hang out.

I want a bug free game. I pay for it and things should be fixed.
[/ QUOTE ]
We want a Brewha free game. We pay as well. So heres a compromise. You give us what we want, and we'll get rid of the bugs. That way everyones happy.
If you don't want to compromise then you'll just have to put up with the bugs. -

If you can find the folks who speak Spanish and want this, grab them and make an "unofficial server". The Aussies have one, I believe.
However, remember though that the game isn't going to get a new server for fewer than 10% of their actual player base unless they can really prove that it's warranted. I know several South American players, who pretty much learn more and more English as they use it in the game - it IS an english-speaking and english-oriented game. I do see your point (living in a border town, I know) though I don't know whether it's really warranted.
It should be something that I'd hope they would look into for demographics, though. Maybe you should send this to Niv or Amatea and have them pass it along to the Marketing guy? They'd know best.

You don't even know ow much you contradicted yourself.
You want Co-Op in Pocket D... But get this, "Why should a player be punished if they prefer to solo AE content?" If they want to solo they can solo, they would need the accolade to do it in the D or they could go to any of the others in pretty much every City Zone.
If you go to Pocket D you could get on a team with someone who has the accolade and do AE content. If you want to solo, you can go to one of the other zones.
As far as the badge for 100 plays on your arc, you can do that yourself, I got it in 45 mins. And not only that it is global once you get it. (1 mish arc, 1 glowie, bar/speakeasy map) You don't need ratings for your arc, just plays.
As for you that are inputting on my thoughts, not going to reply there, I just don't see it and that is how it is.
[/ QUOTE ]
No. There's no contradiction at all. I'm not being selfish and only thinking of my own wants and desires.
I said I wanted an AE terminal in Pocket D. That doesn't mean that I can't see why other people might want to be able to do co-op AE missions as well. There is already RP justification for it.
You say the Rikti invasion justifies having a co-op AE in the RWZ, because it's a threat to the entire world.
I pointed out that Snaptooth trying to stop the passage of time itself thru out the entire universe is at the very least just as big a threat to the world as the Rikti are.
By supporting the people that want co-op AE terminals, I get their support towards getting AE terminals that anyone can use regardless of team size.
Bypartisanship at it's best.
Writer's Badge - Badge is received when 100 other players run any of your published mission arcs in the Mission Architect.
If you are getting that badge by playing your own arcs then the badge is bugged and needs to be reported. It clearly says other players. That means playing it yourself shouldn't count towards it. -

I wish I could find the spoof I wrote for Moderator 08 based on the song "Secret Agent Man"
Moderator 08 Man! Moderator 08 Man! They've given you a number and took away your name.
Maybe he saved it and will post it if we ask nicely. -
They could make Niv and Mod 08 GM's in the new zone. And one of their powers could be if you get killed while trying to take them down, you get kicked from the zone and you can't re-enter for 3 days, and they get a little yellow title that reads " I've been modded".
If you defeat them you get the Modslayer badge. -

It's not 'punishing' freedom and virtue people, since they are still getting what they always had.
[/ QUOTE ]
Telling people they are not entitled to the same rewards for playing the same content based on their choice of server is punishment.
It is also a great way to lose customers. -
[ QUOTE ]
They are already being punished as it is... by playing on Freedom and Virtue.

Let's make something perfecty clear. There is a reason people flock to Freedom and Virtue.
Brewha is on Guardian. -

The Night Paragon Died
Daddy was a cop on the east side of Paragon
Back in the U.S.A. back in the bad old days
In the heat of a summer night
In the land of the dollar bill
When the town of Paragon died
And they talk about it still
When a Skull named Knucklebones
Tried to make that town his own
And he called his gang to war
With the forces of the law
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Paragon died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Paragon died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
And the sound of the battle rang
Through the Kings Rows old east side
'Til the last of the Skull gang
Had surrendered up or died
There was shouting in the street
And the sound of running feet
And I asked someone who said
"'Bout a hundred cops are dead!"
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Paragon died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
I heard my mama cry
I heard her pray the night Paragon died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
And ther was no sound at all
But the clock upon the wall ......
Then the door burst open wide
And my daddy stepped inside
And he kissed my mama's face
And he brushed her tears away
The night Paragon died
(Na-na na, na-na-na, na-na-na)
The night Paragon died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed!
The night Paragon died
(Na-na na, na-na-na, na-na-na)
The night Paragon died
Brother what a night it really was
Brother what a fight it really was
Glory be!
The night Paragon died
(Na-na na, na-na-na, na-na-na)
The night Paragon died
Brother what a night the people saw
Brother what a fight the people saw
Yes indeed! -

My only real request to this idea is that the actual mission selection terminals be put in a room with power suppresion to minimize frustration caused by AoE powers and buffs. Each AE building has one such room.

How about we share credit.I think Snap was the first thing that popped in both our minds when we first read the suggestion.

I'm referring to the Writer's badge that's required for the accolade. A player needs 100 people to play his published arcs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless somethings changed, you can get it by playing your own mission 100 times.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's also a timer on rating your own missions. I forget exactly how long you have to wait, but it'll take weeks if not months to do it all yourself.
I have published 1 arc, and at this time no one has tried it yet. I feel no need to make anything else and I have no desire to advertise the one arc I did make. -

They are still restricted areas. Your wanting to require people to have an accolade in order to use an AE in the D is just as much a restriction as what I suggested.
Why should a player be punished if they prefer to solo AE content?
I'm referring to the Writer's badge that's required for the accolade. A player needs 100 people to play his published arcs.
Using that accolade will punish players that have no desire to create arcs and then further restrict it to the few creative players that happen to be skilled or lucky enough to get 100 people to play their arcs out of the of thousands of arcs sitting unplayed in the MA.
On the other hand we have several examples where players have done a quick arc and unlocked features in the game.
The stores in Brickstown and Founders Falls
Costume slots
Cape Mission
Auras
Vanguard Merits

This is not the section of the forums you are looking for.
*Waves hand again*
The Suggestion and Ideas forum is that way. -
What if a player has no interest in making arcs, he just wants to play. He should be punished and not allowed to use an AE if it's in Pocket D? That accolade is too restrictive a requirement.
Now I don't mind it if players had to get a mini-arc from DJ Zero that they needed to complete to unlock access to an AE feature in Pocket D.
That kind of makes sense. He already has areas in the D that have restricted access. He only grants permission to use it to his patrons that have proved themselves trustworthy. -
