I highly recommend getting the Good vs Evil edition, because I believe the jump pack is the most useful goodie.

That being said if you decide you want the goodies from the other editions I strongly recommend you buy the full editions rather than the goodie pack. This is because the full edition gets you a free months subscription added to your account. Those free months are worth $15. , so you are in effect getting the full edition for $5. bucks.

The Booster packs are goodie packs that contain unique costumes and powers that aren't available and follow a theme. So far we have the Wedding pack, Magic pack, and Cyborg pack. They can be ordered thru the NCSoft online store.

Please be aware that of all the servers Freedom and Virtue are the most heavily populated and during special events they usually hit the population cap. That means you will have a hard time logging onto those servers.

You might want to consider starting out on one of the lower pop servers or at the very least make some spare characters on one or more low pop server so you can still play the game when (not if) you are locked out of Freedom and Virtue.

You can already do that by simply rolling up an alt with an almost identical name.

It's a combination of both the jaded vet and the assumption that every MMO is a mad dash to get to the end game content, with a sprinkling of "got to have it now" envy when they see all the things those level 50's can do.

Yes, and when you get to that airline and your told you've been bumped because your flight was overbooked you get to sit there and stew in your frustration while everyone else accepts seats on alternate flights and enjoys their trip.

That idea sounds like it'd work great for all the people who have all their characters on one server. They could spend the whole exp event making new characters on a new server that they won't want to come back to until next exp event.

I think it'd be fun if everyone was just locked out of their primary server every exp event. That way, everyone can scramble around in the nonsense trying to figure out what server to play on. And having to make new characters (or spend money on transfers). And ending up only being able to make insubstantial progress during the event because they're unable to play their main characters.

I also think it's a great idea to expect people who play on a server that works 99.99% of the time, except during high-volume events, to just abandon that server during events -- the times when most people would actually be wanting to play their characters most.

Why would they need to spend any money on transfers? Have you forgotten the Mission Architect?

Using the AE it is now ridiculously easy for anyone singly or as a group to start over on a new server, and in the time we have before the next 2xp event, have several characters, tons of influence. A small group of friends can even have a decent size base.

So I didn't solve their problem, the devs did when they released I14.

Clearly the solution is not adding expensive server hardware.

It is, in fact, selling priority access to those willing to pay. Just like a first class airline ticket or priority seating at a concert or "express lines" at a theme park. Makes more money for NCSoft, just like Booster Packs. Gets a perk for those willling and able to pay for it, just like every other business.

The important fact you can't seem to comprehend is that while businesses can charge more for Priority customers, they make their profit off of everyone else.

Unless the OP or someone in the SG says something, we will never know.

No the OP isn't trolling. Every 2xp weekend we get dozens of threads just like this one making the same unrealistic demands, and accusations that everyone hates Freedom because no one will bend over backwards to kiss their butts.

Last time we even had one genius suggest that Freedoms overpopulation problem would be solved if the devs merged the low pop servers into the three high pop servers.

They can even use the Mission Architect and run AE missions to get their new characters up to any level they desire before the weekend arrives.

They can also use the tickets they'll earn to finance slotting the new characters.

Since I14 none of the whiners have any excuse for not being able to play the game next 2xp weekend. Well except for laziness and or stubborness, but they'll have only themselves to blame for that.

You can easily have several characters on each server at any level you dersire long before the Double XP Weekend arrives. You can also use the tickets you get from running those AE missions to make several million at the market and use it to slot your new characters.

OK, this one is simple. You guys have announced double XP weekend. We have been through this several times now, and we all know that Freedom and Virtue will be completely full. Freedom will probably crash once or twice under the load.

There will be complaints from everyone who can't get logged in, or that the lag is unbearable. It will be twice as bad in Atlas with the new AE system.

So, add capacity now, even if its only needed temporarily, before everyone gets frustrated and hacked off. Make this a FUN experience for once instead of a giant hassle.
