I was just thinking the same thing a few hours ago. I think the Arenas would be a great place to add a training room. It might also spawn some new interest in trying the other features there.

If the OP wants an aura "power" so badly he can set up a macro that does what your describing and turn the aura "off" an "on" with the click of a power icon in his tray.
  4. I agree with the little girl. The weeping angels scare the Water Blast outta me too, and there's only one thing . . . err two things that can make me feel weak kneed and stupid, err I mean safe.

We've all seen how popular railroading players into linear mission progression is with City of Villains and Praetoria.

Pre-Freedom we at least had the illusion of variety blueside. Got sick of the contact missions in AP? Hop over to Galaxy City for a change of scenery.

Not trying to be offensive Klaw but you weren't farming right then. Long before IO's were aded to the game

Anyone with a fire controller was assumed to be a farmer
    Demon farms were popular
    Tanks doing dumpster diving
Before we could adjust mission difficulty farmers would recruit door sitters to spawn larger mobs for them to farm by themselves
People recruiting for TF's and kicking everyone from the team after it started so they could do it solo.

    - Do believe phased players in PVP can attack each other... or at least that got to beta at one point. (Haven't run into it... hmm, ever, that I can think of.)

    - Removal of (most) simul-clicks from missions. (may be a few out there still... /bug them. Not the case for task/strike forces.)
    - Calvin Scott TF (and old Posi, old Galaxy, etc.) being added to Ouroboros.
    - Solo/small team Incarnate content. (Yes, the first reaction of the devs *was* "we didn't think you wanted it." It's in one of the video panels. They were actually surprised.)

I agree, with the caveat that they should only put stuff out that's not a buggy mess.
Yeah I'd rather the devs not cut corners in a rush to get something out.

Actually I prefer it if they have a routine for releasing new stuff on the store. I just want whatever routine they use to be regular. A regular routine lets me plan ahead.

Personally I like to keep at least 800 points available. A regular routine allows me some time to figure out a way to get more points if I want to get something new that might be more expensive as soon as it's released. A fluctuating routine (4 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 weeks) is irritating because it's harder to plan ahead.

And while I don't doubt everyone woul like new items as soon as possible, if it's too difficult for the devs to put something new out, for example the first Tuesday of each month, then by all means make it every 6 weeks.

    Adding a tram isn't simple.

A tram requires clearing a space in the zone for the train building.

Then adding the train station in it's place.

Then designing and placing the rail system the train will move along going into and out of the zone.

Adding tunnel entrance/exits in the war wall

Coding the movement of the train along the path of the rails.

Then coding the spawn points where players will enter and exit the train.

That's also not considering the additional work that would have to be added in Skyway City so the train actually looks like it's part of the rail system. Or hadn't you noticed that when the train goes into a war wall in one zone that is net to another there's a corresponding tunnel an rail system on the other side.

Never said that that wasn't the case.

What I said was that this isn't a case of them "taking a week off". The current schedule they appear to be following is to release something brand new every three to four weeks or so with various sales and rereleases going on inbetween as filler.

An established routine isn't taking a break for a week.

  17. 1) See Aett's response.

    2) See Aett's response.

    3) In PvE it doesn't matter. I have less than a dozen characters that are completely IO'd out, and none of them use more than basic IO's. The highest level IO's on those characters are 30.

So I frequently find myself on teams where I'm not only using just SO's, but many times my SO's are red because we are leveling so fast. And I have never once been accused of not carrying my own weight. Cuz I can almost always be found right up in the thick of mob combat even if I'm on a squishy.

The only time being purpled out ever matters in this game is during PvP and that's been dead for years.

Did you actually bother to read any of the requirements for those "fifty other ways" to get the Entrusted badge that your implying a level 14 character can get solo?

If so please explain how a level 14 character can get into Recluse Victory which requires characters be a minimum level of 40 to enter the zone.
  19. Taking a week off? I'm sorry but this isn't the first time they had nothing of interest on a Tuesday. For a couple months now it's been old stuff on sale, old stuff on sale, old stuff on sale, something new and cool, old stuff on sale, old stuff on sale, old stuff on sale, something new and cool.

And that's exactly how dual/triple builds currently work. Your second and third builds are the exact same level as your primary build and vice versa. This idea would let people level up one AT/power set to 50 and then instantly level bump the second or third build up to 50.

The devs would have to rip out the current build feature and redesign it to stop the builds from automatically level bumping. As far as the devs are concerned it's much easier to simply say roll up a new character.

By 'detoggle' powers I'm referring to things like the rocketboard that shut down all your active toggles when you click on them.

Meh. You'll get faster results if you drop this idea in Corva_NA's Power Icon thread.

He and other players have been making custom power icons for the game for years.

Hey I'd use it in a heartbeat myself if it was added. I'm just acknowledging that it's one of the few frequently suggested topics the devs have never wavered on. So far.

Really? Then why do I get that power all the time whenever I open booster packs? NVM. I somehow overlooked the "without dropping some cash" part. Sorry Ad Astra. I've been spending Paragon Rewards.

Yes after claiming 99 charges on one character I still have 545 waiting to be claimed in my inbox. (I was curious to learn what the cap was on how many I could claim.)

So you believe waiting 2 months to get new content for free is worse than pre-freedom where subscribers had to wait over a year to get newly released content for free? Cuz that's how long after release we waited for City of Villains and Going Rogue to be included for free with our subs.

Personally I'll take the 2 months.
