Quote:/unsignedCould we get more options for the 12 and 33 month veteran's rewards?
Specifically, the 33 month reward. (I almost always pick Sands of Whiff for 12 month.)
I've got a Natural origin scrapper who's a superspy and neither the Blackwand nor the Nemesis Staff really fit the concept. Any chance of choosing some kind of Assault Rifle or Rocket Launcher, instead?
Those vet reward power choices are permanent once selected. Any changes like that will only screw over the vets that have already earned those rewards and made their selections.
Now if you want to suggest a new temp power selection as say the 72 month reward that's different. -
Actually, no it can't.
I did not say the problem the OP was having was on his end. The only thing I said was that I did not experience any mapserving, nor did I see anyone complain about any mapserving while I was online. All I saw was the normal comments on lag which occur every 2xp weekend.
Judging by the responses here and in other threads where this topic has gotten mentioned very few people experienced any problems
If you had bothered to read the thread instead of apparantly picking one post at random to get snarky with you would have seen that, however that type of behaviour is probably too much to expect from someone posting on an internet forum. -
Quote:Again the main reason for this request is that many people love to role play their character and the Origin concept can change from time to time.
And if you want to say that it is not important, then I will point my finger at power customization, no affect on the game play, totally concept reasoning behind it.
Rich the Concept Guy
I can understand the desire from an RP point of view. I choose my vet rewards and origin temp power based on RP reasons.
Do I see the character using throwing knives or a mystic charm. Does he or she have the ability to channel darkness and use Sands of Mu and the Black Staff. -
Quote:Was anyone else as disappointed with the outcome of this 2xp weekend as I was? Server populations were quite low (I never saw freedom or virtue over yellow). Freedom at least, was down saturday morning, and whatever problem they were supposed to fix during maintenance, didn't get fixed. Freedom was incredibly laggy, and people were mapserving left and right the whole weekend. I was also really counting on people coming out of AE and playing this weekend as well, but since AE was giving 2xp too, everyone was just farming more than ever. Usually, I'm very psyched about 2xp weekends, but this one just didn't feel the same.
I had a great time. Sorry to hear you were disappointed. -

I say we should drop some atomic bombs on the RMTers then blame it on that little lunatic in North Korea.

Quote:Unless you are sitting in a chair right next to the OP you have no idea if the problem he says he is having is on his end or not.Stop saying it's on this guys end. It's not. Take a look at the tech forum. There are multiple threads there about the mapserver problems. I know quite a few people in addition to myself who have been having problems with the Mapserver. The problem is on NCsoft's end.
So stop acting like you know where the problem lies. -
Haven't see or heard anyone complaining online about being mapserved. I've just seen the usual lag complaints that occur every 2xp weekend.

Quote:Feel free to use the ignore feature that way you won't have to read our posts and your dainty sensibilities won't be upset. This is my first post in these forums, and allow me to express my disgust with how you people are acting.
OP lays down a problem, be it in an esoteric way, but to express to the developers and the perpetrators that enough is enough, and I share his view.
How does that give anyone other than a moderator the right to start reading the rule book and ruining this thread with a page long argument about whether he should of posted at all.
Start acting like you have a brain and use your common sense. Advertising... hah! -
Quote:And I am to interpret the lack of a level increase as a bad thing... how exactly?Quote:

Why? What does raising the level cap actually do?
Let's say we raised the cap to 60 tomorrow. Here is a list of things that would NOT be included:
More power selections.
More Slots to allocate.
More Inspiration slots.
Why? Because those things are already at a point where players can do nearly anything.
We do have some tricks up our sleeves, but they don't involve changing the level cap. -

Don't see the need for an Origin respec. The only thing Origin affects is the temp power you start with (throwing kives, tranq dart, taser, mutagen, charm) and who your initial hero contact is. Redside it only affects the temp power.
/unsigned the devs have better things to do. -

Who said that first? I can't remember, but I think it was Winston Churchill...
Was it really Winston Churchill or the guy that did the Winnie the Pooh voice when Winston was too drunk to speak on the radio? -

But if you want to, my dad still says he's cuttin off the light (which is doubly weird when he says to cut on the light) and it's comin up a cloud...
Some redneck called up looking for a number in "Var-Say-Lees" KY. Being confused with his pronunciation and thick accent I asked him to spell it. His response to my request was,
"Var-Say-Lees! Don't ya'll know whar the Nazi's surrendered in World War One ya <f-word-in> idjit?"
I was a little insulting in my response.
"First off, The city name is pronounced Ver-Sigh, not Var-Say-Lees.
Second, the Nazi's didn't surrender at Versailles in World War One. The Huns did. The Nazi's surrendered in Rheims, France in World War Two.
And finally it's not a good idea to curse at the person your asking for help. Have a nice day." <click> -

Quote:Damn. That sucks TD. I hope you get it straightened out without too much difficulty.I'm more aggrivated because the forum software won't let me use the avatar I've used for a long time. Simply because the path has a ~ in it. I can't do anything about that my webhost had the accounts setup that way and the old forum software didn't have an issue with the tilde. Grumble now I'm going to have to jump through hoops just to post it to an image sharing site. ::grumble::

Quote:You consider that dying?
Try being on most of any server and it always only having 1 of anything.
Besides, most RPers that I've spoken with are excited about Champions Online and going there.
I'm laughing at all the whiners that have been complaining about the price of booster packs and threatening to go to CO, and now their furious that CO is going to have more microtransactioons than we have here.
Oh and whats so great about a game that only lets you start with 8 character slots? We start with 132.
