  1. I couldn't find anything like that on my Prem accounts. Just whether they were active or not.

But yeah, don't really wanna read/watch this. Seen the concept way too many times for it to interest me anymore.

That presumes I believe the threat is real, which I don't. Or that if I could be convinced it was real that I still wouldn't be willing to disconnect because I believe death is preferrable to losing my freedom and being a guinea pig.

An amusing moment in the anime was when the dev made every avatar look like the player. So the classic male playing as a female to get good loot for free from other players turns into a male. Resulting in an awkward situation.
Still not a problem. Where I live worst case scenario is I'd be "trapped" only until my family "needed" me to do something "important" and they'd physically disconnect me so they can yell at me for ignoring them.

If I was living alone then worst case scenario I'd be stuck until my utility and internet services were disconnected for lack of payment.
  4. Unfortuantely we won't be getting anything added to bases anytime in the near future.

    Why?

    1. According to the developers the base code is an unholy monstrosity and any attempts to change it tend to end up breaking stuff (like base defenses being hostile to you a few issues back).

    2. The developer that created the base code failed to document what he was doing, and he no longer works for NCSoft.

This has left the devs unwilling to do anything at all to bases except the least amount possible to maintain the feature as it is.

None of the players are happy about this.
  5. I don't see the devs deciding to add a feature that would allow players to turn multi-player content into something that could easily be abused by solo farmers/power-levelers.

Cool, then to me the trailer doesn't seem too over the top. We're just getting highlights from half a dozen episodes.

Basically what I'm envisioning is a setup where all items are moved into permanent storage and the old bases are deleted (with prestige being refunded). When you start your new base you can place a "Permanent Storage Access" item for zero prestige in any room which will allow you to remove items from the permanent storage area (but you can't add more items). Once that is setup it's pretty easy to leave it as a legacy item even once most people have removed their stuff.

Who is putting stuff into that special storage tho? The players or will it be done automatically?

If it's us then we will still have the "I didn't know" complaints.

If it's done automatically will it be sophisticated enough to,

    1. maintain previously established security settings
    2. take into consideration SG's that use creative bases editing to wall off storage bins from SG members to give some members extra personal storage

    For some reason I've a feeling there's a third example that I can't remember.
  8. Am I wrong in guessing the trailer has stuff from all the episodes?

If I'm going to the effort of deleting the game from my system I don't think I'm concerned about my character "dying" as far as the games concerned. I'll have beaten the game because it won't be getting anymore of my "money". The only way the game wins is by keeping me interested enough to give it money.

Whatever solution is decided upon there will still be someone complaining they "lost" stuff because they weren't actively playing when the changeover is made.

That is why I mentioned a "grace" period of 6 months to a year (personally I prefer a year because that seems to me to be more than a generous amount of time especially now that the games F2P) for players to get their affairs in order.

To me the "how" isn't as important as the amount of time allowed to get items moved over. A generous allotment of time cuts the legs out from the inevitable "it's not fair, I didn't know" complaints that will happen.

One way it could be done would be to give people with existing bases "credit" towards building a new base and a period of time to transfer everything from the old storage to new storage. Say 6 months to a year.

Sure there will be people complaining they didn't have enough time or they didn't know the old system was being replaced but ya gotta draw the line somewhere for the good of the active players.

Whattya mean I "can't" log out? If I have to I physically disconnect my internet connection, reboot my computer an uninstall the stupid game. Screw them I "can't" log out.

  14. -Base trasfer between servers

Been asked for for years, and the devs have made empty promises they were working on it.

    -Convert prestige to influence

As has already been said Prestige gets converted to Inf not the other way around.

-invite to SG via email for characters offline or same account

The devs have flat out told us if they ever created an offline SG invite feature they would deliberately design it so we can't send invites to characters on the same account.

    -storage for influence

    You can currently store

2 billion inf on each character
    40 billion in emails and
2 billion on each market slot with 50+ market slots available for over 100 billion

So it's highly unlikely you'll ever see inf storage added to bases.

    Wizard Bundle

I hate pointing to a certain other super hero MMO that was created by the same company that developed this game before they sold it to NCSoft as an example, but they successfully created ankle length dress/robe costume pieces that don't look silly with any of their powers.

If the devs at that steaming pile of bat guano can do it why can't our devs? Our devs are smarter, more talented, better looking and sexier than the people at that other company, and it's common knowledge this game is much more successful finacially than they are.

    Just sayin.

I'm not saying what you proposed is in any way a bad idea, but wouldn't be easier if instead the devs made those unique badges that can't be earned again account wide rather than character specific. That way players won't feel they are losing those accomplishments.
  18. Let's see. The average character has 100+ enhancements slotted on a level 50.

Unless a player has bought all the extra enhancement trays he can only pull 10 enhancements off of a build per respec.

So that means it would cost the average player $110 bucks to strip a build of it's enhancements, $220 bucks if he's using 2 builds, and $330 bucks if he's using the third build he unlocks with Incarnate content.

On top of that he'd have to pay whatever ungodly fee the devs decided to charge for the actual power set/AT respec.

Even the players that spent $80 bucks on the extra enhancement trays couldn't spend enough money to make this idea profitable for the devs to develop if they were willing to do it, which they aren't.

    Quote:
Something like a handful of merits or a recipe if you do the same bank more than once.
There are already unique rewards awarded for completing bank missions more than once. The rewards for multiple completions are badges.

No the devs aren't going to give out reward merits for bank missions because of the fact that they are so easily farmed.

Recipes already drop during bank missions. Players have a chance of getting a recipe each and every time they defeat an NPC.

    Quote:
Even another temp power would be ok.
Players can already get 27 different temp powers for completing bank missions.

9 for each different zone map
18 for preventing the Arms Deals

So I'm sorry but I don't see the devs adding more temp powers as rewards.

We all understand that you like to farm and power level. Lots of people do. There is nothing wrong with enjoying that playstyle.

    However,

The devs are not going to screw up the risk/reward ratio and ruin game balance just because you personally desire rewards that aren't commensurate with the challenge you are facing.

If you want reward merits without having to get them from doing the appropriate content then go buy some Super Packs.
  22. I'd also love Paintdrumming as an emote. Each time you use it it does a random color.

  23. You are not going to get reward merits for completing radio/safeguard missions. If you wish to focus on the easiest content in the game so you can power level your way to 50 you'll just have to do without Reward Merits/etc. If you want the types of rewards that drop from TF's/Storyarcs/Raids/GM's then you are going to have actually do that content. The devs aren't going to unbalance the rewards for radio/safeguard missions

Recipes already drop from defeating NPC's on radio/safeguard missions. If you haven't gotten any it's because the RNG is random.

No, everyone does not like radio missions, because it gets mindnumbingly boring doing the same missions over and over and over. Many people also hate certain maps that constantly pop up on the radio missions.

There are plenty of teams forming for regular content, and there are plenty of reasons why someone can't find teams.

    1. A player might be on a low pop server.

    2. A player may be online during off peak hours.

    3. A player might be playing faction that has a smaller player base.

    4. A player may not be a member of the global channel community.

    5. A player may be hanging out in zones that don't have a lot of regular content. Hanging out in AP means you'll mostly see AE farms and DfB's.

    6. A player may be lazy, standing around waiting for other people to form teams.

    7. A player may find himself 1-starred and /ignored because he rubbed too many people the wrong way.

    Just to name a few.
