Nothings stopping you from moving your characters to other servers other than your unwillingness to buy some transfers.

That happens all the time. Villains spent years getting no content. PvP spent years getting no content. Players that don't do incarnate stuff got no content.

It doesn't matter what the MMO is about there will always be people that won't use the new stuff being added to any game.

What?!? Form their own league? Are you nuts? What kind of crackpot talk is that? Players have better things to do with their time than stand around getting people together to do a raid.

Exactly. And you wouldn't be griefing him if you did it. That's what the notes feature is for. A tool that let's you screen the people you meet in the game so you can play with people you like and avoid the people you don't like.

And if you are doing a raid and the queue teams you up with someone you one starred you can kick him from the team with a polite explanation that the team is private league and you don't need his assistance.

So I'll ask you this. What advantage is there to the player base as a whole in not allowing leagues to "lock" themselves given that:
    1. Leagues can queue as a full size league to get around the lack of a lock
    2. The league leader can kick extra members if they desire providing another way around the lock

If a group of people want to play as a private league they can already do so either by forming a full 16/24 man league or by forming a short league and kicking any adds. However, kicking adds is rather rude to the person being added so why not provide a way to allow the league not to need to do it?

Hamidon and MS Raids are a different situation. There is no zone control at all so a league does not have the option of removing unwanted members.

I agree with you. Just because a few people want to be selective about who they team with doesn't mean that everyone will form private leagues. It takes a very harsh person to assume that everyone will do that.

Okay this is different than what I thought it would be. The OP has actually given a reasonable reason for asking other than the usual "I don't want to pay for a transfer" or "I missed the previous free transfers and that isn't fair".

So while I won't be surprised if we don't get any I think this would be a great way to encourage mutual migration between the EU and NA communities.

The team leader wasn't griefing. No one should be forced to team with someone they didn't invite. In fact the devs have gone to great lengths to give players the tools to screen their potential teammates. Or have you forgotten about the Notes feature and the ability to one star players you don't want to associate with?

So if a group of players want to form a private league for their SG members, Coalition members, private global channel members, Furry group, RP group, PvP group, whatever then that's none of our damn business and we have no right to tell them they can't.

Edit: I'm sorry to find that I am disagreeing with Arcanaville on this. I hope we are cool about having different opinions.

    Sgu 5/2

There's a whole lot of stuff they could have salvaged from the other Destiny if the writers hadn't insisted on having the ship falling into the sun while they rushed to grab whatever they could carry.

I don't recall seeing anything like it which is why it bugs me. Hopefully if the girls eyesight returns they'll use the excuse that there's a previously unknown filter that kicked in to minimize the damage. If it actually gets resolved at all.

The last thing you want is to begin conflict to decide who 'obtains' you for their side or zealots trying to assassinate you as an opponent of their religion.

This is why I want omnipotence. I can just (figuratively) snap my fingers and illness, disease, genetic defects are gone with just because I wish it so and no one is the wiser. Global Warming? Gone. Animals on the verge of extinction? Not any more, be fruitful and multiply. Clean energy sources that aren't harmful to the enviroment? Done. Asteroids/Comets heading towards the Earth? Not anymore. Terrorists? Go play on the Sun. Understanding how women think? Hey, there's some things even omnipotence can't fix.

Can't put an implant in the brain or perform a lobotomy if it is located in the area of the brain controlling the power. Controlling the patient with an implant that causes severe pain would be far less risky. Although, the patient might be able to teleport himself and not the implant. Why take a risk in destroying the power, when there are far more effective methods to controlling a person like greed or national pride. Also, the patient has to be completely drugged through the entire procedure or they would escape.
Very possible explanations but they don't address the other part of my response where the person with the power may be killed by people wanting to keep the power from being used against them. If the person with the power is seen as a big enough threat it's very possible some may rationalize that destroying an entire city is acceptable collateral damage to eliminate him.

Hi Beast. Just out of curiosity is there any reason why you guys can't do the name changes like I asked below? It's okay if you don't have an answer tho.

Oh nevermind probably a dumb idea.

Being able to do "10 at a time" was probably far beyond what they expected anyone would ever need originally.

I agree it would be nice if respecs were updated to reflect the realities of the evolved game we are now playing. But for the time being I'm going to be assuming that's not going to happen.

I remember how prior to IO's how respecs could leave a character broke with powers unslotted until they managed to earn enough inf to fill the gaps. So back then being able to pull 10 enhancements off of a character you were deleting and reuse them elsewhere was a godsend. Now that we can make inf hand over fist at any level (I have yet to have a character that didn't have 1 million inf by level 10 just from selling drops, and many times they get 500k just from selling the Insp they get in the tutorial at level 1), and we have several different ways to get the enhancements we want (Drops, Market, Merits, AE tickets) I don't see the devs changing their minds.
