No I'm putting personal responsibility on the customer. If a company establishes methods to keep its customers informed and they make the choice not to use them they can't blame the company when they miss something.

If they choose to put blinders on they have to live with the consequences.

They are aware that the forums and the main website exist when they create their accounts and choose not to use them. Same goes for choosing not to set up email, twitter, or facebook accounts.

(And Ironblade can attest that I have agreed with him that their email system sucks for the players that do choose to use it. )

Not using them is a personal choice and the result is that they are willfully ignorant of current events affecting the game. So when they miss out they have no one to blame but themsleves. Being responsible for your own choices is a wonderful thing, but if it makes you feel better to paint me as the bad guy for telling it like it is, be my guest. It won't stop me from enjoying the game and taking advantage of any ongoing and future sales and events.

Bill and the others are right. The I20 Incarnate stuff is less than a month old and the "new" hasn't worn off it yet so almost everybody with 50's is grinding the hell out of them.

Global channels are a great way to meet people online and get teams. One that tries to help people on all servers is the Mentor Project.

How many times have we encountered SG's proclaiming themselves to be and have the best everything only to find out that they are nothing but prestige puppymills and when new members join they are given threats that they are required to contribute "x" prestige each week by any means necessary or they will be blacklisted by the "SG" community and other BS.

Ironblade I stand by what I said that willful ignorance is no excuse and in my opinion lazy in the other thread but please don't post lies. I never said anything derogatory about their personal hygene. You are a better person than that.

And players can simply click on the little button at the top of their updater that says "News" and they'll be taken right to the main website where they announced the sale on May 3rd.


But I will say that I'm glad to hear that the OP is privy to NCSofts confidential marketing decisions and can say without a doubt that he knows for certain that marketing has no special plans to go along with the merging of the server list, and they just aren't keeping it for a surprise.

I'm going to assume that this is in response to which vet reward it will be because there will be people that don't like the idea of waiting for 84+ months to get it.

However it makes a perfect vet reward as it has absolutely no effect on gameplay.

Call it sloppy if you like but that's my opinion of anyone that complains about missing a sale or event when they can't be bothered to check the sites provided them to keep them informed.

Oh and "lazy" is me being polite. After 15 years of customer service my actual opinion of them is much more colorful than our forum rules would allow posting.

The fact that the majority of players are too lazy to get off their butts and check the announcements on the forums, or the main website to keep informed on what's going on in the game only means that they have no one to blame but themselves when they miss out on sales and events.

Private functions can be held in any public setting even outdoors and no one calls the people hosting the functions rude or jerks when uninvited people crash them. Try crashing an outdoor wedding, birthday party, or family reunion for example in a park and see if you aren't the one being the obnoxious jerk.

Just because an event is being held online doesn't invalidate it's privacy, and your dancing around, and desperate attempts to come up with excuses and justifications only proves you know your argument is flawed and you don't really believe in it.

You forgot paying rent but since rent is so low it's laughable to be concerned about it.
