Quote:They are actually getting rid of the boosters when Freedom launches. We will be able to pick and choose what we want and buy them with Paragon Points. Players will buy points that they can then spend on items in the store.Oh well there's the answer to my problem. Can't they just create a Complete Items Pack. One pack with all the boosters rolled into one so I can buy them all at once?
I'm sure I'm not alone in being a new player who would like to get the full set of booster packs. -
Yes he can. Whenever there is combat the Doctor always ends up as the Mastermind and the people he's helping fight for him like good little henchmen.
Mercs would probably be the best to represent the soldiers of Unit, with Forcefield or Traps as secondary -
Quote:Yeah the Search feature allows that. They can find you even if you are inside a mission or an SG base and yes you can hide from it. Just type in /hide and you'll get a pop up window that lets you customize who you hide from. One thing I've wondered about for quite a while.
I'll be in a mission, or just standing around with no one in sight, when I'll suddenly get a tell and a random SG invite. They definitely can't see me.
I've seen nothing on the LFG search dialog that indicates SG membership status.
Is there some command or interface that I'm unaware of that lets you list personal info from across zones? If so, is there some way to hide this info?
- Hide and block all Invite Options
- Hide from Tells (Private Messages)
- Hide from Global Chat Channels
- Hide from Global Friends
- Hide from Server Friends
- Hide from Supergroup
- Hide from Searches
Rude and lazy jerks use the Search to spam blind invites. Good players use it to form teams by checking to see what flags are set and read any comments you may have posted about your preferences and then send a message to you before an invite. -

Quote:Translation from Devspeak to Forumspeak:Positron did not say that because powerset respec was a lot of work it was not the development schedule. Positron said powerset respec was not on the development schedule which is dev-speak for "we're not working on it" and separately from that said it would take so much work to implement he had no idea what they could possibly price the feature at (assuming it was a Paragon Store feature).
In jest, he suggested agreement with a suggestion by a ustream comment that suggested $50. Although that was obviously a joke, it nevertheless implies in broad strokes both the level of effort involved and the likelihood we'll be seeing this feature anytime in our foreseeable future.
Positron did seem to not be unilaterally opposed to powerset respecs, but that represents only the first of many other non-technical barriers to them being implemented.
No. -

Quote:Thank you for getting that answer from Posi. You may have a bacon flavored internet cookie.okay, I just asked Positron about this subject on Ustream.
He did answer it.
According to Positron the subject of an archtype or power-set respec has been asked for internally.
The developers have done research into the possibility of such a respec.
According to Positron an archtype-respec is functionally impossible.
A power-set respec is technically possible.
However, it is a "lot of work", and as such not currently on the development schedule.
Positron also commented that "if" they did it, they would not know how much it would cost in the Paragon Market in order to cover development costs.
So, I stand corrected on where the developers stand. It appears that the Developers position on a power-set respec have softened from the flat no it was before. -
Quote:I guess you forgot all about this filmI am unashamedly a massive DW nerd, and I'll fight to the death to argue against the Doctor's species being Gallifreyans who include a class called the Timelords ROFL
I'll go watch some old episodes and dig into my library to find some evidence

Where Doctor Who is just an old eccentric earthborn scientist that invented a time machine. -
Quote:You disagree that the devs said that? Sorry to burst your bubble but that's exactly what they said.

Quote:What I'd really like is a Flying platform power with a nice selection of different platforms to choose from. I think we'd get more flexibility out of them as costume/power customization rather than individual powers. The most interesting thing for me, reading all of this talk about iceslides, is that the idea seems to have a surprising amount of support. Would all of you really want an iceslide before, say, other flying platforms, some kind of mount, etc.? Let us know what you're dying to see in game!
I envision several categories like Tech, Magic, Elemental with further options to choose from.
Vehicles and mounts would be nice but may require more work because of having to sit. So I can understand if they would be a separate power.
And costume/power customizations might be something that could sell well to F2p and premium accounts. -
You already know the devs have said they won't allow this to happen. Each and every time someone asks them they say no.
-
Quote:Wrong, as someone who has had a lifetime sub since the game launched I know for a fact many people have said it looks stupid because we've talked about it. Sooo... yes it does look stupid. As someone who played the other game, and knowing others that did, none of us thought it looked stupid.
Sooo...that means it doesn't look stupid! \o/ -
Quote:And I want a motorbike, a jetbike, I Win Button, a big red ball and a Pony. With wings.
And a puppy and a gatling gun, and power armour, and and and-
Short answer;
No
Get over yourself. I 'need' lots of things in game, mostly to do with the CC and power choices. But I also wouldn't expect the Devs to cow-tow to them JUST because I said 'I need them'.
(Exception being things that should be in game and have been asked for for years, by everyone [Backpacks])

You keep using that word. But I do not think it means what you think it means.Quote: -
Big deal, retcons happen all the time in Dr Who. If you look at the old Who, regeneration was as simple as changing hats. When Lalla Ward became the Doctors (Tom Baker) companion as one of the Romanas she tried on half a dozen bodies before the Doctor accepted the one she liked.

Quote:Simple. There's no harm in new power pools either. Why not have different power pools that offer fly? Give them different names or lock a player out from taking Fly if she already has the other power that is Fly.
New Fly Pool
Glide: Activating this toggle drastically decreases the rate at which you fall (probably by changing your jump speed to be very small)
Eagle Eye: Build-up, but with only a 40% damage boost and a 10% to hit buff.
Flight: As fly
Aerial Acrobatics: As Acrobatics. This one requires taking two other powers from this pool.
Death from Above: As the new leap attack.
I mean, why not offer multiple ways to fly?
1. By giving the stuff to us as costume choices it gives players much more flexiblity in customization and players can make changes at the tailor rather than burn a frakkin respec and tear apart a build
2. Keeping them as costume choices means we will get a hell of a lot more of them a hell of a lot faster than if we had to wait for the devs to create and test an entirely new travel power set -
Quote:The OP did.No one is seriously suggesting changing ATs so that last sentence was totally unneeded.
Quote:Respecs that only change 1 powerset would have a certain cost, both sets would be double that cost, both sets and AT would be triple
Respecs that only changed AT but kept the same powersets would cost the same as a 1 set respec, AT and 1 set would be double, and again AT + both sets triple. -
Quote:As long as our Ice platform doesn't look like Cryptics (which is a frozen surfboard) we should be golden. If the devs add the platforms as choices to customize Hover Board they can just call it element: ice....and your solution to make your idea for that working in a game is what?
The platform could look like a jagged circular chunk of ice with a flat top to stand on.
Also going with the concept of Element Platforms they could have several options like they did with shields. Like platforms of Fire, Earth, Ice, Electricity, Shadow, Twister (wind) . . . -
Quote:I don't think the Imperial Guard were actual Time Lords. Just Gallifreyan redshirts.Spoilers!
The Gallifreyan Imperial Guard or whatever they were called had ray guns of some kind. If we had a raygun set or sth we could make them, maybe.
This reminds me, I wish there were Gallifreyan-style curly cowl back jobbies like the Timelords wear in the costume creator.

Quote:If I recall the reason they said they were postponing the market merge as long as possible was because they felt that the available wealth redside couldn't compete with the amount of wealth blueside.Actually, no in both cases. In the first case, the devs said basically that they didn't want to, and that it would take more resources than available to ensure it happened smoothly. In the second case, they barely said anything at all except that they didn't want them to become too low.
The markets in particular I'm specifically aware of the exact moment they decided to merge them, and the exact rationale for why at the time. Basically, the magnitude of the effort involved in keeping them separate was becoming competitive with the effort involved in merging them. We came very close to having three independent currencies and markets before the decision was made to merge.
