Quote:Because it was exclusive (.....unless you bought the hero kit ; ' )
I'd like the exclusive things advertised as exclusive which I purchased to remain that way, thanks.
When they released the digital hero kit in response to player requests it stopped being exclusive. -
Quote:I'm not objecting to making it available again but if I had to guess why it hasn't been released I'd say because it was specifically intended to only be a part of the collector's edition and they don't want to change it.I just want the bleeping power slide, nothing else.
Considering other pre orders became vet rewards why can we still not get power slide?
I sincerely hope they change their minds tho. -
Where were you looking? Amazon has two listed for $99.94 and 7 used. 6 of the used advertisements admit the code has been used and of those one idiot is trying to sell the used code it for $44.95, it doesn't even have the heroclix.

Quote:Have no fear we will,Be prepared to rally to the call again, and again, and again...etc. Of course there will be an especially high volume of these kind of remarks once Freedom is actually launched.
just like we rally to the call each time someone posts a merge the servers, power set/AT respecs, etc. We've been providing helpful explanations for 7 years despite the countless negative/hostile attitudes displayed by people that can't stand criticism or the idea that the devs simply don't want the game to work the way they are suggesting. So there's no reason we would stop being helpful now.

Quote:Antibiotics have been around for thousands of years, and a recent discovery in China reveals the existance of a Han Dynasty latrine relic used in 206 BC was found equipped with running water supply, an armrest, and a stone bowl. It was something similar to what is commonly used today.Yes, damn antibiotics and indoor plumbing! Not to mention art and music! Worst things ever!
And civilization doesn't create art and music, gifted individuals do.
So you don't need a modern civilization for any of those things you mentioned. -
No. The OP's question was about us using our current real life knowledge. How we got that level of knowledge isn't relevant to the question.

Quote:Don't hate the world. It's the human race I can't stand in general. There are a few exceptions but it's a real PITA to sift thru them individually to sort out the gems, and I wouldn't be one of the gems. You first. i'd expect this is the last post you'll ever make, but then i do have to wonder at the depth of your hatred for the world that you've obviously been using and tacitly aiding something you consider so malevolent for decades.

Quote:Already live in a cave and I don't have any kids. Neener neener neener.Ok if you really think that, then do the world a favor and go live in a cave, it's amazing how some people complain about civilization and how humans are ruining the planet, yet they still live in civilization and they keep having kids, if they really cared, the first thing they would do is get themselves fixed and then go live in a cave.

Quote:I'm not sure how much time this would take, or how difficult it would be to implement, but is there any way that the red/orange/yellow/green borders on the map be replaced with something that shows a color that is based on what level your character is? So, in your early days, you happen to accidentally wander into Talos, and you'd see that the neighborhoods in that zone are outlined in purple, letting you know that you shouldn't be there. I think it would be a good way to help people know what zones they are appropriate for, while also showing people where to go if they want more of a challenge.
The colors on the neighborhood borders on the maps are fine as is and they are simple to figure out and serve the same purpose the OP is suggesting so /unsigned. -
All of the above. The devs want there to be consequences that players must live with when we decide to switch sides. We give up one thing for something else. That's the whole point behind the morality feature.

Why would I want to reintroduce modern civilization. Civilization is the most destructive thing ever invented by the human race. The world would be better off without it.

Quote:In a perfect world where all the servers can handle the increased loads 2XP weekends generate when combined with the draw of the holiday events? No it wouldn't hurt.To the original suggestion. Would bonus xp weekends on holidays help or hurt the game?
But we don't live in a perfect world and I know lots of people be plenty pissed if their holiday event was ruined by server crashes caused by population overload and they had to wait a bleeping year for the holiday event to be held again.
So my preference is to keep them separate. -
Ever get the feeling that the forums are surreptitiously translating your posts into some obscure dialect of hieroglyphics, pictographs, or cuneiform?

Quote:Please re-read what Bill said. You can't get more than 1 helmet if you are using the pre-order codes.Hi, the helmet I like to get first is The Blood Widows, then Crab Spider Battle Helmet.
The type of helmet you got from the code depended on which retailer you got it from.
- EB Games: Crab Spider Battle Helmet (male)
- Gamestop: Helmet Of The Blood Widows (female)
- Best Buy: Arachnos Mystic Helm (male)
- All other U.S. retailers: Wolf Spider War Helmet (male)
If you seriously want the other 3 helmets the only way you can get them is by unlocking the vet reward when Freedom goes live.
Your options are either just one helmet via preorder code or all four helmets via vet reward. There is no other choice.

Thanks for the clarification on the percentage of those XP boosts. Knowing that it seems much less likely they'll do away with 2XP weekends.
-
Double XP weekends may be a thing of the past. When Freedom goes live players will be able to buy Double XP tokens from the store and use them whenever they like.
Now if they do decide to keep Double XP weekends they'll probably devise a way to disable the tokens during the event to prevent people from exploiting them for Quadruple XP. -

You've always had the option of not responding to anything that's posted. You could even put me on your ignore list and never see anything I say, unless I'm quoted by someone else.
As to the thread itself, it had already quietly slipped away until you chose to bring it back. -
I believe the auto demote can be set for up to 45 days.
If you (generic you) are going to be away for any length of time, and you want to keep your SG/base the safest thing to do is kick the other players. That's the only way to guarantee the you will retain ownership when you return.
The devs and CS will not help you if someone else gets the red star/Super Leader rank and refuses to give it up.
The reason for this was because CS was being inundated with stupid petty complaints over SG politics by players that couldn't get along. So they made the Super Leader rank and made that rank the defacto SG/Base owner and now they refuse to get involved. -
Quote:Once again you are wrong. Stating that I'll be amused should you choose to bump your thread to the point the mods notice it and take action doesn't mean you are being taken seriously.Well if you wanted to get technical about it you could consider it 1 bump. Though to be honest people bump their stuff all the time, all such a ruling does is make you "need" to argue to bump.
Nevertheless I wasn't seriously going to pursue this or anything. Just a light joke for those that participated in the thread. Ironically your response is helping keep it alive though. Also, thread is outdated anyhow, OP no longer accurately reflects my opinion. Remember I dropped the rewards thing.
Regardless, you taking it too seriously means I wasn't clear enough in my humor. Back to the game for me hehe.
If there are any worries about the thread I'd actually recommend locking it myself, If I wish to return to the subject I can make a new thread that more accurately reflects my current views. Important difference since most people don't read beyond the first page.
What's actually happening is nothing more than you see when a crowd gathers to see if someone will jump off a building, watch a fire, or when they grab a video camera to tape a tragedy instead of helping. -
Quote:They didn't ask us if we liked it or not. The devs flat out told us they don't want us switching alignments at the drop of a hat. They want it to take several days to accomplish. This is how they want the 20 hour timers to work.I see that the ability to rapidly change morality annoys some people, although over time it would take the same amount.
Edit: Oh and just in case the OP wasn't aware of it the 20 hour timers were added to the game a couple of years before the devs added side switching. The timers were added to help limit the rewards players were getting from running Speed Katies and other short TF's back to back. -
I'm going to laugh if the OP gets his thread modsmacked because he's bumping posts to keep it on the front page.
