RMTer's used to use subterfuge to get SG invites back before the I12 restrictions to harass players and rob SG storage. Also in a lot of cases the poor guy that sponsored/invited the RMT scum would also get kicked because he couldn't prove that he wasn't using a free alt account to steal for himself. -
F2P accounts can:
Talk in /local
Talk in /help (server wide)
Talk in /friends (server wide)
Talk to teammates on /team
and reply to tells by using /r.
I do think it would be nice if they could talk to people that they had on their /global friends list. -
I had to resort to using another language to get the name of a bird because part of the name is blocked by the darn profanity filter.

The AE edition also used to come with a free booster. Science or Magic. The question there is, is that promotion still valid since they did away with all the old booster packs.

Quote:I was able to log on this morning to check on promotions.... for some reason the leader switched to the toon I've had the longest. The funny thing is I'm a one-person SG and I have maybe 8 toons in the SG, so nobody else could have demoted my guy. Crazy
anyways, thanks for the idea to look for that issue.
Hope everything works out for you. -
Quote:Just because you don't like the answers and can't refute the facts arrayed against your position doesn't mean your question hasn't been answered. But please continue because we find your posts just as amusing as you find ours.People who fabricate other people's emotions or motivations are obviously standing on weak logical ground.
I never said I was quiting, I said I'd no longer be a subscriber. I had never intended to subscribe past my current sub, before I even subbed in the first place. I did it as a bridge to the f2p, nothing more.
It's not about what every single individual VIP wants. If it were, then while the system is fair for you, it's not fair for others, so your argument is moot. It's about what should or shouldn't be included with a subscription fee. I remember back when most sane people balked at the idea of paying 12 dollars a month for a subscription to any game. Heck this continued for years, even sometime past the grand success of WoW.
The mmorpg playerbase has truly become sheep, in contrast to what used to be demanded of mmorpg developers.
Yet, this is tangential, no one has really answered the topic question, because you can't. You are at a loss and have to revert to the same old tired arguments. But by all means, continue repeating them, quoting them, 'this'ing the quotes, etc. It's amusing, which is unfortunately all that rational topics like this can achieve.
Unfortunately, it's the game that will suffer in the longterm. We'll see how energetic the devs are in a few months when their overpriced items and low VIP population leave them back at square one, or worse. -

No one said you were an isolated case. Lots of people have entitlement issues to some degree. I have some myself.

Quote:The Archetypes themselves may also need to be unlocked. MM's, Controllers, and Epic AT's can't be used unless you have enough Paragon rewards to unlock them on free accounts.it may require the character to be unlocked to transfer
it also may require that you have an available slot on the server you want to transfer too
aside from that im not sure why the transfer would not work if you have the token available
And the faction may also need to be unlocked. If you never bought Going Rogue and created Preatorians after I21 went live you won't be able to access them on a Premium account until you buy GR. -
Quote:Oh here we go, anyone that doesn't agree with him is defending the devs.Since you are one of the only people to actually address the point of the topic, I'll respond even though you may not be actually trying to make a point. I can't tell.
Firstly, it's a question. A valid response would be an answer to the question. It can be a business reason, an ethical reason I suppose, a fairness between parties reason, etc. No one has one as far as I can tell. They will defend the devs no matter what, and using things like what VIPs get that premiums don't, but that just doesn't answer the question.
Is this game really more valuable than other subscription based games that in order to get everything it should cost more than 15 a month? It's a different question admittedly, but I imagine the answer has to be yes to this in order to justify the current system.
Quote:It's already been stated but if you have enough invested that what you like about the game is now covered by your tier then going premium might make more sense for you. There is no reason to stay VIP if the extra perks don't suit you. Go premium and buy points when something hits the store you want. That's the point of Freedom, you pay for what you value and keep on playing. -

Quote:If there's an exploration badge attached it's too easy for people to simply use Vidiotmaps to find out exactly where everything is.The mass graves in Sharks.
The Council base in RWZ.
The developers' room in Grandville.
The developers' lounge in Faultline.
The hanging tree in St. Martial.
The cast away islands in Cap and Monster Island
Funny thing is most don't have an explore badge to go with them.
And I love Vidiotmaps. -
Quote:Good to see you admitting that you have nothing to complain about. My account went premium briefly over the weekend and pretty much everything except the horrendous SSA & iTrials were available to me. Quote:Didn't see any shapeshifting being done.Have you seen this?
Didn't see any use of existing power sets.
I did see something that at this point could be a really cool non combat pet. -

Quote:I never said I thought you disagreed with the trial being a low level option. What I actually responded to was your posting this:I'm really not sure where you were seeing that I disagree with the trial being in as a low level option.
Quote:Honestly, if the logic behind keeping it this way is "Well why do all the boring low level stuff when I can skip my way to 50 where I have fun" and the Devs agree with it, they may as well just let us make characters that start at 50.
Quote:People are using it for much more than low level content. They're not just bypassing the new Atlas Bottleneck, they're skipping straight past King's Row, The Hollows, Steel Canyon, Faultline, and even Talos and beyond. That's just ridiculous.
They've been doing the same thing for years hanging out in PI begging to be power leveled, by getting sidekicked on high level TF's and teams, and running AE farms. As long as they aren't abusing any exploits, or breaking any rules it's none of our business how they choose to play the game.
Forcing people to do things they don't enjoy isn't going to encourage them to stick around, and all that you'll accomplish with the ones that don't like it but do stay for the end-game is make them anti-social. -
Quote:And the players that pay in advance are paying less.$15 a month - $5 a month of Paragon Points = $10
Huh. It looks like my cost of subscribing actually went down.
3 months: $41.85* (equivalent to $13.95 per month) - $5 = $8.95
6 months: $77.70* (equivalent to $12.95 per month) - $5 = $7.95
12 months: $143.40* (equivalent to $11.95 per month) - $5 = $6.95
If you also consider the price of the free server transfers it drops another $9.99.
