I might be a little late to this subject... I JUST realized you could do this until 50. It's funny that they Devs are attacking AE left and right but DfB is okay because it's their content. Both AE and DfB create the same type of "babies" unaware of what their powers do and how their character meshes with others.
And before there were AE babies we had PI babies that stood around Peregrine Island getting PL'd and just as clueless about how their powers and how to "mesh" with others.
And before the PI babies there were the WL babies that appeared during the first Winter Event.
And throughout it all we always had the Sewer Run Babies.
This game has always had PL'd "X" babies that were clueless. -
If they are gonna do a Linux version then I want a version compatible with my old IBM System/3.

Surely if both accounts had to be on the same NCSoft master account the whole RMT argument is nullified? I still don't see them bothering because unless the fee they charged was astronomical it would not be worth the dev resources.
Do you think NCSoft is really stupid enough to allow people to twink out characters on a main account that has all the perks unlocked and then transfer them to an account that hasn't spent the money required to use those perks?
And if NCSoft were to allow transfers like this but blocked the use of perks that weren't unlocked first on other accounts just imagine the outrage from the people that bought the transfers and discovered they couldn't use anything that was used to trick out the character without spending even more money. -

I decided to create a new character on a Free account today and see how much money I could get after a few hours of playing. I chose Justice server because it's a lower pop server and there would be fewer people online to make it harder to get big teams together than on Virtue or Freedom, and I ran a mix of DfB's and regular missions when those trial teams broke up.
As you can see I managed to get her up to level 15 so far.
And from these pics you can see she doesn't have any special powers or a Market license to sell her drops.
And here you can see that she is fully slotted out with DO's So please answer me this question.
Despite being fully slotted out with DO's and having a remaining balance of over 300k influence. Where is this feeling of frustration I'm supposed to have because I can't afford to buy the top line stuff for my character? -

Small idea I had last night while attempting to get a new name for an alt, and one idea that has been probably thrown around many many many many times before. With this new influx of players the need for non-gibberish names is in high demand. I'm a player who HATES to have to use a dash, comma, period, or an apostrophe to get a name. Sometimes a dash or apostrophe is needed theme or grammar wise but still, its painful for me to do. I also see xXxNarturoxXx kinda stuff lately...totally uncool too.
So my idea is can we purge the trial accounts of the names they hold if the trial account is inactive for so many months? I looked up a name on Liberty last night and the name was held by global @Trial WQ1H6 (or something similar not to point fingers). I know with other NCsoft games (I'm looking at you Aion!) That if a subscription is inactive for i believe 6+months the names of characters under a particular level are released back into the community. Now there is no announcement saying the names are back in circulation but you get my point....
Also I guess since reading the Virtue Name Watch thread that OLD OLD CoX accounts that went inactive before globals were introduced still hold wanted names....can those be marked for purging as well? Please?

Sorry for the inconvenience this causes but our devs seem to be dead set against making it easy for us to create solo SG's. I think it was in a September maybe October Ustream that they were asked about letting us use emails to send SG invites and the devs said that if they did add that feature we would not be allowed to send SG invites to our own characters. Only other accounts.

OH and do I now need to be explicit that capes will open after a mission at 20 from the city representative and auras will open at 30 after a similar mission.

Actually they can. You can use Astral merits to unlock capes and auras on a single character of any level (you need a level 50 to get the merits but the unlock token can be used by any character on your account).

Not only that, but the only way to "fund" new alts was by use of a trusted 3rd party (or 2nd account) to direct trade inf and you could only trade 100,000inf at a time, so even giving someone a couple of million to buy a round of SOs took quite a while.

The end result is that if neither he nor his wife is willing to spend money on her account then she won't get Paragon Reward to unlock any of the features you mentioned. -
I didn't notice any more lag than usual for a zone event on my system, but everyone has different systems.

To some extent I agree, but I think the most important reason is to keep people coming back and checking the market, keeping them engaged in the game and keeping it dynamic. Now whether the weekly updates they've been making have the desired effect...well, YMMV.
