Quote:Very little of the AP Origin content sent people to Galaxy City so they could have left that alone and worked on giving the Galaxy Origin content mission doors in AP.Probably because of that content needs to be rewritten because it points people to go to Galaxy City, which they can't do, except by going to the Echo of Galaxy City through Ouroboros, which no low level players have access to, or an SG base teleporter, which some, but not all, low level players have access to.

Quote:You are not the only person that needs the help of Customer Support. You have to wait your turn just like everyone else.Still doesn't help the fact that i have to wait a day for him to respond to my ticket, then i have to request the escalation, meaning i'll have to wait another few days for someone else.
It would just be better if he could stop handling my tickets in the 1st place. -
The powers are unslottable for a reason and are supposed to become less and less effective as we level up, so no the devs aren't going to sell stuff to boost them.

Quote:I agree .. I actually quit using those contacts long ago and new characters just joined one of countless sewer teams to get to a level high enough to head off to KR and do radios. But those old contacts would have given everyone at least a third choice. Its kind of silly really because they didnt delete any of them but only two show u as talk to contacts in later level missions so the others are just standing around doing nothing. Maybe the intent is to eventually redo their missions and add them later. Having started on cov I always found it interesting that no contact below level ten had a story arc at all hero side .. I could leave Mercy island with a few reward merits.
They haven't even removed the original missions from the AP Origin contacts. I've been playing my old pre-I21 characters that I made and never got around to running and they've been doing their Origin missions instead of the new Habashy/DfB stuff. -
The illusion of variety is critical to a games replayability. I don't play villains because I hate being railroaded to do Kalinda or Burke. The same goes for Praetoria and Praetor White. Now the devs have turned Atlas Park into the same thing that killed my interest in playing villains and Praets.

By fix I hope you mean give us an option for a blank SG emblem. I'm sick of having my floors and windows covered in unwanted symbols. I'm actually enjoying this bug immensely and hope it takes forever to get resolved.

Quote:a fair amount of that content just came this issue. its a bit early to call "sick to death" when mercy and atlas are new and fairly low on the running around for more than a mile.Quote:Not for me. Having run about 6 or my 20 or so new alts through the new Atlas content I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the DfB, too, but at least it's a quicker way to a greater variety of content.
I was sick of both the new Atlas Park content and the DfB three days after Freedom launched. Prior to Freedom I had 10 starting contacts in two zones to choose from to having to choose between the DfB and Matthew Habashy.
Would it really have killed the devs to leave the old contacts in the game and give new characters a pop up window like the introduction to new contacts window and let new characters choose between Matthew Habashy and their Origin contacts? Moving the Galaxy contacts over each character could have had three initial contacts to choose from. -
The best subscription deal a players can currently get is paying for a year in advance which gets them a discount of roughly $10 bucks a month. So using the OP's suggestion they would get 4,800 points for $120 dollars.
Now if they are buying the time just to get points up front they would be grossly screwing themselves over because $120 spent on plain points in the market gets them 11,320 points. -
No actually you are both agreeing with me. You see the OP is implying that everyone has stopped playing all content except DfB's. And my argument is that the same thing was said about all the other examples I gave. It wasn't true for them and it isn't true for the DfB. Most people are spread across 18 servers each having 50+ zones, inside of god knows how many hundreds if not thousands of instanced missions. And only the devs could tell us how many thousands of players are actively using /hide of some sort to get some peace and quiet.
The both of you have confirmed my position by admitting that you stop doing the DfB well before you get to level 50. Sure there will always be a portion of players that will always focus on a mad rush to the level cap. That's their choice and they'll find a way to do it one way or another, but they don't represent the majority of players. -

Nothing bi-polar about it. What I personally would like to see happen has nothing to do with the fact that the devs have told us that the decision to keep those perks exclusive won't change until certain people at the company no longer work there. The only thing I can do is add my voice in support of the suggestion and hope that whomever makes that decision at NCSoft changes their mind or leaves the company.
Edit: Oh and as an FYI I personally hate the policy where management and executives remain anonymous and let their subordinates deal with the brown smelly end of the stick. I've been fired from several CS jobs for giving upset customers the direct office numbers and names of the people who made unpopular decisions. -
What part of it's not the devs decision do you not understand. The decision to keep those items exclusive comes from some person or persons above the devs in the corporate ladder.

Quote:The original CoH didn't come with 10 slots. It came with 8. Then when CoV was released it unlocked 4 additional slots for a total of 12.I actually consider the slots thing a blatant rip off. You're meant to keep what you paid for, right? Well, the original CoH came with 10 slots, so why don't you keep those 10, huh?
Then CoV came with 2, GR with another 2, that means if you bought all three of those there should be 14 slots as a basic minimum when you drop to Premium.
So basically, they lied when they said you keep what you paid for. -
Quote:Same thing can be said about people using the AE power level farms, TF's, Mothership raids, the old sewer runs, and begging for PL teams in PI.So, what's the point of having anything in this game besides the sewer trial, since that's almost the only thing people are doing most of the time?
The DfB is simply the newest flavor of the month to be run. In a few months interest will drop off just like it has with everything else and people will return to their old favorites or whatever the new fotm is. -
Quote:THANK YOU!!I remember the comment you are referring to in one of the dev webcasts, I believe it was made by Positron or perhaps War Witch. If I recall though, they were addressing the question of whether the DVD edition stuff would ever be made into Paragon Rewards (ie. Free).
I think part of the issue is the fact that the stuff in the DVD editions was sold as "exclusive". Unlike pre-order items (which are already Paragon Rewards now), there was additional money paid for this "exclusive" access. Those making the decision aren't willing to give those who paid that additional money the proverbial middle finger, nor are they willing to compensate them.
There was something niggling at the back of my mind saying I was forgetting something about that conversation. I just couldn't remember that the question was about making the perks Paragon Rewards.
I hope they do one day offer the perks in the store for people that want it. -
Using the old box set codes should be fine, as long as you don't use 2 codes from the same edition on an account. They don't stack so you can't get 60 days free time by using 2 CoV codes.
Now some of the perks from the old editions don't apply anymore. I don't think you get the 2 extra character slots like you used to get with the old Going Rogue Edition, and I don't think you can get the free booster pack from the Architect Edition because boosters don't exist anymore. But you should still get the in game perks from the collectors editions.
And I believe using those codes on a Free account is an automatic upgrade to Premium once the free 30 days expires. -
Don't want a monstrous robot chicken leg. I want a regular prosthetic leg like we have for arms. The pirates peg leg doesn't suit some of my character concepts. A modern themed character should have the option of a modern prosthetic not a wooden stick.
I'd like to be able to choose between right or left legs as well as choose between a full leg or just at the knee. -
Well that's not gonna happen. We were lucky to get that much of an answer. Being told that the people that make the decision would have to leave the company before the policy gets changed is a clear indication that it's a management decision from somewhere higher on the corporate ladder than the devs. It's out of their hands, and they aren't in a position to demand that their bosses justify their decisions to satisfy a disgruntled customer.
Quote:cause honestly at this point they loosing out on an opportunity to make money, they have given away DVD edition prize packs for free why not sell them and make some money? Cause I just looked on Ebay and i can get it for about $5-$10 + $5 s&h new so really they could offer it at $5 for in game items only and come out on top since there is no S&H
And personally I find the companies continued refusal to sell some things to be proof that they aren't solely motivated by making money. If their only concern was nickel and diming their customers things like this would already be on the market. -
Been asked for many times and we've been told no. If I recall correctly I think this was the topic that we were told that certain people would have to stop working at the company before this would be reconsidered, and that comment was made after I21 went live.
This isn't an issue about players shooting the idea down. -
What you choose to believe or disbelieve isn't relevant. The devs aren't responsible for your fantasies and unrealistic expectations.
