    You know very well that not all firearms are held the same way.

    Using a pistol requires completely different body stance than a rifle. The devs will have to redo every single power. They will also have to move the location from where the power originates from. Otherwise you will have the weapon at one location and the power appearing at a completely different spot.

    The same goes for firing an assault rifle one handed.


    These issues are why when the devs finally did give us alternate selections to choose from they only did it for a handful of power sets. And due to the amount of work involved we are far more likely to see alternate animations included in new power sets rather than adding them to old ones.

    We'd all like alternate animations for all the power sets but because of the work involved it will be a long time before we see it done, if ever.

    What? You mean people forced to play redside on the lowest pop server might simply use a server transfer or an alignment change token to go where they actually want to be?




    Sadly the OP's ideas won't encourage teaming redside in the way he thinks. Instead we'd see Hero badgers forming groups and using alignment changing tokens to hop to redside and farm/power game for the badges then immediately hop back to blue side.

    That was the exploit in the CoP itself and the CoP was pulled October 11, 2006, but the IoP's were supposed to decay after 21 days and some weren't. The devs announced they were pulling the IoP's during the week of 12/4/06.

    Then on 3/10/08 the devs announced they were removing the last of the IoP's that were still being used in some SG's some 18+ months after they should have expired.

    From what I recall the SG buffs were supposed to decay after 27 days and they weren't so they were pulled, and either they haven't been able to fix them or it simply isn't a priority.

    Now my memory on the reason why they were pulled may be faulty but they were indeed pulled.

    Exactly which zones are you referring to? We pretty much have access to all of them except the ones that for story reasons are blocked.

This has probably been mentioned somewhere before but I was just watching Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow again and I noticed for the first time in the scene where Gwyneth Paltrow comes out of the theater at the beginning of the giant robot attack that Kings Row is prominently displayed on a couple of signs outside.

  13. This already exists in the game. It's called the Cathedral of Pain Trial. Originally one of the rewards was Items of Power which gave SG members various buffs as long as they were in SG mode. The IoP's were pulled because they were bugged.

    Well I imagine in a perfect world you would get a pop up window for the filter and you'd be able to select to filter out groups of drops.

    For example

    o All SO's
    o Magic SO's
    o Natural SO's
    o Mutation SO's
    o Science SO's
    o Technology SO's

    And players just check the ones they want to auto delete.

    Also there could be tabs on the pop up window for DO's, SO's, and IO recipe's so there wouldn't be a lot of clutter crammed into one window.

    I don't think the filter would work well with IO Salvage because what's valuable and what's junk on the market is scattered between the common, uncommon, and rare designations.

    I believe there is more wiggle room there because it's currently impossible to violate costume copyright on henchmen, but ultimately if petitioned the final decision will be made by a GM.

    Best advice was given earlier. If you have to ask then don't do it.

    Cutscenes

    I've been playing in a newly launched MMO and I am now sick to death of flippin cutscenes. Every single time you go to a contact you spend 10 minutes playing thru the damn cutscenes. Worse they linked it to their morality choices, and the written text doesn't match the voice acting so you have to constantly start over every time you find out your initial choice means something entirely different.


    So I find myself agreeing with wanting to toggle cutscenes off.

    As Rod already pointed out here this already exists in the game as a Paragon Reward, and they are available to everyone that unlocks them regardless of what type of account they have.

    The set is a Tier 7 reward and you need at least 21 reward token before you can unlock them.

    Non subscribers get a free reward token for every 1200 Paragon Points they buy.

    Once the reward is unlocked you will get that set automatically every time you create a new character.

    I'm neither for nor against a filter. I also haven't made any critical comments to the people that think some drops are garbage when I personally either use or sell everything I get. To each his own.

    But I will reiterate that I believe that if the devs were to add a drop filter, it would only act as an auto delete, and I will get a great amount of amusement watching the peanut gallery make their rage posts because they assumed the filter was more than an auto delete, and that the filter is bugged because their trays aren't filling up as fast.

    The one where you actually do missions and participate when teaming with others. I don't enjoy door sitting or hanging back while others do all the work.

    What power set(s) do you favor?

    The only power set I hate is Psychic Blast. I have no favorites among the others.

    I like Croatoa best.

    Mixed. Depends entirely on character concept.

    Moderate. I'm at best a casual RPer, and I've never taken it to the extremes some people do.

    Another fantastic group of players are the members of the Mentor Project.
